Discover the BEST Mac apps of 2023: th-cam.com/video/-e9638SlI7A/w-d-xo.html 🏆(and watch me unveil them in a suit) Thanks for watching - hope you enjoyed the video! You'll find all mentioned apps in the description!
This is so true, I don’t know how you do it, but I know it’s hard work because I’ve watched so many videos like this and they weren’t helpful, and many apps were clearly there just to fill up the video, but with you it’s different. I watched your earlier video and it’s the same thing, amazing! I just wanted you to know your hard work didn’t go unnoticed, thank you truly❤️
Your channel is the quickest I've subscribed to - it took me only 4 videos and less than 24 hours. Probably the best content value to time ratio of any channel. Great work, mate!
That's a great tip - actually discovered it a few days after publishing the video, and you're right, it's much better than shaking the mouse! Thanks for mentioning it!
I just found you today and I love your content! so thank you, just can't find Cheatsheet on the link provided or anywhere else, do you know where to find it?
That "magnet" app demo was lit bro. Honestly, the video really did show me "best mac" apps and the title holds true. Your new subscriber. Please emphasis on free and/or open-source alternatives as well.
I saw somewhere where they recommended Batteries but I just cannot, for the life of me, really find it. Luckily stumbled upon your video and found it here. You're awesome! Thanks!
Just wanted to drop a quick comment to let you know how much I appreciate your latest video on the best apps for Mac! I recently bought a MBP 14 and have been scouring TH-cam for recommendations, and your video was by far the most helpful. I've already downloaded several of the apps you suggested and they've been game-changers for my productivity. Thanks so much for putting together such a great resource - you've definitely earned yourself a new subscriber (that's me!) Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind words - really motivates me to keep trying to produce high quality videos! Have fun further exploring your new MBP, I've got the same 14 inch model and think it's incredible. And btw, a new video on Mac tips is coming very soon - so I'm excited to hear from you again! Thanks for subscribing buddy!
how you edit yout youtube video's? effect and transitions and 3d perspective windows ? are you use specefic plug in ? and please tell me your video editing software . thank you
Awesome video! Instantly liked and subscribed. Next time, can you please put the app name with the icon and the price? That way it’s easy to screenshot and come back it. Thanks!
I’ve only watched 2 videos on your channel but I had to subscribe, I just bought an m1 macbook air and this is so helpful for me as a student! Thank you so much for sharing these apps and explaining their uses so well :) I hope your channel blows up soon because you really deserve it❤️
Amazing editing and presentation, I had to stop the video midway to like and subscribe, great work Vince, I’ll be getting my Mac soon so I’m patiently waiting on part 2. Cheers! And all the best to you on your TH-cam journey.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video and leaving such a kind and thoughtful comment! It really means a lot to me - and rest assured, another Mac video is coming very soon! Have fun unboxing your Mac and I'm looking forward to hearing from you again!
Thanks a lot! That‘s exactly my aim, trying to share a selection of genuinely useful apps/tips, rather than filling up a video with loads of options that you never use and just fill up your Mac. So I’m glad the shown apps are helpful to you! Thanks again!
Thank you! And that's annoying, sorry to hear that... Unfortunately, I don't know of any free alternative, I've only heard about ShowMeYourHotKeys, but never tried it out... If I find one, I'll let you know!
Incredible review mate! Love the apps. How do you screen grab and make it interactive from your MacBook screen? I love the way you do it. Is it an app?
Thanks buddy! I use Final Cut to edit all my videos - everything's a screen recording from my iMac, and I've got a little greenscreen window sitting on screen all the time - that's the little window where my recording lands. And the movements along the screen are done using FCP. Hope this explains it - if you have any further questions, feel free to ask! Thanks again!
The video is great! I just want to comment that the app Xnip is pretty advanced, but Shootr has most if not all the functions that Xnip has (including scrolling screenshots). Shootr also has a recognize text/QR code function which I don't think is in the Xnip app. Which one should I use?
Hey, Xnip is great, and back when I made the video I didn't know Shottr yet - but I then showcased Shottr in my Free Mac Apps video (th-cam.com/video/z0f7Gfimk5w/w-d-xo.html) - feel free to check it out! Considering that Shottr is free, you've got nothing to loose - I think it has all of the (if not more) features that Xnip has, it's a great app.
amazing video editing, and the tips, tricks and apps You presented, COMPLETELY changed my digital workflow on my mac. Highly appreciated mate, and You're doing a fantastic job! Congratulations!
Thanks for your time. Just a follow up question. I was downloading apps following you but found out at that downie is paid app and one can download a trial version. Could you please recommend any similar app that is free? Thanks in advance mate.
2:49 Safari Dark Mode Extension: thanks for showing Noir. I got it. But what about iPhone🤔 - what's the difference from Noir (which have to be paid again for iOS😢) and the free "Dark Night" App I'm using myself? Any Comparison?
Hey! If you go to the Gallery tab in the Shortcuts app, you can search for "URL Shortener". That's a shortcut made by apple, and you can simply add it to your library. Hope this helps!
There's only one thing thats keeping me from using the default screenshot tool on Mac. After screenshotting, it shows a thumbnail of the image in the bottom corner, and then it disappears, just like a notification. but when I click on it, it automatically opens the image on your iPhone/iPad for easy annotations. I'm not really good at annotating on a non-touch screen device, so this feature is really useful for me. especially because I'm a student and I can use it to quickly do some working out rather than getting up and finding a piece of paper
What a great apps presentation! And next level editing! As a first time owner of a Mac (a Mini M2 base model) I'm in search of useful apps and you nailed it. You earned a sub, greets from 🇬🇷.
Thanks buddy, that‘s great to hear! If you want, you can check out part 2 here, you‘ll find 10 more apps (and some of them are free too): th-cam.com/video/w9K_jLad5NY/w-d-xo.html Thanks for subscribing!
I have a suggestion, also there is this app any screen resolution, great for developers, and macsfan control great for those with old macs. but i can not seem a way to uninstall built in mac apps
With that content + production quality, That's a sub. Btw, I've relied on Dropover, Magnet, Maccy, and CheatSheet for quite some time now. These are great apps indeed.
Thanks for the great video. Actually started to use shortcuts now. But could someone please tell me how to get an easy light switch shortcut like the one in the video for the Desk lamp. I am able to make a shortcut to turn a HomeKit lamp on. But how can i make the shortcut, so that the light switches on and off like the one in the video. thx for the help!
Hey! Sorry for the late reply! That's done using an "if" action. Here's the script: If "Desk Lamp" "is on" Set Desk Lamp (Off) Otherwise Set Desk Lamp (On) Hope this helps!

