The sheer fact that you can still see Kitty's influence in GMod and sfm. Guy is still a legend, and i feel he would be proud to see all that he had inspired and helped create.
I said to myself the second I learned of this project; "The only way to do Kitty justice with this reanimated project is the make the original animated bit into Gmod/SFM." And dear lord, you guys did not disappoint. Bless Genowhril and ItalianNinja for that, genuinely genius.
kitty kept his spirit high, through diagnosis, to his final 24 hours, he watches over friends and family now. i personally see this as the final hurrah that kitty0706 deserved. if there is truly a life after our own, i personally hope kitty is making the most of it as well.
This was a momentous feat to our community, and I'm so happy I managed to see it. Thanks Colin. Thanks animators, editors, and basically everyone who worked in this project. And thanks to you, TF2 community; you always make my day a little brighter.
The man who very well may have shaped my sense of humor. The man who introduced me to both Garry's Mod AND Team Fortress 2, the latter being my favorite game of all time. Without him having ever made even a single video, I wouldn't know TF2 as it is. I would think it was just some generic shooter or something, but its more than just a class-based team shooter. Team Fortress 2, for me, is defined by everything that the community around it has created. From content creators like Uncle Dane, LazyPurple, Soundsmith, Jerma and STAR_ way back in the day, Mr Paladin, Ace the OcarinaMaker, and so many others, to other animators that take in Kitty's stead like Dr Face, Dr Lalve, eltorro64rus, EthioMod, ThatGreyCartoonPony, and tons of others that I really can't for the life of me remember because theres just so many that I love - they all embody the spirit of Team Fortress 2. A wacky, sometimes really cool, sometimes incredibly retarded and hilarious, absolute menagerie of everything that people who love the game come together to make. I truly am thankful to Colin for having been a part of my childhood, as well as inspiring me into my adulthood - I'm thankful to EVERYONE for what they do for this community, and I really just can't express how fluttery my heart gets when saying this. Taken way too soon by an awful affliction, and leaving a void that just can't be filled - Colin Wyckoff, AKA Kitty0706... fucking hell I miss you.
I really didn't know about Colin until after he was gone, but still.. when I watched his content it was really something special because I was also introduced to these games and all these new people, it shaped my humor, too.. even after he was gone, he had an impact on me that lives on because other people. Other people honor what he did in life and I love it.
I can’t believe people still remembered this, let alone re-animated it. I still come back to watch the old thing and I came to this. A wonderful surprise.
Idk how the heck I NEVER knew about this project being done, but I'm SO glad I finally saw it now. Kitty was only a year younger than me and seeing how much talent he had back when we were both in school still, blew my mind. He was truly VERY ahead of others in this field and every video showed how much fun he had with them. Team Fabulous 2 was talked about almost everywhere in TH-cam comments of MANY animation videos back then. It was incredible how many people loved and talked about it. So now, I've seen this Reanimated project this group did and I'm honestly happy about how true to the original you kept it, while each person added their own little bits of flavor to their respective scenes. Everything shows true love and care was taken from the original AND it was properly given back in this video. One thing that I was VERY worried about, was the audio. I was afraid of the audio being messed with a lot or even completely replaced. But it managed to keep it all there, which was great. The most important audio track in the original was the music played at the end "by Heavy". That song became my key to remembering Kitty0706, because his video was what introduced me to that song. After he passed away, every time I listened to that song, I would cry. Not necessarily because it reminded me that he was gone. I was crying because to me, it felt like he was the one singing that song himself. And when the credits for this video played, I immediately cried again as usual. But I had to keep wiping the tears away, because I saw ALL of that art that was made for him. It truly was the perfect backdrop to give maximum emotion during the credits. Much love to all the members that were a part of this project! You all did wonderful and I know this would've made him INCREDIBLY happy.
I remember him say in the "Elliot goes" series that he dreams 10 years later completing college and living life with no boundaries. That fucking broke me...
This video was extremely well-made and very touching, but I feel the biggest omission to this project was PieMations. His very first video was a parody of Meet the Spy, and seeing a segment done by him would've made the video slightly more amazing for me (the video is perfectly fine by itself :D)
No one gonna talk about how in gmod there is a new background screen showing what seems to be a cardboard box, and next to it is a white hat and a guitar. Love them for the tribute.
I love how in "Elliot's Fun Box" 7:42 the world is 3D, opposite to the original where it is hand drawn animation. I really love that bit. I love this video and the community that brought back this gem for us.
After seeing this went back to watch original and.. the credits in the original killed me. He had his little brother in the credits. That little brother lost his big bro too early.. just like me. Just over a year ago in a crash. It hits hard knowing this, but I hope that same little bro sees this and knows he isn't alone in his pain of losing his big brother. He was a fantastic guy and its awesome to have a community honor him like this. Thank you, and oddly enough.. now I don't feel as alone. Honor and make him proud every day and remember hes always there with you.
