Also a tip for the breath work: As a singer to check if I'm breathing from my diaphragm correctly, I press my belly onto a table or my piano and inhale deeply, If my stomach pushes me off the object then it's correctly done but if I stay pressed then I've done it falsely. Another thing is that most people naturally breathe from their diaphragm when laying down on their back. Hope these help!
@@CharismaAlchemist @CharismaAlchemist Interesting question! I realized there are quite a few situations where it helps me a lot. First it helps with reducing tension in my throat and vocal cords, which in turn allows me greater pitch range, stamina and a louder or clearer voice. The last two things are especially important for me since I'm naturally more introverted and used to speak in a quiet tone making it difficult to be heard by others in group conversations or public places, but after implementing this technique while speaking it has helped me get people to listen to me and not having me repeat myself or get misunderstood. On the side, it has helped me when I'm trying to tackle a negative mood (simply breathing and affirming positive things or letting my bad thoughts pass instantly fixes my mood). It also helped improve my focus and mental clarity, especially when dealing with stage fright or an oral exam. In these situations if we feel worked up, our voice gets worked up as well and it usually feels hoarse. So diaphragmatic breathing would ease the tension in neck, throat and shoulder muscles, help us focus and calms us down. On another note, I've been focusing on my breath work while training in the gym! Makes every workout 10x more effective somehow. I tried my best to explain, if I have any typos sorry in advance. (English is not my mother language) Have you experienced any similar benefits? :)
Love these points but also EXPERIENCE, no? The more you expose yourself the more second nature it gets. Also I was wondering, did sales calls make your anxiety/social anxiety better? Do you recommend remote or in person? Personally, I feel like I would just crash and burn lol
You’re correct! Me personally, I handled my social anxiety BEFORE the sales calls, for the sales calls I didn’t have “social anxiety” but rather “sales anxiety” if you understand me, as I was more unfamiliar with the experience.
nope, the points I made were to reframe your connotations of the physiological effects if you have them - and change your overall belief systems to reduce those physiological effects anyway because they don't really help
Good points💯🗣🗣
Feeling confident with this one 💪

Yeah this is great! How has diaphragmatic breathing helped you personally?
In great detail please :) it always helps to know why it helps voice-wise

Don't be anxious but also embrace anxiousness?
