    I'm writing a book in which one of the main characters is a hockey player, and as someone who knows nothing about hockey and isn't even a fan of the sport, I'm freaking impressed dude. You're extremely talented - thanks for helping me with one of my scenes lmao

    Excellent skating. You’ve given me ideas for my inline hockey practice while waiting for the ice rinks to reopen. I had five minutes on ice skates today, I’ve forgotten how to skate on ice!

    good stuff! how about doing it with the head up (even a little bit) to make sure all these quick stickhandling drills actually translate to game situations vs lead to concussions?

      Try and not focus on what you can't do, instead, stay positive and focus on what you CAN do. All you can do is do your best. Also, I wrote a two-part blog series on training around hockey injuries and how to accelerate the repair process. Hopefully they can help you out, you can get access to them here:

    do you recommend watching nhl games and/or breakdowns of different things or is that not important?

    • @yeetuspeetus6598
      @yeetuspeetus6598 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's very important. If you can see a play unfolding, and link it to what your favorite NHL player did in that situation(if it was a good play) then it really helps alot

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's definitely helpful to watch the shifts from the NHLs best players.

    Quick Question: I am a college basketball player, not a hockey player, but I'm interested in incorporating some of training that goes into the low lunge type of movements and positions used in hockey in order to become more strong, stable, and explosive out of low positions while playing basketball. For example, being able to lunge as low as possible is often what makes one's basketball moves the most effective. An example of this would be the crossover, where you would do somewhat of a diagonal lunge, and then quickly explode out of such a position. Would anyone from your staff consider possibly helping me incorporate some of the leg training associated with such movements into my current strength and conditioning program in exchange for payment? Thanks. - Andrew T

      @hockeytraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Andrew! Thanks for reaching out, but unfortunately this isn't a service we offer. We specialize in hockey and for you to get the best results you're going to want a basketball training specialist. Best of luck! I hope our videos can still help you out in some way.

    SURMOUNTING (A poem inspired by Olympian and Pro Hockey Player Mrs Chelsey Goldberg).
    //
    My message to the universe is this: Never give up. Adversity never lasts.
    //
    My message to quitters is this: Do not quit get better improve and be stronger.
    //
    Challenges can no longer destroy our will to be champions. Keep on skating.
    //
    When you fall on the ice, keep on skating. Be who you are, warriors.
    //
    During our battles, remember, we are indestructible. We can make miracles.
    //
    We are miracles for our breaths. No amount of setbacks can set us back.
    //
    It is our time to rise and emerge into
