He and Zoro are ninja nerds, he went along with straw hat’s antics, repeatedly explaining Sanji’s raid suit abilities because he was a fan of the germa 66 comics. He only takes the situation seriously because nobody else will. And he almost became exactly that, he wanted to destroy everything before Corazon saved him. Which is why Law is an edgy character done right.
That's probably just a coincidence, with Oda's drawing style. There have been a lot of people that pointed out that Doflamingo looks much like Zoro with glasses (their faces).
Laws ability to switch a person's conscious with another person's body is so underrated. He could have beat Doflamingo easily had he simply switched Doff's and Trebol's bodies. They would have been fumbling around not knowing how to use each other's powers and he and Luffy would have cleaned house with little resistance.
It might not work on opponents with powerful haki, or maybe just those with conquerors haki. He also might have had personal reasons for wanting to kill Doflamingo in his own body.
Rawden law's devil fruit can't be countered with haki as shown with vergo. We are led to believe that the only reason law didn't use any personality transplant shenanigans was because he wanted the satisfaction of killing Doffy in his own body
You are totally right. If he had used personality transplant surgery, Law would’ve been able to kill both Doflamingo and Trebol easily by himself. He didn’t even need Luffy.
I'm sure that it was simply that Law felt that he not only had to win but win a certain way, where he could confront Doflamingo and supposedly win on even footing, so Law could show him that he is no longer the frightened, dying child that had to run from him. I wonder though if it was a missed opportunity for Law, to trap someone he hated so much, making him a literal slimeball, just as he saw him.
Honestly, I feel that Law would have been able to defeat Doflamingo on his own, but they needed an excuse to show Luffy's new power-up, or to give Luffy more screentime. I still loved the Dressrosa arc, even though it was way too long. It will always be my favorite one, but I still would have loved to see that Law defeated Doflamingo.

Law was a total badass when he was introduced at Sabaody. I love the character development Oda gave to him, following the timeskip, which endeared him even more to my heart (no pun intended). In tribute to his "big brother", Law named his crew the Heart Pirates and in defiance of his "brother's" killer, he modified the DoFlamingo syndicate's Jolly Roger for his own. Plus, his ship is the coolest I've seen, as instead of sailing above the water where ships can attack it, it is a submarine that protects the crew and enables Law to keep his powers while still technically "in sea water". I like some characters more than I like Law, like Basil Hawkins or Charlotte PeroSpero for instance. However, I could never give up on the "might have been DoFlamingo II because of his (rightly felt) murderous rage and distrust of humanity" character; without him, I wouldn't have met my manga/One Piece husbando, Don Quixote Rocinante, better known as Corazon/Cora-san.
Doflamingo didn't intend for law to eat the fruit, but after he found out Law ate it, he intended to brainwash him into performing the immortality operation on him
Little fact: law and chopper had a bit of a rocky start together, as law was performing an operation on children that were sick and poisoned. However, at the time, chopper appeared to check on the children and mistook the event as law slaughtering the children. Thankfully, the children were all safe and the operation cured them all of the poison. Also, another part of law’s abilities is the agility to combine certain objects together and manipulate it’s movements. Such cases is when law created a giant beast made out of a mostly sunken ship. It’s also to mention that people who seperated by law’s ability are completely unharmed, however, law tends to use his ability on unexpecting enemies to send them in a panic, and that when his room ability is deactivated, enemies seperated or conjoined with other things or each other will stay as such until law uses his ability to put them back together again, which law never seems to do for his enemies.
Law, Marco and Chopper are my favorite characters. The doctor trio law would be the edgy and strategic teenager that's very nerdy bit likes alot of things. Chopper the cute younger brother that is a genius at retaining knowledge and has superb fighting abilities. Marco the middle ground between the two but they all work well together and hardly have arguments because of their personalities their all rational and are good at listening and coming up with ideas

I dont think so. Kaidos immortality is different to what ope ope fruit does. The df stops someones body from ageing and therefor makes him immortal as he can no longer die a natural death. It doesnt make you untouchable tho, you can still get killed, your body doesnt age but still can be destroyed. With Kaido its quiet the opposite he (probably) could technicaly die/be killed but is just to damn powerful to take any kind of damage and therefor has to wait until he dies a natural death.

hed have to set it up or weaken them w attacks and his cool teleportation fighting style. law has never had a fair fight yet. vergo had his heart and he was weak from fighting off Doffy and fuji and could not use his DF power. oda nerfed law saying he gotta use alot of stamina and life force so his fights cant last like a couple hours, and hes also the only D. with no conquerors which would make his haki stronger. eventually im sure we see law all out fight a high level person and win. i do have him at zoro level because of his smarts and DF ability.
Law kinda has the plot armor working against him 90% of the time...he is seemingly a strategic genius and has an op df and yet as soon as the plot requires it he is either put in a situation where he has to fight off multiple people and therefor runs out of stamina...or is straight up not using his best abilities...I mean with his intelligence shambles alone should be an op ability, especially in team fights (like he has shown with that one sneaky shambles red hawk combo)...even if the enemy would be aware that he´d use this ability it´s still effective due to different things that can be switched around...and THAT is just shambles alone

Don flamingo wanted Corazon to eat the fruit, perform the immortal operation on him (Don flamingo I mean), and have law be the eventual successor to Corazon. I remember doffy yelling and law saying if that wouldn't have happened, law would be the new Corazon.
Now law has a bit of a darker past compared to most characters in the series. Sabo, Jinbe, Franky, Sanji, and last and the most depressing of all, Soul king (Or as I like to call him sometimes 'Depressing backstory king') Brook.

