@@TheDubaiExpat OK cool will do. I know what you mean about the strap, i do also feel it needs to taper however i was going to also get the rubber strap and wear it mostly on that. I felt when i tried it on with that combo it reduced the weight as well.. wish i had found time to go and get it now :) Have you been wearing it a lot since you have got it?

it's a great movement, but he knocked a few points off due to the finish. my initial reaction was just like yours, but let's not forget there are some super high end watch brands that go all out on movement finishes and decorations.
It only has a 60 hour max power reserve, isn't decorated, and still has anti-magnetism rating. The best sports watches these days don't have a gauss rating because they are completely amagnetic. They also have a 70 hour power reserve and stay running at plus or minus 2 seconds per day forever. The Omega is still only anti-megnetic and is plus or minus 4 seconds per day. Good watch and solid movement, but nothing really special.

The Omega does excellent in this department, with one of the highest, if not the highest rating. You’re also wrong about the power reserve, precision and decoration, especially in this price bracket and even compared to other movements sold in watches which are more expensive.
@@diavalus the balance wheel and timing springs in today's best watches are made of amagnetic silicon, so they are not sustainable to issues caused by magnetism. Tudor for example in their in-house movements use a patented amagnetic syloxi, so does Rolex. They also both have 70 hour power reserves and while most Tudors do not feature exhibition case backs, and Rolex never do, they are beautifully decorated. You also of course have Glashutte Original, and Blancpain who also make dive watches that use their own patented amagnetic silicon material. They have the most beautiful movements with crazy power reserves. The fifty fathoms for example has 120 hour power reserve.

technically Omega is better than Rolex, but the crown brand has, in addition to better marketing and ridiculously exorbitant prices, a “I don't know what” that makes it special. Both brands with Panerai and IWC are my favorites

i have the chrome dial version of this watch. the problem with this watch is no matter what color you buy, you will always wonder if you should've bought a different color.

Never ever flip through the date wheel like that while the hands are in the upper hemisphere of the watch between nine and three! This is a good way to danger, the teeth on the date engagement wheels
It’s gorgeous, only thing I wish was a little different is if the minute hand was a millimeter longer. If bracelet was tapered would be another small improvement I would like to see
It’s a beautiful watch (have silver dial version), I just hate the bracelet. Ended up getting it on the bracelet and then getting the blue omega rubber which makes it a million times nicer to wear.
My daily beater. I find the bracelet fine and looks better than the rubber strap. Also I like the fact it doesn't taper as suits the dial and with the micro adjust it's excellent. You missed the divers extension on the clasp too. The best bit is the bracelet adds nothing to the lug to lug size so this doesn't wear like a 42mm. 6.75inch wrist.
YK i have the rubber strap version and i find the strap a bit more versatile and comfortable than the omega bracelet, which i am not a huge fan of, since the tapering is minimal, and i dont like the way it looks honestly. That is my own personal opinion...

hey buddy congrats on your new watch! I watched your video end to end many times, I picked up the same unit myself in the Blue, exact same watch as you, except I plan to wear it with the Omega Nato strap in 5 stripe (Blue/grey). I absolutely love the Seamasters but the diver watches, I am just not a fan of the bracelets! I understand the bracelet is part of the image but let me explain a bit further, I dislike the idea of scratching the finish, and I find the presence on my wrist is too prominent then I would like. I am removing my bracelet, brand new, and plan to use it with the nato strap, and maybe go with rubber+deployment later, there is some option to do that but you need to buy a new strap and the deployment clasp itself from Omega and they also aren't cheap by the way. I am a diver too, and recreationally I am not typically going below 100 ft, and sure yes of course I WOULD absolutely dive with my Omega, but let me tell you as a diver, your watch and equipment will get banged around and keeping a watch face is 99% easier to take care of rather than also the entire bracelet. If you dive with your all steel watch and bracelet no matter what, that bracelet willl get scratched. My Tag Heuer Aquaracer has some stories to tell you about that.

Had mine for two years it's worn day and night no issues had a planet ocean before the seamaster wore it for nine years no problems value for money you would be hard pressed to buy better
would be nice wich quick release strap for easy change , thinking of selling a few of my watches and buying this one . its either this one or the blue rubber with gold finish which is about 2000 more ...
I've the same watch with rubber strap and i own a submariner 11613 bluesy and love both but compared to smp300 with new submariner the smp is more detailed and beautiful than the counterpart rolex!

Can’t believe the movement got a 7, it’s COSC and Metas certified with a 15K gauss antimagnetic property.

Niko, you should read manual first before setting up the date. It’s not recommended to set it up between 8PM up to 2AM.
