  • Complete 10-minute stickhandling session working on Connor Bedard moves that you can follow along to at home with just a stick and puck/ball.
In this session, we work on 5 different drills that are based on moves that future NHL draft pick, Connor Bedard, has pulled off recently in games.
You can find more stickhandling sessions on our app "Hockey Training TV" that you can download on your iOS or Android devices.
I also plan to release a Bedard 2.0 stickhandling session in the near future, so stay tuned!

Nice vid. Currently going to bed but next time I’m off ice I will give this a go! These sessions are always great. I always use the stickhandling drill video

I may be able to pull this off with some serious wishful thinking 😅.
Your last challenge video was probably the silliest thing I’ve ever recorded myself doing, I couldn’t stop laughing because I was SO bad 😂. But hey, it was good practice. Keep ‘em coming!

Love the video by the way, scored an end to end bar down goal in tryouts only using what you taught me

I am a complete newbie to learning to play hockey and have been practicing my stick handling in the basement...but I need to ask a complete newbie question: is basic stick handling more of a drag-catch (keep contact with the puck) or a tap-catch (tap the puck and then quickly get ahead of it to catch it)?

I'm also pretty new to hockey, but I believe the drag-catch is better bc if you use the tap-catch, the puck will leave your stick. in a game, you don't want the opponent to have a chance to steal the puck. if you use the tap-catch, the puck will be free for maybe 1 or 2 seconds, and it will be enough for the opponent to steal the puck.

Tap is much faster but it depends what move you’re trying to accomplish

It depends on the situation in the game.

For someone who lives an apartment on the second floor, where do you recommend going for some off-ice stick handling practice? There’s nothing but concrete around here in LA.. No sport-court that is publicly available.

Concrete with a green biscuit is fine with an older stick!

@@hockeytraining thanks for the reply. Gotta find some smooth concrete because most of it is non-smooth black top or non-smooth cement
