Got it and like it as a travel grinder for keeping it in my car. It’s way too heavy and large for carry travel. Their nano grinder is perfect for carry travel. Build quality and materials and finish are exceptional across all Timemore products and especially for their price. If I lost mine I would immediately buy another.
I currently have a J-MAX, which is my first “good” grinder. It’s excellent for espresso, moka and Turkish, and I love it. To compliment it, I’d really like a “high-clarity” grinder like the ZP6 for my other brew methods; Aeropress and Pulsar. I also have a French press and a Chemex-like brewer by Bodum, which I do not use very much as I find the J-MAX creates too many fines for them to taste very good. What I’d REALLY like is an attachable motor for hand grinders. I have seen 2 on the market, but neither satisfies, as switching between grinders isn’t great on either. I’d love to see someone make a motor for which you can buy separate adapters for each grinder you own. At least one of these motors is sort of doing this with a couple of different adapters for a couple of different grinders. Unfortunately, mounting/dismounting the grinders is not a quick or simple action on this motor. Each adapter would need to be specific to each grinder, ensuring a good fit and have a bayonet style mounting system for easy attachment and removal from the motor. The adapter could reside more or less permanently on each grinder and be mounted (and dismounted) to the motor unit like changing lenses on an SLR camera. This would give us all the option to own multiple, relatively high-end grinders, motorized, relatively cheaply and in a space efficient way. For myself, I wouldn’t necessarily need it to be battery powered, as for travel, I’d detach the adapter and take one of the grinders with its manual crank, which is what I do now already. Travel is actually what I bought the J-MAX for. I generally like hand grinding, but my wife will not make espresso because of it and, on some mornings, if everybody is around, I can find myself hand grinding for half a dozen shots in a row, which gets tiresome.
@@coreycannon4511 thank you very much for your comment. There is one company that makes something like you said , madkatcoffee. I was going to get their product for a review but looks like they forgot about me. I I have never tried ZP6 but it supposed to be a very good grinder.
@@Brawler245k hi, not much. They told me it will be like an entry level grinder but don’t know much more. Is it something that you are considering? They were very generous to me so far but I can always ask for more 😛
