Balti, actually the trailer can indeed stand on his own, the white piece where it conects to Motormaster does fold down, however I've heard it is pretty loose
When you said Energon's Superion I couldn't agree more. I have the one from Energon and would love to get an updated version. Especially if it would get the mini masterpiece treatment that todays figures are getting. With all flaws aside I can't wait to get my copy of this bad boy.
The gun tower serves as a weapons stand for all the 5 members. Also you can peg it at the back to kinda sort off make a jetpack or wings. Either way over all this is still a great fig and set.
with motormaster being one of my fan fvourite decepticons,i'm really glad that his legacy toy turns out to be great, its a well designed and great engineering toy,and i honestly love that vehicule mod,i do wish if other heavy combiner team leaders like hot spot or onslught can get the same unique features as motormaster, and i have to say,i really hope for a new thunderclash out of this mold, and in my opinion, the legacy menasor is overall great, but i really hate how they did motormaster so quickly, especially with this new weird combiner gimmick, its like in the g1 cartoon were menasor is just wearing the limbs
There is a white section on the bottom of the trailer where is pegs into the cab that can flip down to hold the trailer up but the pin it's on is very loose and can't hold the weight very well.
I sound like a broken record now, but i'm really glad Motormaster is an essential part of the combiner instead of just collapsing and storing inside Menasor's torso
“The trailer doesn’t have anything that flips down and lets it stand on its own…”. Proceeds to show the camera the very thing you claimed wasn’t there.
If they do a Superion but do it this way I might look into this series more. So far only Jhiaxus has caught my attention as I limited my collection to wave one of the G1 Transformers, the first, and a few mostly just unique or interesting notable characters especially from nostalgic series. Still like to see a G1 Nemesis ship go along with that Ark we got.
Speaking of Energon Superion: I wonder if Blitzwing’s “Energon accessories” are any hint of things to come those red hands sure take me back. Motormaster looks like he could be a new band member of KISS with those boots 🤘
Eh, Energon Superion was already just a rehash of G1 Superion, but worse. If they’re going to do a non-G1 combiner, they need to do something like Rail Racer.
IMHO, this is the best Motormaster that we are going to get for some time. Yes, there is a double stilt that will stand the trailer up. You can peg the base mode into Titans Return Trypticon with a 5mm peg.
I've got Dragstrip and Wildrider. I held off on getting Motormaster after all those early batches had those issues. Plus there were other figures I wanted to hunt down
I have the same ankle problem with my Menasor, but I think the "lean" will probably be solved when his combiners are attached to his legs by giving him extra weight on the back of his legs. We'll just have to wait and see.
Neat. I was on the fence, but this looks better than I'd expected. Makes the CW Menasor look like it's a cheap knock-off. Anyhoo... with regards to the leaning, I reckon it's because the legs currently are not complete. The mass of the other stunticons on the back should improve it.
The way that trailer turns into a base then the gestalt - anyone getting Star Convoy vibes? Just me? A Commander Class Star Convoy. Interesting, probably not, but, interesting.
Menasor is the stepping stone for combiners and it does makes me wonder, how do they gonna make Bruticus/Onslaught or Silverbolt/Superion. Menasor benefit from the trailer as that trailer are limbs for Menasor.
The robot modes look good and the head sculpts are great. I'm just I help not a fan of how the trailer pulls apart, then you need clip everything back together. The connector ports to attach the arms to body looks like they will not last long or the cab section will get scratch, making the alt mode look bad. The way other robots attach to the arms and legs is a good idea. Over a B+ for me.
True. And my gripe is, they say they're going for cartoon accuracy, yet have Motormaster only be the cab. In the cartoon he was the cab _and_ the trailer, with the trailer being his body. I'm not a fan of how, if you have Motormaster, you pretty much already have Menasor. The other Stunticons are just window dressing, especially Wildrider and Breakdown as they form the 'legs' and just attach to the back. They're completely hidden unless you display Menasor from the side. Individually they're fucking awesome, but I find the combined mode to be completely lacking even though, yes, that's the way he looked in the cartoon. I suppose they have to do it this way to make Menasor cartoon accurate, but it's a pass from me.
Anyone ever seen a Motormaster whose transformation is more like G1 show, i.e. his trailer is part of his body and not just Menasor bits? Be interested in seeing how they make that work in a toy.
Hi Baltmatrix. I laughed so hard when you mentioned Energon Superion because I understand how awful the toy is. I have it and I absolutely HATE it. It has so many problems with the combined torso because it's so flimsy.
@@sebastianspencer3644 probably. Earthrise Megatron's legs split the same way for transformation and his legs are even thinner. Still though. Maybe if they had designed him with a bigger codpiece but left the sides open to split the legs, I could over look it. Ah well, I still love this guy.
