5:35 memo for me What are you going to be? Aspiring policy maker to change the life of rural students and so on. Let the faculty know your vision of tackling pressing education issues. And you have to be very specific about what you want to study. Through your attempts show how much you are initiative and you have an entrepreneurship. Plus the thing I have to improve and how hgsc can help me through. 9:31 Write down your attempts that you did to change your community. You work by actions 10:12 write down the course name which will help you to improve your career
Hii, hope you are doing well. I am an undergrad student hoping to go to Harvard grad school. I am a freshman right now. I actually wanted your advice on something. I got selected in the Research Scholars Programme of Learn With Leaders. There is a fee. They will mentor you write a 2000 word research paper and publish it on the Harvard Students Agency website. Do you think this is worth investing in? Will this add anything to my grad school application?
@@ridabutt4345 I can’t answer that question fr you because it all depends on the quality of the research you conduct. No one program is going to make you stand out. It’s all about the research and why that work is important to the impact that you want to make in the field and your community. I got into a fully funded summer research program at the university of Arizona and I was still able to get into Harvard graduate school.
Ok can you tell me that does the length of the paper and type of publication matter. What if it is published in a low tier journal? Also does it matter that under whom you conducted the research. Does it have to be a professor, or can it be a group of students?
@@ridabutt4345 the length definitely matters. A true publication is usually 30 pages and the work should be conducted under a professor not student group. And the journal doesn’t really matter because they don’t expect undergrads to publish but if you can publish in a top tier journal in your field that would make you stand out.
It’s going to depend on the other components of your application. If you feel like one area of your application is not as strong I would recommend taking the gre to offset the part of your application that is lacking.
this was a fantastic video, and this between your other statement of purpose vids is making me realize that I don't have a clear understanding of what niche I want to be involved in for Graduate study. I spent much of my time I could've been exploring the field, helping other people in high school and undergrad that I've lost sight of my own purpose of Education even by this point as I prepare to graduate undergrad in May. I had ideas in mind, but wasn't afforded the time or the opportunities to execute them. Morally I operate with the concept of just existing in a world that has concerns that I know needs to be fixed and don't really have an action plan in mind I simply embrace what is feasible in the spaces I'm affored to be in.
Thank you! And you will figure it out. You can always use your classroom experience to frame yourself as a researcher and prospective graduate student. Do some reflecting and you will figure it out. Good luck!
Yes you can, but there is a limit to the amount of credits that could be cross-registered. I think it’s 12 credits max, but you’ll have to find accurate info about this on their website.
Thank you. I offer a statement of purpose review service: www.fiverr.com/s/o3yXdN?CopyLink_Mobile. I also have an Instagram where I share more tips about graduate school: instagram.com/ivanvaldovinosgradschool?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA%3D%3D&.
I got accepted ❤

@@IvanValdovinosGradSchool so you suggest a 2000 word research paper done under let's say college seniors will not add much to grad school application

Do you recommend taking the GRE/GMAT as they are optional and if you do which one

Hi,
Can you cross-register classes with HKS and HBS and with MIT while at HGSE?

Great video👍💯 Is the 9-month M.Ed built into a PhD program?
Yes, if you get into the PhD program then you get the masters on the way. You could also only apply to the masters program.
