What is awesome about this channel: very long and detailed videos, not like those short useless ones ! Keep it up man awesome job and as always awesome reviews
Excelente Review, i was watching a few and they weren´t objective, but you are. You win a suscriptor! Thanks so much when i have the chance will buy it.
I know these trucks are used more as people carriers over there, but for us in Africa we'd also like to see you test the L200 more on off-roading & load carrying abilities as well. Keep up the good work...
I don't like the front grill though, to much chrome and it ruins the agile look as you said it's very Thai -designed to say that this truck is the global model. Mitsubishi also made the J-curve of the bed less prominent which made the Triton/L200/Strada look unique. The bed has lengthen which is a good thing but they need to put the rear axle just a bit behind so that when you have heavy loads the truck will be flat. They also saved on the glass on the back passenger and replaced it with plastic. Something went wrong here Mitsubishi. Needs improvement. Engine and transmission is good no doubt for a truck. Overall, I still love the "German" kind of review about every little detail and lines. :)) Watch out for the new Montero/Pajero, I don't know if that's released yet in Germany, looks promising. :)
+Cris FanCars thanks! Thats the so called Umweltplakette, some administrative bs which was caused by EU regulation. You have to buy it for 5 Euros each and note your number plate on it. Green = any petrol or modern Diesel, Yellow = Old Diesel, Red = freaking old Diesel. In big cities, only green cars are allowed anymore
Wow, this is the first time I remember you reviewing a truck! Look at he Chevrolet Colorado--truck of the year in the US. By the way, double cabin is sometimes called "crew cab"
I remember the day when Mitsubishi's were everywhere in the US. Heck, their engines and bodies were used in multiple Chrysler products. Now, they sell what, 3 different vehicles, and that's it. I've heard rumor that they will be bringing hybrids to the US in the next 5 years.
+Autogefühl yes some people have them but most common if they want to go off road they have an tractor instead. My dade have an 2010 valtra A82 with 4 gears and 3 geare reangers, AWD, diferental lock and 48 cm of ground clearance so you can do some impressive off roading with it
+Huw Williamsyes really nice tractor, but i think you are talking about the newer A83 with the forward and revers orange shuttle the A82 hase 3 manual gear sticks one for forward and reverse one for gears and one for gear rangers. i think the inbuilt fuel tank is to protect it from exampel sticks or rocks when you have it as an foresty tractor.
+Huw Williams aaa, i saw one one sale and i thought it was a yoke that someone have basically pout an ferguson bonnet on an valtra 700 (900, A75, A72, A82, A83, A92, A95, A93). i know ferguson fendt and valtra are owned by the same company. the A82 my dade have hase an 4,4 liter 88 hp turbo engine and it is more then enuf to draw hour 3 row plow and the 7 tone farma forestry vagon
+Autogefühl interesting:) Well, i will apreciate if YOU make some test with this type of car(pick up-small engine-automatic gest box .(economical, power, practicability)all this stuff
Diese Plastikabdeckung in der Ladefläche - ist das eine Option oder nachgekauftes Zubehör? Das sehe ich bei keinem Händler und auf der Website kann ich es nicht als Option auswählen. Danke.
Hi Thomas, great review (as always with you :-) ) could you (if possible) please do a comparison with the new Navara, Hilux and Ranger ? And do you think these cars are already at a level that they are viable competitors to standard SUV's (not the top SUV's like Cayenne, X5 or XC90, but cars like Sorento, Santa Fe for example) ?
+M van Aerde Hey, thanks! These pickup trucks are always below the comfort and luxury level of the city SUVs because they have to be cheaper for the commercial market, they serve a different purpose. I ll test the all-new Navara next year, yes - and then I can also comment about the differences to the L200
+Autogefühl oh yes, I was wrong, from around the minute 42 there's some adventurous off road driving! :) I guess the difference between 'off road', and 'off tarmac' was lost in translation. ;)
+Macavellic =) We just have soft offroad stuff closeby, but I was surprised that after the heavy rain these days I even got stuck and could just get out there with offroad gear reduction
Very nice and detailed review as always, I am just wondering how come M-Benz doesn't make any Pick-up Truck(Van) like this one or many other American or Japanese or .... brands. [except for G-Class that is very expensive for farmers or craftsmen]
+TubeMeUpp thanks! Indeed the pickup truck market does hardly exist in Europe, biggest is Thailand and US. Seems no German manufacturers wants to invest heavily in pickup truck making as it is too far away from their original expertise.
Why are you using 4x4 and not 2hi? Normally, it is very, very bad to use 4x4 in a part time 4 wheel drive system in conditions which do not allow for wheel slippage. In fact, you can seriously damage the truck like that.
Interesting. Nevertheless, an informative and thorough review as we have come to expect from Autogefühl. Perhaps they have a different system from the previous model? The user manual expressly states that damage will occur when using 4x4 on dry paved motorways, at least in my 2013 model it does.
The L200 has got a center differential, which most other pickups don't. You have 2H, 4H (Which is basically AWD), 4HLc (Locked center diff), and 4LLc (low range locked center diff). Basically, if its in 4H, you have an open center diff and can use this even on tarmac.
+pablomax3045 This car has a center differential, that's why you can use the 4x4 also on the road without damaging it, (when the center differential is open, it allows front and rear axle to turn at different speed in turns). So in this car, you can always use 4x4 if you want to. :)
+Autogefühl thank you very much! And also thank you for the mazda cx5 review detail ,I bough the cx5 because of your review,no regrets for a nice SUV!Appreciate !
The interior is almost an exact copy of my Mitsubishi Space Star that costs around 12000-ish euro.... I would be annoyed by that if I had bought a L 200... Oh, don't worry, I do not have leather seats.
+Ronald de Rooij I just checked the interior of the Space Star and definitetly you have an sight problem, the only think they share is the Mitsubishi logo.
+Ronald de Rooij I just checked the interior of the Space Star and definitetly you have an sight problem, the only think they share is the Mitsubishi logo.
I don't understand the choice for shiny piano lacquer-esk finish. Is there really anyone who thinks that looks good? In the past we saw this for a while on computercases and TV's, but at a certain point in time it was deemed oldfashioned and cheap. But in certain car-interiors we still see it. Pity. I'd rather have matt plastic than shiny black plastic. Apart from this, an important thing about all terrain cars is how well they deal with off road situations. This can make and break a car like this. But I can imagine it's hard to test this aspect.
+C.L. Oker yep I also dont favour the shiny black stuff... No hard offroad testing ground here closeby, dont know where I could do that. We can do that from time to time on separate events like we ve done here: th-cam.com/video/NBP2y_ZqDVQ/w-d-xo.html
Hallo! Yeah, they do. Small pickups are becoming a thing again. Mitsubishi also needs more models here, unless Mitsubishi wants to end up like Suzuki or isuzu. :p
***** Fake leather does that too on some cars. Alcantara would be a solution, but most manufacturers don't use it. But I prefer cloth even over alcantara.

