How To Make Southern Red Rice With Smoked Sausage | Red Rice Recipe

How to make southern red rice with sausage recipe. This is a Gullah Geechee red rice recipe.
Ingredients:
3 cups of parboiled rice
Diced smoked sausage
1 medium dice onion
1 diced green bell pepper
1 can diced or crushed tomatoes
16 oz of tomato sauce
1 8OZ can of tomato paste
2 cup water
2 tablespoons crushed garlic
1 tablespoons black pepper
1 to 2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
3 chicken bouillon cubes
1/4 cup cooking oil
Bake in 350 degrees oven for 35 to 45 minutes.

Has anyone ever seen this dish with cheddar cheese on the top of it? I grew up in South Carolina and ate it all the time as a child, haven’t been able to find the recipe but I’m pretty sure it’s just this with grated cheddar cheese on top of it for the last 10 minutes or so.