i hope in the future they consider making spinoffs for law and his crew as well as other characters from one piece.. even whitebeard and his crew can have one or at less some OVA... Edit also an interesting thing about Luffy's and Laws Wanted posters looking the same is because it's supposed to be that way because of the alliance they made I believe and there are things I do agree with people and that is. That a lot of the side characters in One Piece can have their owned little spinoffs or something

Since Luffy had like half of his years takin away from being cured of the poison in his body from a fight and 2nd fear taking away his life span as well I think law is gonna make Luffy immortal like that would be pretty interesting.
@@law2850 Kinda yes though corazon wasn't a doctor and I'm not sure if someone with no Medical skills can utilize its powers could've used it to cure Law. Anyway big picture, doffy was still doing it for selfish reasons so as to eventually get the operation done on him.
I think Law's ability seems to be to swap with or take items in his "room". It's probably a bit more advanced but that could allow him to remove internal organs, bullets and perhaps even maybe a virus or disease. So I doubt he could have done anything in that situation

Yea for me while I was watching as soon as he entered he was my favorite character. Not sure why but he just had a certain aspect about him. Kidd was also cool, but Law was just better to me.

If this was literally any other anime, Law would be the protagonist. He has every single trait going for him that makes him a perfect protagonist, and I think his personality is even similar to someone like Ichigo who has a cool, badass exterior, but is secretly really loving and a nerd underneath. Honestly, a character like Law makes me question why Luffy is the protagonist in the first place. Luffy's only goal is to become the pirate king, but there's no actual backing behind it. No strong motivation or reason, it's just because he wants it and he thinks everyone else should give it to him. Kinda similar to a villain if you think about it. Comparatively, Law's goal was to take down Doflamingo for very personal reasons including extensive childhood trauma, and his fight with Doflamingo is exactly the sort of fight a main protagonist would have towards the end of their story, where they've fought other villains and now they're really for the guy they have a personal grudge against. Law should have taken that fight instead of Luffy, and I actually wonder if initially Oda was going to give it to Law, but then got worried when he saw how popular he was becoming and did whatever he could to put Luffy back in the spotlight again. I feel like in Dressrosa, Law comes across as the protagonist and Luffy as the incredibly annoying sidekick with absolutely no personal reason for fighting whatsoever. I also wonder if Oda is still concerned about Law becoming more popular than Luffy, because in Wano, Law loses a lot of his snarky charm and becomes very serious, and also his fight against Big Mom was shared with Kidd. Technically he was still the main player in that fight and the main reason Big Mom got taken out, but for such a popular character I would think it would make more sense to give him that fight completely.
Sengoku told the marines it was okay to team with pirates in that chapter revealing Rocks. There's a parallel there. Law is fighting the Rocks pirates essentially this must be connected.

Don flamingo wanted Corazon to eat the fruit, perform the immortal operation on him (Don flamingo I mean), and have law be the eventual successor to Corazon. I remember doffy yelling and law saying if that wouldn't have happened, law would be the new Corazon.

Edit also an interesting thing about Luffy's and Laws Wanted posters looking the same is because it's supposed to be that way because of the alliance they made I believe and there are things I do agree with people and that is. That a lot of the side characters in One Piece can have their owned little spinoffs or something

@@law2850 Kinda yes though corazon wasn't a doctor and I'm not sure if someone with no Medical skills can utilize its powers could've used it to cure Law. Anyway big picture, doffy was still doing it for selfish reasons so as to eventually get the operation done on him.

I think Law's ability seems to be to swap with or take items in his "room". It's probably a bit more advanced but that could allow him to remove internal organs, bullets and perhaps even maybe a virus or disease. So I doubt he could have done anything in that situation

Yea for me while I was watching as soon as he entered he was my favorite character. Not sure why but he just had a certain aspect about him. Kidd was also cool, but Law was just better to me.

with sora being in super smash bros.(& reuniting with cloud who law reminds me a lot of.) get the image of the 2 getting glomped by luffy,sora,kairi,riku being dragged along,donald,goofy,aerith & a hesitant tifa.
If this was literally any other anime, Law would be the protagonist. He has every single trait going for him that makes him a perfect protagonist, and I think his personality is even similar to someone like Ichigo who has a cool, badass exterior, but is secretly really loving and a nerd underneath. Honestly, a character like Law makes me question why Luffy is the protagonist in the first place. Luffy's only goal is to become the pirate king, but there's no actual backing behind it. No strong motivation or reason, it's just because he wants it and he thinks everyone else should give it to him. Kinda similar to a villain if you think about it. Comparatively, Law's goal was to take down Doflamingo for very personal reasons including extensive childhood trauma, and his fight with Doflamingo is exactly the sort of fight a main protagonist would have towards the end of their story, where they've fought other villains and now they're really for the guy they have a personal grudge against. Law should have taken that fight instead of Luffy, and I actually wonder if initially Oda was going to give it to Law, but then got worried when he saw how popular he was becoming and did whatever he could to put Luffy back in the spotlight again. I feel like in Dressrosa, Law comes across as the protagonist and Luffy as the incredibly annoying sidekick with absolutely no personal reason for fighting whatsoever. I also wonder if Oda is still concerned about Law becoming more popular than Luffy, because in Wano, Law loses a lot of his snarky charm and becomes very serious, and also his fight against Big Mom was shared with Kidd. Technically he was still the main player in that fight and the main reason Big Mom got taken out, but for such a popular character I would think it would make more sense to give him that fight completely.

Sengoku told the marines it was okay to team with pirates in that chapter revealing Rocks. There's a parallel there. Law is fighting the Rocks pirates essentially this must be connected.