Hello everyone, I currently collect GI Joe classified series figures and I'm thinking of getting some good transformers to go along with my collection. I'm not into the movies Transformers so I wanted to get suggestions from you as to which figures/lies/scales to get (hopefully not very expensive) thanks in advance.
It's a shame that Hasbro didn't give the option to put turn the legs around and use the cars in the front. I know it's not G1 accurate, but having the cars in the back and the front of the legs plain grey was allways a bad design and it looks much better with the cars in the front
Considering how much the whole set will cost, I think I might just invest in a 3rd party "Menasor". This Hasbro version is nice, but not worth the price IMO.
Yeah also that’s my issue with this which sucks because I don’t own a combiner was hoeing this was going to be my first one bust this thing is 180 dollars in my country and that for me is just ridiculous just hiking up the price because MM is essential for the combiner mode but he’s the price of a masterpiece figure.
Balti, actually the trailer can indeed stand on his own, the white piece where it conects to Motormaster does fold down, however I've heard it is pretty loose
I concur
Yep true
It is very loose I can confirm
The wheels on the trailer are more loose than anything
I have him and can confirm it is loose
When you said Energon's Superion I couldn't agree more. I have the one from Energon and would love to get an updated version. Especially if it would get the mini masterpiece treatment that todays figures are getting.

The stripe stops because the G1 toy's stripe did because of a hinge, which was carried over into the show.
with motormaster being one of my fan fvourite decepticons,i'm really glad that his legacy toy turns out to be great, its a well designed and great engineering toy,and i honestly love that vehicule mod,i do wish if other heavy combiner team leaders like hot spot or onslught can get the same unique features as motormaster, and i have to say,i really hope for a new thunderclash out of this mold, and in my opinion, the legacy menasor is overall great, but i really hate how they did motormaster so quickly, especially with this new weird combiner gimmick, its like in the g1 cartoon were menasor is just wearing the limbs
Better then a Combiner Wars
At least Motormaster becomes an important part of Menasor instead of compacting and storing inside the shell
i get a funny feeling of a potential Thunderclash remold/repaint
There is a white section on the bottom of the trailer where is pegs into the cab that can flip down to hold the trailer up but the pin it's on is very loose and can't hold the weight very well.
You flipped the trailer stand out for base mode...
And never thought about using that as a trailer stand?
I sound like a broken record now, but i'm really glad Motormaster is an essential part of the combiner instead of just collapsing and storing inside Menasor's torso
Wonder if we'll ever get a G1 TOY accurate Menasor, i guess not but a guy can dream
I hope one day we will get cartoon accurate Combiners that can do the Scramble City gimmick.
“The trailer doesn’t have anything that flips down and lets it stand on its own…”. Proceeds to show the camera the very thing you claimed wasn’t there.
Baltmatrix.
Actually, that tower part of the base mode can be pegged onto Menasor's back for storage.
0:43 …Dude…You even flipped it over and showed them folded up right there on camera.
I got him at a fan expo last week.
Holy Hercules, what an improvement over Combiner Wars.
If they do a Superion but do it this way I might look into this series more. I’m getting Gigawatt in the mail!
I just got my copy of this beast today and im absolutely loving it! As both motormaster and menasor its an absolute win
Speaking of Energon Superion: I wonder if Blitzwing’s “Energon accessories” are any hint of things to come those red hands sure take me back. Motormaster looks like he could be a new band member of KISS with those boots 🤘
Er...the white piece on the underside has a kickstand..it barely does the job, but it's there.
Also, the cartoon stripe was sp!it on the trailer too. Nice vid either way
0:45 with all due respect why do you never see all the support beams for trailers?
Eh, Energon Superion was already just a rehash of G1 Superion, but worse. If they’re going to do a non-G1 combiner, they need to do something like Rail Racer.
The turret tower can be attached to menasor’s back to form a jetpack
I love your video and u make people happy and laugh every time you post and they want to subscribe to you because the content u posted
I'm a little mixed on this set. On the 1 hand Motormaster himself looks great, on the other hand not a fan of how Menasaur comes together.
Same. Motor master looks great, but if you are not going for Menasor the price not worth it in my opinion. And I really do not like Menasor.
So I like how you say it dos not matter which leg is which when he actually has ankle tilt
Oh boy would I like to see a Legacy Superion and Defensor!🤤🤤🤤
It's nice to have a transformers truck figure that the rear section isn't the legs for once like every Optimus figure.
you looked right at the stand for the trailer
IMHO, this is the best Motormaster that we are going to get for some time. Yes, there is a double stilt that will stand the trailer up. You can peg the base mode into Titans Return Trypticon with a 5mm peg.
