About the head, DNA is coming out with an upgrade kit for this guy. There's some extra accessories like the judges wig (in 1 episode lmao) but it also comes with a couple new more show accurate faces.
Benefit of the exposed robot fist: you can attach a compatible blast effect so you can pose it with another figure to make it look like the dragon mode got shot in the neck.
You know when people want to make a dragon look scary then make the pupils disappear this makes their eyes look like they're glowing and about to make you explode with fire
Fun fact: if you take a close look at beast machines Megatron. You'll notice it's the same model as transmetal 2 Megatron, with different eyes and texture.

Just wanted to note that there are mushroom pegs in the dragon neck that will snap easily if you try to rotate any of those joints. They're not meant to swivel.
Maybe i could Repurpose this Dragon Megatron is actually a Clone of BW Megatron in Transmetal 2 Form, but with incorrect parts, like that Gigatron's/2001 RID Megatron's Face, after all, after some Complaints and Hate on this, i Love this so much, although i swear this will turns to Cryotek later, soon after.
Yeah he is a great figure, really like him and I enjoy switching him back and forth and that dragon mode is just muah. Here's to hoping the generations selects will put out his blue repaint....cryo...something. I'd be down for that.
I'm definitely getting this figure. I always wanted to get the original, and now I have a better option. My main nitpick, aside from the gold box in dragon mode, is that the tail isn't long enough. That and the wings could have had a few more "arm" joints for more poseability options. As for the box, they definitely could have done something with the shoulder armor on yhe dragon head, like made it rotate or flip down to make it look better and cover up the flaps.

Though it's a shame they couldn't make his beast chest a detachable shield, mybe making some of the dragon neck joints tighter, and the face plate.... Other than that it's a super cool figure and makes me excited to when they tackle beast machines

I've already got my beast wars Megatron so I'll hold off on buying this one, however if they do repaint him into RID Megatron then there's no egregious shipping cost that'll stop me from buying it.
I believe Hasbro will extensively retool Legacy Transmetal II Megatron into RID 2000 Universe Megatron (or create a new RID 2000 Universe Megatron mold with shared engendering to this toy)!
Shame the head is wrong, i think some channel that reviewed it early mentioned it was a production issue that caused the wrong face, but I can't remember specifics
His back piece bugs me so much.. their is actually a peg that makes it fits better but it makes megatron head rise up and not fit properly.. I wonder if it's just a mistake on the figure.
It scales with him properly. But it also means that they both don't scale accurately with the other BW figs, since POTP OpOp is undersized (like this one) to fit the Leader Class budget. But with only the 2 of them alone, the scaling is on point.
The only things I don't care for on this figure the robot head and he don't look transmetal 2 with the mismatch parts he don't even look transmetal. It's just an awesome Dragon Transformer. 3rd party will fix the face on robot mode. I can see this coming out in Blue Cryotech any one?
How? It's just a normal face. Besides, the face of the new one doesn't look anything like the show either so if the original toy's face was a problem they still have no excuse.

The neck is what it is. I don't think they could have made it much better while still keeping it ball jointed and posable to such an extent. What i am concerned is its weight. Primevsprime reported it is much lighter compared to other leader figures like t rex megatron. I am concerned of cheaper/weaker plastics. The fire club is also quite lame.

Much happier with this guy then I'd thought I'd be. In the promos it looked like they slapped a dragon head on a robot body. Glad that isn't the case.
Can't wait for a Cryotek repaint. A matted Navy Blue with a glossy Azure would make it look wonderful.

While I love Beast Wars, I *hate* the transmetal modes. Saying that, this fig is tempting.
The right shoulder and robot mode was screwed on backwards so I had to unscrew it and fix it I don't know how it got past QC but it's fixable