Next time give me some open source apps like magnet
This may be the first “must-have” video that actually showed me some apps I feel I must have!
Wow, thanks so much! Means a lot to me!
This is so true, I don’t know how you do it, but I know it’s hard work because I’ve watched so many videos like this and they weren’t helpful, and many apps were clearly there just to fill up the video, but with you it’s different. Thanks man, what a high praise! Means a lot :)
Pro Tip: In the Dropover app, you can press Shift while dragging files to open the shelf. It’s easier that way when using the trackpad
That's a great tip - actually discovered it a few days after publishing the video, and you're right, it's much better than shaking the mouse! Thanks for mentioning it!
Wow man! The quality of this video was phenomenal. Such great editing and clear presentation!
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate your kind words!
The editing and quality of this video is just amazing!! Great work, and also great apps showcased!

Wow, thanks for the fantastic feedback! Super glad you liked the video and decided to subscribe. 😊
I just found you today and I love your content! so thank you, just can't find Cheatsheet on the link provided or anywhere else, do you know where to find it?
Hey, thank you so much! I'm really sorry, but CheatSheet has been discontinued shortly after I published the video...
That "magnet" app demo was lit bro. Honestly, the video really did show me "best mac" apps and the title holds true. Your new subscriber.
Please emphasis on free and/or open-source alternatives as well.
Wow, your kind words are much appreciated! Thank you! Happy to welcome you as a new subscriber.
Something Windows can do since vista.... I want Apple to finally just make this standard behaviour
@@fritsmolenaar05 That‘s so true - I don‘t understand why it‘s not yet possible without an app like Magnet - but until then…
Dude, I love your videos, are addicted and so well made, keep the good work
Thank you so much!! 😊
I saw somewhere where they recommended Batteries but I just cannot, for the life of me, really find it. Luckily stumbled upon your video and found it here. You're awesome! Thanks!
Awesome! That's great to hear!
Hi, As many have already mentioned, the editing and video production in general is awesome. Which software did you use for this video? Thanks
Thanks a lot! I use Final Cut Pro to edit all my videos. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
@@macvince Hi! Can I ask how have you achieved this effect when you zoom in to window diagonally. It looks so smooth and quality.
@wojciechdulnik5971 Hey, I use a plugin for Final Cut Pro to do these diagonal camera zoom ins. Works really well!
@@macvince Wonderful, thank you so much man and good luck with your videos

