Hello there Ivan. In relation To the Resume, is there a page limit in the one we have to upload in the system? I’m afraid 2 and 1/2 pages are a bit too long however on the system I can only upload up to 5 experiences.
There is not a page limit, however, you need to think about the reasons as to why you are wanting to submit a long document. I submitted a 5 page CV because I was applying straight out of undergrad and thought that my lack of full time work experience could be justified by my immense education related experiences. So you want to make sure that your resume match the reasons why you are applying to the program and not just inputting all of your experiences just because you want to showcase everything you have done. They should somehow tie into your career goals and reasons for applying to HGSE.

Another question is about the activities from the resume being the same we have to place in the system, is it ok to Copy the same bullet points from the cv to the system? And about activities, I have worked in the past but for the last year I’ve been working as a research Assistant for three different professors (which entitles a full time weekly workload) Should I place those with the work Experience or create a research experience field on the cv?

hi Ivan, I just got my Toefl scores and in it the four institute codes and department codes where I have sent my report for free, are disclosed . Will it affect my application to other colleges?
Hi, it will not affect your application. The way that I see it is that the committee sees who they are competing against and if your application is strong enough for admission they are going to want to accept you in order to beat out the other schools they are competing against.
Hi Ivan Can you request copies of your letters of recommendation after waiving your right during the application? I am curious how you were able to access them.
Hi, I waived my rights, however, this was in 2015 when I applied. All I did was request my application from hgse and they sent me it. I wasn’t expecting to receive the letters.
I was in the College of Arts and Sciences Ambassador program and I applied at the end of my sophomore year at my undergraduate institution. For HGSE application, I applied during the fall semester of my senior year.
Many people will use the terms interchangeably, but I think there is a distinct difference. A statement of purpose focuses more on your preparedness to engage in graduate school level work and why you want to attend graduate school while a personal statement is mor about you, your background/experiences, and how those experiences shaped your decision to pursue graduate school and your career.
