Non-United Knee Fracture treated by adding a Medial Plate along with Bone Grafting

This is a patient story of our friend from Assam, who was treated for his knee fracture at his place. Even after 3 years of surgery, the fracture failed to unite and showed bone gap and loss at the fracture site on CT scans. When he came to us at Patna, he was in severe pain and could only walk using walker support. We planned and performed surgery to add an extra medial plate to his fracture along with bone grafting of the gaps at the fracture site. After 6 months of surgery, the fracture looks united and he can walk without support and pain.
