So while he did correct himself on the weapon placement, there are a few things wrong with the combined mode: Grimlock's arm flap actually has a slot that goes into the neck (you can also peg the other half into the first after you do that so it isn't flapping around). Sludge has slots that lock his legs into place while a torso (I believe you're also supposed to flip up the skirt so it's a solid line of black, but can't confirm). Slug's legs lay just as flush onto the back as they do in dino mode when a torso (also his wings have tiny pegs that fit into Sludge's hands). The arms are reversed (you can tell by the thumbs). Scarr's front legs soft-lock into his hips. And if you turn Swoop's arms they can peg into the plugs on the sides of his torso. Also, while he complained about the arm posability, mistransforming Scarr and Swoop at the waist gives them a lot more range, albeit with gorilla arms. Will say, I did learn there were pegs on Scarr's back for his rear legs as an arm, so this video did teach me something about this combiner I didn't already know, and I thank it for that.
Man's been teaching me how to transform figures I'll never buy for like 7 years now. I swear I was 13 tryna figure out how to transform armada figures I got at yardsales
Through those who remember in rescue bots the box them selves actually have Dino modes. Heatwave was a brontosaurus. Chase was a stegosaurus boulder was a triceratops blades was a pterodactyl, and Optimus prime was a T-Rex. So another repeat for this could be that, but will need someone to fill in for scar maybe salvage or blurr? Personally, I would remove Optimus, and make salvage the T-Rex and blur the ankylosaurus.
Its already been said these guys are going to be released in a box set redone into DinoKing some time in the future. So if anyone wants a updated DinoKing that'll be your chance. Volcanicus is actually the repaint/remold/place holder for the DinoKing figures. But since Volcanicus is more well known in the western market we got him first instead.
The combined Dinobots is not bad even if he has a limited possibility. I'd definitely give a thumbs up and I too would like the idea of the "backpack" fold up so that there's a centre of gravity above the body instead of having him easily toppled over.
I just want Volcanicus to be in more media so anytime they want to use him in the future they’ll more material to work. Everytime they use him now they have to make Volcanicus around already established Dinobot designs that weren’t meant to combine. This figure is a prime example
You have Grimlock's tail installed upside-down in the combine mode; it's supposed to form a heel. Also, you forgot to peg half the parts into place on Sludge.
So couple things: 1, Sludge (?) or the top of the torso, actually just puts his legs all the way back as if he was going back to dino. They fit just fine and the back legs hide behind the shoulder pads that way. You also have the arms backwards. If you look at the fists, one side distinctly has a thumb. So the right arm should be the Pterodactyl with the 2 gun fist, and the left the other with the 1 gun fist.
They may be stupid silly little things, but I love them. I'm happy to have my set. I have my volcanicus wielding Snarl's itty bitty sword in it's hand. I imagine he uses the letter openner sword like a jailhouse shib on Starscream. Slowly killing him one papercut at a time... LOL I would like to see some good upgrade kits though. I don't like the disaportionate combiner fists, and my Scarr's combiner fist doesn't stay on very well in arm mode. So that may be 1 upgrade fix I would like. That and some actual combiner weapons too.
Hasbro didn't do a great with the core class Dinobots. Hope Dinoking from the Victory series will better than Vocanicus. But still, at least they gave TF fans a mini Dinobot series to play around with.
SNARL is the only one I still don't have, I plan to get it but I wish the back was all same grey color not that bright red. it stand out when combined which ruin the symmetry
I like the idea of legends-class combiners. In general, I'm a big fan of downscales and smaller figures - I don't have the room for gigantic figures. But… Well, I'm glad I'm not the biggest Dinobot fan because this just looks horrendous. Especially Volcanicus' legs, they just don't work at all for me. So nah, I'll skip it.
I don’t see why you think dinosaurs are going to be repainted into monsters when they have entirely different robot modes and beast modes. Volcanicus may use the component location of Dinoking with the Dinoforce inner robot’s shell matching up to being the same dinosaur as the Dinobots, but Volcanicus has zero relation to Monstructor and the Pretender Monsters.
Actually, the original Dinoforce toys were recolors of the Pretender Monsters with different pretender shells. So while yes, it would be more accurate to say the core class Dinobots will be redecoed (and at least slightly remolded) to make a Legacy Dinoforce set, who's to say a Monstructor retool won't be in the works as well?
I wish we had VOLCANICUS in the G1 Cartoon. He would have been sooo cool!!

Makes me want a Skarr in Leader class to make everything fair.
Also, a G1 Scorn, Strafe, and as ever a Paddles figure!
PotP Slash is great as she is.
They're silly little dudes. They're not perfect, but they're at least different and that gives them major props in my book.

I actually saw Grimlock in the store the other day, but I didn’t pick them up because I wanted to get all six in one purchase.
It feels so weird that Grimlock go demoted to a leg instead of the torso/head of Volcanicus
I'm pretty sure you've got the arms backwards. Swoop is supposed to be the right arm while Skar is supposed to be the left.

First also, I wish Amazon would resupply with this guy
Grimlocks tail/gun you flip it upside down to create a makeshift heel thing for grimlock
Hello I like your vids bro keep it up

Dinoking maybe highly highly suggested, but that's ALL it is right now and not highly highly confirmed yet.
Six robots forced to share two pairs of elbows
Snarl makes it look like they got bored making this set…glad I passed on this.
Hasbro didn't do a great with the core class Dinobots. Hope Dinoking from the Victory series will better than Vocanicus. But still, at least they gave TF fans a mini Dinobot series to play around with.

This set needs the upgrade kit to be decent.
You can def use the back as a shield for snarl

Where’s Hopper?
Do wish Snarl's leg mode didn't require parts forming.
I don’t see why you think dinosaurs are going to be repainted into monsters when they have entirely different robot modes and beast modes.

Want the set, but legacy is yet to show up here, they only seem to stock the extreme gimmick toys of other lines.
There is an upgrade kit for this figure that makes it 100 times better.
Is this worth $65-ish?
It looks cool but some of the little robots look seriously lacking.
Is it worth only if you *really* like the Dinobots
And mind you, this combiner is somehow better than the original Power of the Primes combiner
@@felipevaldes3487 Thanks
Anyone who thought volcanicus/robots/Dino’s were gonna be good after grimlock was revealed are not the kind of people who are buying all them
Balt, you doing alright, man?
Snarl’s yellow is plastic while the others have gold paint.
The repaint is gonna be Dinoking not Monstructor
On account of Monstructor being made up of monsters and not dinosaurs.
@@Martynde also the placement of the dinobots and what dinosaur was chosen for Scarr is 1 for 1 Dinoking
Well… I’m sure they’ll be an overpriced upgrade kit to try and make the combined mode look slightly less terrible.
It’s better than CW Volcanicus
cute abominations
Hey there if you do have skin and mud flap in ice cream from can you send it to me 🙏 you don't have to love your videos.
This is just is a bad carryover from the trash Combiner War days imo. Glad it’s not a figure that is an absolute must to collect
Horrible. Even the PotP Dinobots were better.
