    How does surfskate improve snowboarding?

I wouldn’t say it is connected - Suefskate basically tries to emulate surfing movements. There are some basic differences between Snowboarding and surfing like weight focus and how to initiate turns among other things. But Surfskate developed balance. Coordination. Keeps you in shape. And it’s totally fun. Though the technique is different.
I would only add, I have one snowboard which is more “surfy” so sometimes I find myself almost surfskating on it. It it’s more specific… generally the technique is different. does that answer your question?

This is brutal. So prescriptive - the exact opposite of what snowboarding is supposed to be. This sounds like someone explaining how to do a lab experiment. LOL, snowboarding is supposed to be FUN, EXPRESSIVE and a series of trials and errors.

Ok. Well, Snowboarding is all fun- totally with you on that. But at the same time as any sport there’s technique and there’s trial and error. They don’t necessary contradict. many ppl want to learn technique or have fears that can be dealt with by having explanations. That’s how I learn and that’s how I teach. May not be for everyone and that totally cool. I’m trying to pass the stoke and get ppl to ride and try everything. It’s how I live my life.
