Chris explained that he was wanting to do other things around the time the show ended, and he added that he wasn't attached to the show. They NEED to bring this show back. It’s 2021, almost every child has a phone and access to social media whether their patents know it or not. I’m sure it’s easier for predators to do what they were doin in the early 2000s.

You may not like it, but if it's not the against the law and you bring the cops down on someone like it is, that's pretty bad for your show and the cops.
Because now the cops don't trust you and aren't going to take your tips seriously, because the last department that did got hit with a lawsuit and the studio got hit with a defamation suit.
It's a normal interview question or are you suggesting no one should even be allowed to ask questions of his show else they're automatically predators?

If I sleep with a 18 year old but she told me she was 15, did I commit a crime? That’s basically what he’s getting at, although they say she’s underage she’s actually not but Chris explained it well that it’s the intent behind it.

For the record, Chris Hansen has 11 nominations and 6 Emmy awards. The man is a hell of a journalist. Predator is so good because you have this well-prepared powerhouse of investigative journalism contrasted with an average joe.

Chris is so great at speaking on camera and is very quick with the crazy replies from the men who showed up on the show.
He’s a national treasure and has inspired many others to follow what he started.

I think the reason this is the case is because most of these predators are just cases of mentally ill people who are lonely. During their time in corrections, they can be treated a lot quicker than drug offenders because our crimes are related to our financial income. If you are selling drugs as a lifestyle, it means we have no other reliable means of earning. I think the law considers us more likely to reoffend because after our convictions and time served, it will be even harder for us to survive back in society. The system doesn't really offer us any solutions so they would just prefer to keep us in prison. I'm pretty sure the system has a metric in place where they see which offenders are likely to reoffend and those of us with drug trafficking charges come out as the group that is the most likely to reoffend.
@First Last I dont like pedos either. My comment is to explain the reasoning for why drug traffickers get more severe punishment. My ability to think logically without emotion is why I am able to continue to progress even tho I came from a lifestyle where I was recruited to be a hit man for a street gang. If I thought with emotion like you. I would of made a more severe mistake and not be here like some peers i grew up with.

Word in the industry was that he was catching too many people in powerful places. He was catching judges, politicians, police officers and they applied pressure to the studio to cancel the show.
So what he means by “the show got expensive” is that NBC couldn’t get the show a liability insurance policy for any reasonable amount of money thus precluding the ability to ever film new shows again. Can’t get insured, can’t play the game...

To catch a predator was one of my favorite TV shows from the 2000's. It served a great purpose to protect our children and keep them safe from real life monsters.

I hope they bring this show back! If you spend a day on TH-cam looking at news sites on TH-cam, you would be shocked at the number of arrests for predatory behavior from all across the country. News affiliate stations have so many stories on predators and the international news networks have news of predators in their countries. Some people say the stories are prevalent because of 24/7 news reporting, which is true, but when you add up the individual predators being reported on, it is quite gut-wrenching. This includes female predators too.
