Hi Jenn. A couple of quickies. Firstly, my understanding is that Zencastr users (hosts and remote guests) must use Chrome? And secondly, I was about to jump onboard a particular hosting platform when I read Zencastr now also hosts. What's your take on all this. Cheers. Love the tutorial

HI Plus Communications and public relations, sorry for the late reply. I'm just in the process of revamping my channel. I'm going to start updating some of these videos, like the one on Zencaster, because they have recently made some changes. Yes, chrome for any recordings is essential for Zencastr as well as some of the other podcast recording platforms as well. There are two many issues on other browsers. Yes, you can host now; I have yet to try it. I have been using Anchor, Buzzsprout and Podbean for a long time. They all have their positives and negatives. Please let me know if you need anything else. I will make a video about the different hosting platforms very soon.

Great video! Thank you for sharing. Would you recommend any other software ahead of Zencastr? Really appreciate your insights

Hi, Helton thank you for your comment. Sorry for the late reply. I also like Squadcast. I find their video quality better. And I do like the sound quality on Sqauadcast. I'm going to do a video on it soon. But I'm also currently trying out Riversidefm as well.

Does Zencaster have compatible issues with Safari or Apple products???

Hi Keo, Thank you for writing to me. I find when my guests have macs, they do run into a few issues sometimes with firefox. And unfortunately, you can't use Safari. But I found the best results are if all guests download and use chrome. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

@@keodahui7504 Yha give it a try. They also have a free plan that lets you try everything. Another one I have used is Squadcast but they only give you a 7-day free trial.

I just dont' like that I can't delete post productions to clear out some space. Maybe I'm just missing something. Other than that, I really like zencastr. Google meet is great if you have continuity camera and the magnet to put by your camera on your mac, but zencaster itself has a better video quality than google meet.

Hi L.I. V thank you so much for writing me. Have you tried archiving your recordings on Zancastr? They just updated this article the other day. Here is the link support.zencastr.com/en/articles/6574834-archiving-rooms. Let me know if that was helpful or not!

OMG am I crazy or have I finally found a platform that allows multiple video/audio upload per episode capabilities? And on the free plan also? I've been consistently podcasting audio since 2015 (and began around 2010 with short youtube vids and early audio platforms like the dreaded blogspot radio. I settled on Spreaker in 2016. I was smart enough to avoid skype for all these years and even avoided zoom for the reasons you touched on. But a kind of blessing in disguise is that I now use Spreaker and Anchorfm as 2 main audio platforms, adding Anchor fairly recently, as they both have a good list of platform migrations). And recently caught the actual video podcasting bug because anchorfm allows video to migrate to the new Spotify video platform which began around five months ago. Of coarse I was left wanting, because now it makes NO sense to me to be limited to one file per episode be it only audio or only video. My disadvantage is that I have a day job that wears me to the ground with little creative juices to operate on at the end of the fay, let alone end of the week for my ideas. THANK you so much for this brilliant presentation. I will now subscribe to your channel haha. And I am now ready to move forward however zencastr allows.

BTW, because of all the LIVE stream recording issues, I prefer recording, then uploading files for episodes. There are apps for LIVE streaming but Dolby On is pretty good for that, and to have less than 5 editing/audio/video softwares/apps/platforms to produce an episode is a big plus in keeping things simple. Currently I use Eddy editing for pc, Dolby On app. Spreaker and AnchorFM, but this Zencastr hopefully is the final piece.
