Hi foodies, can I ask for a little favor? If you've tried my Jollof rice recipe and loved it, could you head over to my new new website and leave a 5-star review? Your support means the world and will help me grow this exciting new chapter for Kikifoodies. Thank you so much! Here's the link: kikifoodies.com/recipes/jollof-rice-2/
I just tried the recipe today and it was good. There were two mistakes however. 1. I have only non-stick pots so that was what I could use. 2. I didn't want to cook 4 cups because it will be too much so I made 3 cups. It made the sauce a little bit more than the rice. I will still try it again and cook 4 cups. Thank you.
First thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉 there is much I want to say this video helped me so much! I was born in the US, but recently took a DNA test and learned my highest percent was Nigerian 🇳🇬. I wanted to cook a dish to embrace my Nigerian roots and came across Jollof Rice. I literally went to the market and shopped with you in my ear😂. I picked every item except the other more African items. I came home nervous but determined to cook this dish. I honestly cried at the end I followed the steps exactly. I was surprised how well it came out since I never prepared it before. I even made some plantain with it. My only concern was the rice but the liquid reduced and it was fine. So again thank you for this where ever you are I hope you are well. Salute from the US🫡🎉❤️.
I’m glad you r now a Nigerian and excited for you. Well done for your jollof rice as you’ll get better and better every time you make it. God bless you.
Looks delicious. I have not had Nigerian food so I look forward to making this and the Nigerian rice. Looks very healthy. Thank you and God bless you. Beautiful job.
I made this rice a couple months ago and my Jamaican son-in-law LOVED it. He asked for it on Thanksgiving so the rest of my extended family got to taste it also. They all thought it was wonderful. It's a family staple now. Thank you.
Yes me too as I have Nigerian and Ghanaian ancestry. This should be great I will be making this for New Years Eve I think the ancestors will be, pleased ❤
Well done. I’m Jamaican. My husband is Nigerian and I have perfected my Jollof after many tries. I am always open to watching and learning other techniques. You did a great job.
For real, my family is from Jamaica too but I love all types of food. And I'm constantly looking at recipes to add to my book. Now the question is how to make some of my favs vegan lol. God bless
Beautiful video. Perfect command of English and accent. So calm and detailed in explanation without talking too much. I appreciate every aspect of it, down to the tip for washing the burnt pot. You must be very brilliant and I greatly admire you. I’m currently cooking same for my in-laws, following your recipe. Why do you have to kneel to ask for subscribers?🤣🤣🤣 we should pay for your lessons 🤣
