I actually recently saw a video of someone actually doing that, he of course was annoyed as it was that easy he said lol. But he also saw that a monsters roar can also stun it since he was chasing it near a Balahara.
@@daltonward2001 yooo I literally just finished watching that video. Funny that a biologist figured this out before a bunch of gamers. Granted it took him a while to do so and I'm sure some people figured it out right away. I just find it funny a lot of people struggled with this while it was that easy the whole time
I found that ranger-type tribesman on the last day of the beta, he was leading a group of three other villagers to the river to collect water in jugs. When a Doshaguma came up to me next to the villagers, Alma said something like "Get out of here, this area's dangerous!" and then the villagers started running then despawned.
14:56 Each monster seems to have an "exposed" weak spot that can be hit with a focus strike Chatacabra - tongue (usually after a 2 handed slam) Balahara - mouth (usually during spit attacks and very shortly after) Doshaguma - reopen wounds (during his "last stand" enraged form he reopens all scars into new wounds) Rey Dau - face when horns are open AND rotated (usually the period of time after a railshot when the horns open back up for 1-2 seconds) Looking forward to finding more of these on future monsters. Really rewards learning the monsters via repeated fights.
Honestly, I love the fact that you can start grass fires with shelling and other sources of fire. It's realistic, and the damage is a very small tick. Just pay attention to your health bar. Something players should be doing in the first place.
As someone who left the seikret auto exploring for a while while busy on the side... It actually seemed less random, and more a specific set of locations it cycled between. I started noticing the same spots, and same pathing after a while.
10:30 I see an opportunity for a jewel skill buff, “when standing in fire you gain immunity from fire tick damage while also receiving a temporary buff”
I actually had 1 doshuguma being a 5 star difficulty. Edit: also hot and cold is coming back becuase, one ingredient gives u resistance to hot and cold.
It can help if there's an option at camp to wait out for a certain weather. that way the duration can still be long but we can choose when to set the weather to what we want
I’m pretty sure both guns can shoot buff bullets like demon ammo. In the demo the LBG can fire armor ammo that doubles your defense. LBG also had a heel shot that left a healing cloud. So dual gunning will be a thing. Since different guns will have different buff bullets you maw want to take two guns.
Well the heal/buff ammo never tends to be exclusive to either gun. I imagine a LBG with super low recoil/reload with demon ammo will probably be the meta for this strat.
Insect Glaive actually got a fairly generous 1 second of invulnerability when performing a backwards vault. Apparently, the directions of the vault are distinct from one another, but i didn't know about this, it would have been very useful
3:38 Could be the fire chicken monster that got revealed in the last trailer begore the BETA, since it lives in this region and is technically a giant bird.
There's actuallly a training "dummy" or more like the one in World that looks like a tall cart carrying some barrels. It was inaccessible in the beta but you can find it in one of the other towns. I believe it was the one where the cheese are made.
Things I noted while playing: 1- grill does not make the barrels explode 2- chatacabra goes up to 4 stars, balahara and dosha up to 5 3- there were rare quests for multiple monsters in the beta
Someone else probably said it here, but the Cuard Point for phials in the Shield for CB used up all your shield so you cant combo it with an SAED even tho its one of the shortcut we have. If it would take only 1 bar instead of 2 we could do it. Something interesting would be: Quick shield charge take 1 bar, full round from Axe to Shield takes 2. That way we could combo with an SAED on the quick charge CB. And it would be better. Also the commitment to double charge our PHials and then doing the axe to shield charge would also be great since the over charged phials charge our shield for 5 min instead of 2 with only normal charge.
12:14 IIRC, the teammate launching only happens in an active hunt. I absolutely launched a friend with the hammer uppercut midhunt, then tried to do it again after the hunt but just phased through him each time. Same with Gunlance's wyvernfire blast knocking over friends midhunt but doing nothing after the hunt. So I assume chargeblade/swaxe is the same
Doshaguma could actually go up to 5 stars, as well. Both the regular and the alpha, I fought several. It did seem to be a relatively rare spawn, though.
As a long sword main, they should undo some stuff the weapon gets just plain ridiculous. Also why did they change the base combo? There was no need for that at all.
At 12:21 with the charge blad axe mode fling, from what I noticed while playing with hammer, I wasn't able to fling people DURING the end quest countdown, but when the quest was still going I was able to fling my friends with the golf swing a few times. Speaking of the LS, after doing Spirit Blade III, you can hold the button to get into Spirit Charge, but it charges faster and works even if you don't have enough Spirit Gauge. So, no more missing the Spirit Roundlash because you're a little too short on gauge.
15:00 The same can be said for ray dau, right when he does his large charge up lighting attack and stands there for a brief moment, the head glows bright red. Idk how many ppl never caught on to these weakpoints but i found them right away with the sword/ shield sinse u could spam the focus attack so much

