What if I changed it (one of the hardest jobs I've done), and the car stalls out still? Does the sensor need to be "relaearned"? Could the sensor be faulty? I hate Ford! Never will I buy another Ford. Lemon since the 1st day.
Make sure you have a bore scope for this one. I've been on this for a few hours now and just said f-it and bought a cheap Amazon one. Like 30 bucks and I was finally able to see it wtf I was doing.
Found the trick to reinstall, make sure the bolt has a "tapered" end "after markets bolts" do not. 2ND use a 2-3 in 1/4 in screwdriver bit with 7mm socket, next use 1/2 heat shrinking tube to hold the sensor bolt and socket together about 7/8 in long, just enough to cover the bolt and socket. This will give you the leverage you need to find and drive the tapered bolt into position. When done simply twist and pull the screwdriver bit out...whala!!! All done.
After a few days of trying and rewatching this video multiple times, I've come to the conclusion there see step left out. There isn't enough room for me to get a 3 inch extension with a ratchet much less both hands. The cat heat shield is in the way of everything
🚨WARNING🚨 The comments are true!!! You cannot get the bolt back in place!!! Also, the bolt that came with my aftermarket part was slightly different and stripped the threads on the housing!!! Be aware/proceed with caution. I would highly recommend double checking everything else before this part and if you HAVE TO then get this done professionally. I love TRQ and 1A Auto, but this video is super misleading.

How the hell is he able to get both hands in there?
How the hell is he able to get that right hand in there from behind?
It is not easy to reinstall the sensor at all. You can not see where it goes and must do it blind! Good luck!!
I’ve been trying to get it back in position for three days now…
If this problem is affecting your Ford. Just trade it in. Done with the brand for life. This car has been a nightmare
Did you have to remove anything to get to that sheild
Any tips on removing lost 7mm socket that fell in there?

How much should a shop charge for this service if I take it to a mechanic?
Dude, what kind of engine ?

This is the same location for the 2012 Ford Taurus 3.5.
Gracias excelente información
I don't want to criticize, but I just want to point out for those who aren't repair savvy: do NOT pull sensors off by the wire lol

Prepare for finger cramps.

Installation is way harder than removing . There is no space for the fingers
takes longer than 6 1/2 mins for sure
