Thanks for making this video; I just got diagnosed and prescribed Adderall (I'm 30) and I've heard a lot of mixed messages from people who jump to conclusions. This was very informative and alleviated some of my anxiety.

Can I start with taking mydaysis medicine? I have ADHD and I’m ready to take that step because I’ve read comments saying how it keeps you focused throughout the day. Just ready to change my life. I have ADHD bad. I have trouble focusing, I forget tasks, I zone out all of the time, what medication is recommended for starters?

Unfortunately there’s not a way to know which medication will work best for you right off the bat. Fortunately, there are many different ones to try, as well as different doses. It is something that you would need to discuss with your doctor. I would suggest just starting with whatever they recommend and going from there. Keep in mind, a lot of times your insurance will determine what medication they will cover. Most of the time they will want you to go through progression of different medication before others. I hope this helps, and wish you the best!

Thanks. Liked. Subbed. Btw, what's your take on Modafinil? Have heard at lot that it provides similar kind of benefits but just dialed down also with very less side effects.

ADHD Management Thank you! It’s a shame you don’t have Adderall available to you over there. I forgot to put this in the video, but it’s the number one prescribed treatment for ADHD over here. You do have Elvanse, which is a variation of dextroamphetamine. The levoamphetamines in Adderall tend to be responsible for the physical feelings and side effects, so Elvanse may be worth checking out.

Just started on Adderall a couple days ago. I don't really notice anything significant yet but I'm willing to give it a full chance to see if it will work for me.

Right on! It’s great that you’re taking those important steps!
Trust me when I say, it may, and probably will, take some time to find the right medication at the right dose that works best for you. Myself, I’ve tried multiple different doses of Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, and now, Mydayis before finding what works best.
The absolute best thing you can do is make sure you constantly communicate with your doctor about how the medication is working for you. If you’re not getting any good results, let them know. If you’re having adverse side effects, let them know. Sometimes it may be as simple as adjusting the dose, or switching to a different medication. There are many different medications available to treat ADHD, so don’t give up if you don’t think it’s working right away.
Another thing to consider is, talk to the people around you, family members, roommates, coworkers, friends, whatever. See if they notice any difference in your day to day operations. It’s very common that “we” may not feel any different, but those closest to us definitely do.
I definitely wish you the best on your journey!