If that was a rath nest, there would most likely be an actual nest with eggs to pick up. Also this is the more desert map and rathalos hates those maps. He only exiles his side peice/emergency rathian there, to have a nest alone, just in case the actual nest with the rathalos in the forests gets destroyed. On top of rey dau nest/windward plain arch, I can hear mysterious monster roaring around that big rocky arch where likely to be best crystal mining spots.. Sound circling around the areas/windward plain/my character? Cuz I'm not messing with my camera direction and theres no Rey Dau in the timetable. Not sure cuz I only use my stereo headphone.
i would really like the plenty to be the default state of the areas mostly due to the fact the game looks very.... colourless during the other weathers, it doenst feel good to play during a mostly grayish enviroment and then an even more grayish enviroment only for a short period of colour
I thought the title was supposed to say "40 things we know now", but you mispelled "now" and "know" and spelled them like each other. But then I realized it makes sense when you word it that way too... Just thought I'd share in case anyone was curious how high I am right now
The real question though is, can longswords still stagger allies? Too many hunts in the days of old were ruined by me doing my hammer duties of attacking the head, and getting tripped by longswords who don't know what they're doing...
I fought a 5 star balahara and I have seen gameplay against a 5 star doshaguma. So your max star levels are incorrect. While their average is 3 and 4 star you can find them with higher star count.
Gotta please the youtube algorithm somehow right? Also these meaningless numbers really getting annoying, This is not +40 new things. *sigh* It’s fine I guess they’re just doing what they can I guess…
I wouldnt say that, the window to use the counter slash have been narrowed, i know in world if your character was holding your weopon out infront of you after an attack u could hang it out there for a second to wait for a monster to attack, in wilds u had to do it almost immediately after an attack so if you were in a locked animation like the spirit combo youd get hit. And from all the weapons i tested, longsword seems to not create wounds as much as other weapons like greatsword or sword/shield i have noticed, it may be the size of the weapon just from different swings hitting different spots on a monster all the time idk
You can hit the star mouse with a sonic bomb itll get stunned and you can capture it.
Hope it stuns for long

Each monster seems to have an "exposed" weak spot that can be hit with a focus strike
Chatacabra - tongue (usually after a 2 handed slam)
Balahara - mouth (usually during spit attacks and very shortly after)

Doshaguma wound reopening is a different mechanic, he has a weak point before his big slam, his belly can be focus stroked to "counter" topple him ^^

Make a circle of fire around the monster though that sounds so cool then switch to somthing else
Tone down the fire damage.. why?
We await Blazigante, a sub species Nergi that has harnessed the power of fire 🔥
I did have a quest where I had to hunt 2 chatacabra
I fought a 5 star balahara and I have seen gameplay against a 5 star doshaguma. So your max star levels are incorrect. While their average is 3 and 4 star you can find them with higher star count.
Unfortunately you are not able to light a barrel bomb with your portable grill sparks. I tried multiple times and it never worked.
I was gonna run the heavy bowe gun as my second weapon regardless cause it was fun lol
Yes! When when i get a heavy bowgun with wyvern snipe, ill use that on a large monster, attack buff then swap and just keep swapping for wyvern snipe
a lot of repeating tips like 40% are repeats disappointing
Gotta please the youtube algorithm somehow right?
Also these meaningless numbers really getting annoying, This is not +40 new things.
*sigh* It’s fine I guess they’re just doing what they can I guess…
i hope we have a good house to put all these creatures!
Hey do you recommend the game ? Do you think at the moment is more fun than Diablo?
You were able to use "Pause game" in the intro quest sequence, where you were being chased by Balahara on a Seikret.

They could easily just make it an option. This is such a weird thing to he upset about
The explosion from the grill pit is not true, i tried it after seeing it but it didn't explode at all
Long sword is so brainlessly easy now
I wouldnt say that, the window to use the counter slash have been narrowed, i know in world if your character was holding your weopon out infront of you after an attack u could hang it out there for a second to wait for a monster to attack, in wilds u had to do it almost immediately after an attack so if you were in a locked animation like the spirit combo youd get hit. And from all the weapons i tested, longsword seems to not create wounds as much as other weapons like greatsword or sword/shield i have noticed, it may be the size of the weapon just from different swings hitting different spots on a monster all the time idk
Auto-scout in Wilds!
Muad'Dib confirmed
I have RTX 3060 laptop.. I can't even run it due to Vram
Lobster
