    Amazing meditation Tanner! I would also love a longer version of it at some point! Right now I have been doing this meditation daily :)

    I like the way you've combined lovingkindness meditation with somatic work - it's a great combination. Thanks, Tanner!

    Thanks Tanner. I have been doing something similar by myself but I didn't think of this compassion and kindness practice as a type of somatic tracking.

    Tanner, Do you think these practices can be effective outside of structured therapy with a therapist in your organization? Lack of insurance makes therapy fees an obstacle. Thank you for all of the information you share.

      Many people can recover on their own! However, some need support in therapy. I hope my content can be helpful!

    Do you know if this kind of work can help with medication withdrawal syndromes and akathisia, etc? Since apparently the brain has been damaged… is this what would help reverse the damage or at that point is there nothing we can do! Suffering badly 24/7.

      I unfortunately do not have experience working with these conditions. However, with many conditions a portion of the symptoms are neuroplastic.

    Hi Tanner, I don't quite get how you do this. Do you do this when you have a flair up? I have fibromyalgia. I guess you tell your brain you're safe and all that and that's supposed to ease your pain? I don't know if I believe this...I've watched almost all your vids and I'm still not convinced. Any suggestions (cuz I do want to believe it).

      This is to be done when the symptoms are mild to moderate. The goal isn't to change the pain, but change the emotional response to it. Here is a full video on somatic tracking with education on it: th-cam.com/video/Gf7YgH185v4/w-d-xo.html

    What if my illness does not include any pain and it's also absolutely legitimately diagnosed and not created by my brain. Is there a point to this practice then?

    • @painpsychotherapy
      @painpsychotherapy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So sorry to hear what you are dealing with. It can be helpful to change the emotional response to the symptoms and also reduce any portion of the symptoms that are Neuroplastic. I hope this helps!

      The brain can perform wonders in a healing state so go for it! Read You Are The Placebo by Joe Dispenza or When The Body Says No by Gabor Mate. Wish you all the best

      So sorry to hear this. This is when breathwork or somatic movement could potentially be useful!! I hope my content can be useful!

    • @kayleighmitchell8853
      @kayleighmitchell8853 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually visualise the brain fog jn a somatic tracking as a grey cloud or a hazy brown colour all over body. When I focus and slow breath and stay calm etc it massively improves. With these tracking episodes. Helps a lot