THANK YOU! :) Sure, might consider a video editing tutorial in the future. Until then, if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
I hate that most Mac apps are either paid or has some subscription.
That is just so not true. Most of my most useful apps are free. You should look up free apps videos on youtube.
Deep friggin value here. Took away 5 strong apps from this video, thank you for sharing
That's great to hear! Thanks!
Awesome video! Instantly liked and subscribed.

Great video! And wow your really good at editing! How do you do the side looks of your screen? Or what do you use to screen record?
Thank you so much! Appreciate it! I use Final Cut Pro to edit my videos, and use the normal screen recording function built into macOS.
Open source alternative? For all students using Mac
I just returned to the mac ecosystem and this video helped me a lot! Just subscribed for more quality content like these!
Awesome, thank you!!

I've been using Rectangle instead of Magnet because the free version does most of the stuff I need
very nice presented most useful Mac OS apps really needed by a daily user who only focuses on doing some serious tasks with the laptop.
Thanks a lot! That‘s exactly my aim, trying to share a selection of genuinely useful apps/tips, rather than filling up a video with loads of options that you never use and just fill up your Mac. So I’m glad the shown apps are helpful to you! Thanks again!
Man I am an immediate fan of your videos, even though I know about a lot of those apps but I stuck around to the very end, very well done! keep it up!
I appreciate that, thanks for letting me know, Khaled! I'd be happy to hear from you again soon!
The cheat sheet doesn't work anymore it says that it doesn't work with Sonoma. Do you have an alternative that is also free? Great Video!
Thank you! And that's annoying, sorry to hear that... Unfortunately, I don't know of any free alternative, I've only heard about ShowMeYourHotKeys, but never tried it out... If I find one, I'll let you know!
You deserve more than 100k subscribers.. Don't worry 🔜

I think I'm gonna love Feedly a lot. Gonna give it a try. Thank you so much for all the recommendations.
Feedly is really amazing and it's really underrated. Can't wait to hear what you think of it! Let me know.
Phenomenal video. I’d say every one of these apps has value to me - and I’m a beginner Mac user.
Thank you so much for this. Very helpful.

Now you know! Thank you! :)
Dude the animations on this video are ridiculous. I hope to see you continue to grow. Keep it up. :)
Thank you so much for your kind words - really appreciate it!
What shortcut do you use to do the link shortening? I do that all the time so having a shortcut for it would be a game-changer.
Hey! If you go to the Gallery tab in the Shortcuts app, you can search for "URL Shortener". That's a shortcut made by apple, and you can simply add it to your library. Hope this helps!

I think that dropover can be used free but have like 3 seconds delay for non paying users.
Subscribed bro, Thank you. Cheatsheet will save Life time. Please do post more about free apps.

If "Desk Lamp" "is on"
Set Desk Lamp (Off)
Otherwise
Set Desk Lamp (On)
Hope this helps!
The "Tiles" mac app does exactly "magnet" does, but it's totally free and very convenient.
Thanks for pointing that out - good to know!
Fantastic! Thank you! ps.: I've watched the second part first
Awesome, thanks bud! You're a true gangsta btw... :D

I appreciate your words more than you might think, thank you so much! Made my day 😊
Hey ! Do you know an app that hides the top notch. Top Notch app doesn't seem to work on Sonoma.
Great suggestions but I would recommend bettersnaptool over magent.
Thanks for watching and adding another recommendation!
Or rectangle.
that's some neat presentation and video montage
Glad you liked it - thanks for the visit!
nice list!
Der CheatSheet - Link hat ein Problem. Danke fürs Video Du Künstler.
Leider gibt es CheatSheet nicht mehr - die App wurde kurz nach der Videoveröffentlichung eingestellt. Sorry!
How do you make a powerpoint? I need to do a presentation for class
I guess that I waited too long to grab these apps. Shottr, Quietreader, Alttab are not found in the app store.
They are not available on the AppStore, they can be found on the developers websites. You'll find the links to all mentioned apps in the description!
Useful stuff!
Love it, thank you for sharing will be trying these now 👏
Thanks for watching! Hope they‘ll be helpful!