When the ending song started playing, I was feeling sad because I couldn't believe the video was already concluding. Time flies so fast when you enjoy something from beginning to end it doesn't feel fair. I can remember when I used to watch Kitty0706's videos back in the day, even the older ones like the early Moments with Heavy series, and I would visit those too. Even if he still hadn't refined his style with those, the magic was there, his talent was blooming and he had proven himself further with Heavy's Holiday, Mass Defect and his crown jewel here. Nobody deserves to die young, it's a tragedy I don't wish upon anyone. But I'm truly grateful Colin could leave his mark in the world, and I'm further grateful this terrific community managed to preserve his memory and legacy. The TF2 community may have its faults, there's no denying the reality. But there's a lot of love poured into it, and that is proven in this video, and how over the years, there has always been someone paying their respects to Colin, and I know everyone will keep doing the same for Rick May (God bless his soul) even if it's not exclusively for his work in TF2. I firmly believe this community is immortal, because it has long since transcended outside its own game. Even if some have quit, or never played at all, there's always someone contributing to make something nice and fun for everyone. To conclude, I want to give my sincerest Thank You to everyone involved with this reimagination of Team Fabulous 2. I'm always in love with these "reanimated" projects, bringing together so many people to recreate something they dearly love, and this one in particular felt really close to my heart. Have a happy day!

@@normienormie9425 that's doesn't make any sense, how would a remastered map come out before the video was even made? Person who made it was a time traveler?
Kitty, his comedic timing and his insane randomness are a testament to just how special TF2, GMod, their communities and their project creators really are. The mad genius left us far too soon, but I can safely say that he smiles down on this loving tribute to his work. Rest in peace, you magnificent bastard. You will be missed, but rest assured your crazy work will bring people joy for years to come.
I'm not the only one who is thinking or saying this but Kitty and his animations were one of the many things that got me into filmmaking and storytelling alongside Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, John Carpenter, Brian De Palma, George Lucas Lucas, Ishiro Honda, countless Gmod and SFM animators and my late dad. I remember watching this video on my iPad when it came out in 2012 when I was like 7 years old and knowing very well, I wasn't supposed to. (I am a freshman in college as of writing this with a major in media production, and a double minor in film and screenwriting) The original is a time capsule of a past where we all really didn't know how good we had things until we look back. The world was a completely different place back then and even though Kitty may be gone, him and his works has inspired countless other animators, storytellers and even more. Paraphrasing what someone said near the end of the video, this is what limitless human passion and creativity looks like. The one thing to take away, is while the past may be behind us and a lot of things may have changed, we must look forward to the light of the future through the darkness of the present. While nothing will surpass the sheer insanity and autuerism of the original, this collaboration has shown the power of the community especially during the time which is video was released. Probably my favorite ever Colin quote that I still say to this day is "The future tends to unfold as it should." I feel like by revisiting Kitty and his work, it makes me more optimistic about my future then I was before. And THAT is the power of a legend. One who speaks beyond his work and inspired happiness and optimism through his own. Thank you TFConnect, Colin, Snork and the countless people who worked on this collaboration. You have given hope and memories for those who are desperately needing it.
It's so heartwarming to see this masterpiece being reanimated by the community in the name of kitty. Huge thanks to everyone who worked on this. It reminded me of these days when everyone was making gmod animations, brilliant times these were...
"just do what you love." - the mann himself, kitty0706 Edit: wow, this is the most likes I've gotten from a comment, thanks people, may kitty himself rest in peace.
After going into the comments of this video and the original video, I saw that Kitty died, but the thing that caught my eye was the name of the disease. "Acute lymphoblastic leukemia" Now that sounded familiar to me. And I found it, the creator of "eddsworld" Edd Gould died of the same disease. Two great animation type TH-camrs had the same cause of death. Why must it be this way?
I just randomly saw this in my recommended and my god. This takes me back. I remember back in 2012 I had just recently found TF2. I had never played a FPS before that because they didn't interest me, but something about TF2 was just... Different. I loved it because I didn't have many friends to play anything with and among the games everybody talked about, it was like I had something for me for once. It was around the same time I found the original animation and it blew me away because it felt almost like a movie even though I barely understood what was going on. At the same time I kind of miss those times but also am thankful that I was even able to experience them. Thank you to everyone who made this.

Damn straight
I really didn't know about Colin until after he was gone, but still.. when I watched his content it was really something special because I was also introduced to these games and all these new people, it shaped my humor, too.. even after he was gone, he had an impact on me that lives on because other people.
