It's not just the appeal to nature fallacy, but fear-based marketing. When you see it on a product it means "we think you're stupid and easily frightened".

Whenever someone says, “it’s natural,” I usually respond with, “so are poisonous snake bites.”
I had thought that with the migration of chemical compounds and increasingly difficult to understand substances in our products, that “natural” advertisements emerged as a response. Dunno tho.