2:01 apparently thats g1 accurate but even so it still looks off
Wow so huge and definitely heavy
BALT! it does have a kickstand, right where you peg into Motormaster is the kickstand, you just gotta use your nail to pry it out
I've got Dragstrip and Wildrider. I held off on getting Motormaster after all those early batches had those issues. Plus there were other figures I wanted to hunt down
The one I got from Australia Motor Master had a QC issue with his left leg. It was on backward and made torso mode wonky.
Suggestion: Motormaster looks awesome wielding Astrotrain's dual rifles!
Those air ports are antigrav force emiters
I have the same ankle problem with my Menasor, but I think the "lean" will probably be solved when his combiners are attached to his legs by giving him extra weight on the back of his legs. We'll just have to wait and see.
Me too, but I don't think the other ones will help much, unless you lean the figure back in the opposite direction of the ankle
Neat. I was on the fence, but this looks better than I'd expected. Makes the CW Menasor look like it's a cheap knock-off. Anyhoo... with regards to the leaning, I reckon it's because the legs currently are not complete. The mass of the other stunticons on the back should improve it.

My Motormaster is blessed, he has NONE of the issues. Including the trailer wheels
I absolutely love how the legs of Motormaster help fill in the chest on Menasor.
This figure is worlds better than the travesty of the CW figure.
Was that bliztwing when he compared menasor
Epic this will be good
Friends don't let friends skip leg day.
I completely forgot you didnt do this
Did you do the Blitzwing review already ? Can’t find it
Nope. Review hasn't happened yet. Stay tuned though. It will be soon.
@@baltmatrix can’t wait!
Motormaster going into Cab mode, leave his hands extended. Don't worry, it fits. This will strengthen and stabilize the whole back end of the truck.
Haven't opened mine yet, but the code stamped on the box says "21231". Did I get a bad one? Where can I check?
Menasor is the stepping stone for combiners and it does makes me wonder, how do they gonna make Bruticus/Onslaught or Silverbolt/Superion. Menasor benefit from the trailer as that trailer are limbs for Menasor.
The combiner transformation is super difficult to get to peg in correctly!
Took two attempts, but I did get a decent copy with none of that nicotine discoloration.
I hope the next combiner we get is Abominus.
The robot modes look good and the head sculpts are great. I'm just I help not a fan of how the trailer pulls apart, then you need clip everything back together. This may be jumping the gun a bit (a lot) but has there been any word on other combiners in Legacy (Bruticus, Superior, Protectobots etc.?)
He is a great looking motormaster
When they come out with and K.O. oversized version THEN ill be interested
Amazing
The break up of the purple strip doesn’t bother me and also probably not painted cause screen accuracy of the g1 cartoon
I thought the part at the beginning of the video where you rammed the combiner wars motor master with the legacy version.
MotorMaster is obviously trying to master Michael Jackson’s lean.
The legs do matter. The pegs are made in a way where you have to put each legs a certain way.
Motormaster might be the last figure I’ll pick up after deadend and wildrider
Hey balt, can you post a link to the TFW2005 page about the batch numbers and pin the comment please? It would help a lot of us out.
the leg pegs are keyed; you cannot swap them.
Anyone ever seen a Motormaster whose transformation is more like G1 show, i.e. his trailer is part of his body and not just Menasor bits?
Be interested in seeing how they make that work in a toy.
Only one I can think of is the original toy.
Hi Baltmatrix. I laughed so hard when you mentioned Energon Superion because I understand how awful the toy is. I have it and I absolutely HATE it. It has so many problems with the combined torso because it's so flimsy.
The reason why the feet are weird is because of the original G1 Mass-shifting
Yeah, but his legs shouldn't be that skinny. That's been my biggest issue with the thing.
That’s probably for clearance reasons.
@@sebastianspencer3644 probably. Earthrise Megatron's legs split the same way for transformation and his legs are even thinner. Still though.

Closest I can recommend is the two collaboration sets (HISS Tank Megatron with the Baroness and Bumblebee with Stalker)
I would love to combine this with the Optimus prime trailer but I freaking can’t! Hasbro, what are you doing!
Why would Prime’s trailer combine with this? I’m honestly curious, to my knowledge that never happened in any Transformers media...
Man I’m glad I quit collecting mainline I wouldn’t be able to afford all this amazing stuff and probably not be able to find it.
It's a shame that Hasbro didn't give the option to put turn the legs around and use the cars in the front.
I know it's not G1 accurate, but having the cars in the back and the front of the legs plain grey was allways a bad design and it looks much better with the cars in the front
My Dino fury primal ultrazord stuffers from that.
Good 😘😻😺🥰😍🎖🏅

Considering how much the whole set will cost, I think I might just invest in a 3rd party "Menasor". This Hasbro version is nice, but not worth the price IMO.
Motormaster
Way too many QC issues for such an expensive figure.
