Lovely produced and concise video as always, keep this up and you'll be the new Top Gear in no time. The pickup 'truck' looks like a fine product, well done Mitsubishi.
Thanks Alex, really appreciate the support. Not sure I’ll ever be Top Gear production, but I don’t expect to be. That’s no who I am! The truck is indeed a fine product, another ‘hit’ for Mitsubishi!
Love the review. Ive just ordered an ex uk factory 68 plate L200 Barbarian. Watching these reviews I can't wait to get it, fingers crossed in the next 10 days. Im taking a hit on the fuel economy I've got Kadjar that does nearly 60mpg down the motorway, but as I only do about 6K a year in the scheme of things it isn't going to cost a lot more to run.
Did you say the back doesnt lock on this? So if i got it for work i wouldnt be able to lock my tools away in it at night or whilst its parked outside a customers house?
Just ordered one as a company vehicle , shitting myself about the fuel economy but only live once - I would never buy one brand new and the Barbarian comes loaded - can’t wait 😊
And it's a called a double cab, not a double cab up front with a cab in the back, if there was only front seats and no back seats well then it would be called a single cab
2016 Series 5 Barbarian 125K miles I cannot wait to see the back of it total disapointment, very poor quality interior steering wheel turned white and replaced as was the rear bumper that the plastic wrap started peeling off carpet worn through at 45K where your foot rests no tread plate claimed fair wear and tear by Mitsubishi seat back split 30 k replaced seat squap in poor splitting condition previous series 4 seat was still fine at 175 K Miles. started jumping out of third gear 45K Repaired started doing it again 95K it is a known failing. poor paintwork easily scratched and peels off vehicle regularly washed and waxed . Numerous DPF Problems Recovered twice went into limp mode joining the M6 Not A nice experienced was in the garage 8 times before they would replace the DPF no problems since vehicle has always used oil 1litre between services now loosing coolant and garage cannot find the leak and the air con has packed up again 3rd time in twelve months next vehicle will be a different make .
That's a real shame to read about those issues. The new one seems to be much better build quality, so I hope engineering wise it's better too - so no one has the issues you mentioned.
What do you think of the L200? A very capable pickup!
wicked thing man
Extremely good, very impressed! Cost effective too.
always capable now nicer
Agreed, Sammie!
Very cosy effective, Alex. One of the better cheaper trucks which doesn’t feel cheap.

Fantastic video as always Tom, always loved the L200 amazing to see they're as good as ever
Thanks for the support. Yep good as ever, better than I expected for sure.
love this bro, pickup trucks are so cool didnt know the mitsubishi ones were so good
Mitsubishi are industry standard trucks. You see them everywhere and the L200’s go on for years and years no matter how badly they get treated.
Solid review 💪🏻 straight to the point. Love my G
Good review especially on the mpg
great video mate .....i love the l200 ....reliable decent pickup
Thanks for the support! :)
Trying to decide whether to get a 2020 of these or a 2019 jeep renegade or compass. What would you say is better it's so hard to decide
i remember owning an l200 years ago they werent so luxury then, now tho they look lovely, if a little expensive when new tho
A little expensive on the upper trims, but you can’t question the cheaper end ones. They do look lovely for sure.
Awsome review. Between the dmax and l200, which would you say has the most comfortable seats and the most drivers room in the cab for a big guy?
Honestly I think they’re about even, perhaps slightly more in the D-Max, but only slightly more. Interior wise the L200 wins otherwise.
The dmax's driver's seat is bigger than the triton but the triton has more rear legroom and a wider back seat believe it or not.

Hi so did you get the L200? What's the best mpg so far?
@@jeremycubs8331 30 to 33 mpg. Mines a Auto 68 plate.
That’s pretty reasonable!
@@rustydiver1 My 2014 Auto Galaxy does 36mpg lol, for a 4x4 that's great
Thank you for this review
My pleasure!
Did you say the back doesnt lock on this? So if i got it for work i wouldnt be able to lock my tools away in it at night or whilst its parked outside a customers house?
It’s an option to have it lock, just don’t assume it has it as standard basically. :)
I love my l200 barbarian it does everything space power off road is great towing more than enough can’t fault it
Definitely a brilliant machine.

The MPG is better than you’d expect, I don’t think it’ll be too bad for you. Hope you enjoy it! :)
How have you found it ?
And it's a called a double cab, not a double cab up front with a cab in the back, if there was only front seats and no back seats well then it would be called a single cab
It’s called whatever the manufacturer spec sheet told me to call it. ☺️🤷🏻♂️
*6 speed manual, not five.

Your problem but great reviews all round
