Beautiful time piece . I am a huge Seiko fan . I will wait a few months to purchase my seiko5 gmt because there is no way I will pay retail . love the cyclops .love the jubilee bracelet in fact I just went to a seiko/casio store and purchased a seiko jubilee bracelet for my Orient mako2 because I've been seeing these bracelets everywhere now .
I just got the Orange one for $320... I like the Orange one, but the Blueberry one is probably the most popular one, and I noticed a little pricier still. I am literally on my way to get the Seiko Honda Super Cub limited Edition my store just called to tell me they got it in!
Correction - These were announced and available to pre order on June 8th 2022 but didn't start shipping until July. Also the "5" logo is printed, not applied
I may be wrong...but, your watch's dial says "Made in Japan" so isn't that the SBSC003? Is Seiko just stamping everything "Made in Japan" now? I have seen these model with "Japan" or nothing at all except the movement number on the dial. I remember back in the day Seiko's had one of 3 of the following printed on the dial, I believe..."Japan", "Japan mvmt" or "Made in Japan" Or am I all wrong about this? How do you know which is the SBSC or the SSK other than what's printed on the tag?
All Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) like the SBSC are made in Japan. If I understand correctly, all other international models may, or may not be made in Japan. I've heard a lot of different things like even if it says Made in Japan, it could have been made outside of Japan just as long as the factory has Japanese management. There isn't a model name on case back of this watch, just 4R34-00A0 which I think is only the case designation
I didn't know if was going to say made in Japan on dial when I ordered. Does yours read SSK003K on hang tag? From what I understand K means it was made in Malaysia or elsewhere. Used to be J at end of model meant made in Japan model, but the last couple watches I bought didn't have that but still had made in Japan on dial
I received this same watch a few days ago from a store in Holland. I got it for $417 USD, delivery included in the price. I immediately swapped the cheap clasp it brings for a stainless steel milled one that I had. I'm also gonna replace the hardlex crystal with a double domed sapphire AR crystal. And also have a polished coin edge stainless steel 5kx bezel with a 24 hr./gmt ceramic (batman) insert that will be fitted on this baby.
Yeah I like modding my watches too but I actually like the cyclops so wouldn't want to lose that with the double domed sapphire upgrade and I also like the look of the hardlex insert so I don't have any plans to mod this watch. I think a beads of rice bracelet would probably look really good with this watch also.
I have a pretty good assortment of straps that would fit this watch, including some Bartons, but there is just something about the jubilee style. For now I'm going to continue wearing mine on bracelet
Nice - I called Seiko support and was told they don't have a manual for this caliber yet and couldn't send, which isn't true as I found a pdf version here www.seikowatches.com/instructions/html/SEIKO_4R34_EN/index. The download manual link on the ssk003 page goes nowhere 🤡. I'm going to call them again to demand they mail me the manual
Just got this watch today. I’m super impressed with this watch and loving it 👍🏻

Nice review. I also changed my mind choosing the blue vs black. I ordered one today... 360.00 US Jomashop.
That is a good price. Pays to be patient.
Huge bracelet. I had to remove 3 links to fit my wrist. Normally I just remove move one on Seiko watches. Nice watch.
I’m so happy with mine. Can’t stop looking at it. Black and blue are the ones to have, orange looks a bit odd with the gold accents

Don't say " jubilé " Rolex will not be happy
@@moes7862 I try to say "Jubilee Style" but don't always remember lol
I am getting mine this Friday. :)
Seiko 5 GMT are great, no question about it.
We need 38mm version

@@watchify1775 Thanks, I appreciate the info.
Hello, I've just bought mine but it doesn't say MADE IN JAPAN. How did you get yours?

Might as well get a Prospex if ur gonna go through all that lol

Poor seiko, better go with chinese brands, Steeldive, Pagani, if you are going to kill the design of a Seiko. My god.
They should give you a booklet of the movement, call the seller ask your manual!
Maybe you think the manual not physically being there hurts the resale value? Otherwise, the online manual is fine for me.
Lol - the link for the online manual isn't live yet. I will request a printed manual after all - thanks
Is dial blue or black?
He literally says it's blue and you can see it is
@@soundscaperecordings1111 ok
Did it have protective film on the crystal?
it did not
Anyone know what the standard bracelet size is for this watch? Or if it’ll fit an 8.75 in wrist either out of the box or sized down?
When i add up all links, case lug to lug distance, and clasp at outer microadjust, I get 223.8 mm or 8.81 inches. So looks like barely
@@watchify1775 thanks I’ve been searching everywhere for an answer.
I’m in Los Angeles, have these been delivered to ADs here?
I'm not sure on that. I got mine from a dealer in Northern California that I've gotten new releases from before.
Man !! you should be using the new set of fine white gloves. ! Otherwise, the shoot is good !!!
I got a sweet pair of G-Shock branded gloves that were included with a recent purchase. Using those now 😁
Bought the 001 and swapped the bracelet for a Barton's canvas strap. Love it. $380 plus tax.
I have a pretty good assortment of straps that would fit this watch, including some Bartons, but there is just something about the jubilee style. For now I'm going to continue wearing mine on bracelet
Could you zoom in a little bit? I could barely see the watch.
Dial fills the whole frame what you on about?
where did you order it?
topperjewelers.com/collections/watches/products/seiko-5-sport-skx-gmt-ssk003. There is still a wait list for the SSK001 and 003 there
I got a manual with mine!

AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS A SEIKO
True. That’s why I bought one.
Im saying its overhyped. Panda 🐼 speedtimer waaaay better
Both great watches that offer different functions. Never had a GMT before but I found it useful during a recent trip
Why not both