The review of the new L200 ? Please....😁
"I roll over them." Haha. Sounds like a son of anarchy, Thomas 😉 😁

Very good review, as always Thomas ! Also I want to know what represents that green circle on the windshield, on every german car?

Would have liked to see the rev counter, also get better fuel economy in 2 wheel drive.
Wow, this is the first time I remember you reviewing a truck!
Look at he Chevrolet Colorado--truck of the year in the US.
By the way, double cabin is sometimes called "crew cab"
+DeanBrandon How many other trucks did you see on your drive? Looks like very few or 0. In the USA, every other vehicle is a pickup truck.
+DeanBrandon indeed hardly any pickup trucks in germany

+gbriank1 they got the outlander PHEV
ooo l200 4 out of 6 that have pickups in my village have l200 so i am quite familiar to them and the new one looks really really nice

Do YOU have some tests with Amarok with Tiptronic gearbox?
+Alex Szv No sorry. But it has DSG, doesnt it?
+Autogefühl Dsg with 8 speeds?! OK .Nevermind:))(maybe îs my mistake.)
+Alex Szv I re-checked that, its not DSG... classic converter 8 speed auto gear box also to handle the towing stuff etc.
+Autogefühl interesting:)
Well, i will apreciate if YOU make some test with this type of car(pick up-small engine-automatic gest box .(economical, power, practicability)all this stuff
+Alex Szv sure will do!
I Just missed you tell about the noises inside all the time, It was plastic parts or something in the interior? Great job!
co-driver seat belt, you gotta plug that in when you are riding alone

I just wish you had put it through some kind of off-road test, like you said a pickup should be a bit dirty.
+Macavellic Did you watch the whole review? We had some very slippery stuff, car was sideways :)

I get your point and funnily, Nissan recommends that for the Navara for example. Mitsubishi official staff however told me to use the 4x4 always.
Interesting. Nevertheless, an informative and thorough review as we have come to expect from Autogefühl.

you right, but this car knows with superselect what to do. no worries

Just an idea. Can you get a Suzuki Vitara with the new 1.4 turbo petrol? Been trying to find a proper review on it, but no luck so far.
+ast5515 Yes, give me about 2 weeks and you ll get the review :) cannot promise yet though if it will be the 1.4 petrol
***** Thanks!
They need to move the rear axle further back.
I hope you do the new Ford ranger review, that will awesome~
+Max MaxY Hey, we could try that. Think it will come later here in Europe
+Autogefühl thank you very much! And also thank you for the mazda cx5 review detail ,I bough the cx5 because of your review,no regrets for a nice SUV!Appreciate !

11liter on the motorway???? apart from that. Great review!!! and btw TESLA review was awesome!!!
+moskwa123 I appreciate that!
Are you going to review the Amarok also?
+Titvs Caivs i could do that!

Can you review new Ford Ranger too?
+jarupongch thanks for asking, i ll request that!

Barely done 9000 km and the driver's seat is already tired. Not too clever for a heavy duty vehicle.

In Australia they classify this as a "ute" lol.
Why lol? Ute is short for utility which is what this is isn't it?

got one, 25mpg empty not 42mpg as boosted rather sucks!! and low down lag of turbo is well just awful!!!!! be warned tell a friend.
they need to bring the L200 to the usa,,,,/.....
Yeah, they do. Small pickups are becoming a thing again. Mitsubishi also needs more models here, unless Mitsubishi wants to end up like Suzuki or isuzu. :p
New car, and the leather is already stretched. Disgusting.

+ast5515 so true
automatic gear bad for pickup
Why
manual transmission
1. fastest if u know how to use it
2.better for off road
I Got Automatic gear box CVT on my Citroen Ccrosser, and it has smg shifting on the Steering Wheel . Its much faster than manual..
