I rarely use the "Hold Fire" command but after playing MoW Multiplayer for a while, using units as recon unit and just let them sit somewhere to observe enemy traffic helps a TON. Try it out guys. Use a Sniper unit (2 man group with a sniper and a rifleman) and just send them out as a recon unit.

I agree. I can play COH like its on ones business but this game is way more complex and really does a crummy job of explaining the controls and orders etc
You gotta tell it need more building options even if it was just minor adjustments depending on the factions, say if it was Russian more robust Russian defences using maybe more of what's on the field ,. But say British maybe more of assault trenches ,.. you know fast built but built piercing through enemy controlled territory
Thanks for making this. I get extremely frustrated with the controls sometimes because it's different from other RTSs. I'm used to doing the highlight, select all for a unit but in this game it will select like half the soldiers which makes giving orders frustrating
Raptor. Sorry to dig up an old video. But I just picked up GoH. My question is. Have you done a review on the officer unit? I can't find any details to break down the usefulness or not. Thx..
Hey Raptor, I’ve been around the channel, Men of War, and Call to Arms for a while now. One thing though has always eluded me, and I’m hoping someone here can shed some light on it. See, one thing that makes me love games like this is the way you can make vehicles explode. My question is this: is there a way to make enemy vehicles reliably explode? Like sometimes when you catch a vehicle in the right spot it’ll explode with one shot. Other times it takes two or more shots to make them go up. If anyone knows how to do it reliably please let me know and thank you in advance! Great job on the video Raptor! o7
Pretty sure it depends on the size of the shell; i.e. when the 37mm gun on my Pz 38(t) impacts a Russian armored car, it will kill some crew and damage it. But when an APC-BC shell from a Russian 76mm field gun hits it... more shell velocity, mass, explosive filler, everything. It simply does more damage. TL;DR larger calibre projectiles are more likely to destroy vehicles.
I thought I saw a video of where you were in 1st person while you were playing Gates of Hell or it might have been during a live stream. I also thought you was playing against other people like on a server. If so, would you let me know or give me information on this? Thanks great video

One little tip you could pick the mg42 from the halftrack. So that your squad got a little bit more firepower. This was possible in mowas2

couldn't they have added some more animations? Soldiers look like they're made of stone sometimes.

The soldier shooting 90 degrees was not a bug they actually made a barrel mod for those to shoot around corners! You should know this raptor=).

Yes this can be played in first person somewhat taking direct control of individual troops.
