I have watched a few videos on this subject. Thank you for this great video! Can't wait to start my podcast with the information you along with Veronica supplied!
Thank you so much for making this high quality content for free!! This helps a lot of people to start their own thing, so kudos to all you podcast professionals that take the time to share your expertise!
THANK YOU for showing exactly how Riverside looks and works! I'm considering trying out the service and this is just what I wanted to know. You have a new subscriber.
I'm looking for a way to remotely record video of someone, searching for much higher quality than Zoom can produce. Riverside seems to be the answer. And sounds easy for the other person. I will only use the other person on camera, and edit that into a video. Files that arrive are 16:9, yes? Is there anything I'm missing here, besides helping them get the best audio...I heard a good tip if they don't have a mic setup: have them record their audio with iPhone's Voice Memos app and synch in post.
Wow...... you made this easier to find a starting point from a storm of confusing content on starting a podcasts. You guys both were SUPER informative and great. With this video and the other that I'm going to bing watch, I feel much more confident that me and my co-host @2 Bros Talking Mierda are going down the right path. Thanks a Billion!!!
Hi Steve and Veronica. Besides the software, and of course mics, computer and headphones, do you need anything else? I was thinking a rodecaster? Thanks
In the final video, how can i get the host and guest video side by side (like when veronica joined the call and you both were side by side) - thats what I want for my podcast. Do the video editing software (like davinci as you said) allow that?
Hi guys! Steve- in the Riverside video, it doesn't look like you're using the laptop camera for your video. Are you using your own camera for your video portion?
I have a question though? If you are trying to upload your interview with your guest on instagram. What software would you recommend that you can use as a side by side view for the viewers on both youtube and instagram . Like visually? How would you make that video?
Thanks so much for this video. My 2 friends and myself have an idea for a video podcast. Will this software allow for all THREE of us to record from 3 different locations at the same time?
Hi. I'm an English teacher and I want to start with an audio podcast first as I am not very confident on doing a video podcast yet. My dilemma is that there are so many podcasts dealing with English teaching and I'm thinking about how my podcast would be different than the rest.
What happens if the person you are interviewing doesn't have a high quality mic? If they are only able to access a Webcam mic or laptop mic? Will this compromise the integrity of the final product? Can you still work with it?
@@podsoundschool you’re welcome! I have been holding because of fear haha I do have a weekly video stream on Instagram and planning to use the audio from those shows . I wanna plan some recordings with riverside
So we use Riverside for our show but not having much luck breaking through so far. Do you do all your graphics work in Adobe? I’m learning as I go and not sure how to make it look great. Also completely at a loss for adding graphics while going live. Any help/advice would be great!
You’re channel’s looking great so far. It’s a hard climb to get out in front of people, just staying consistent and constantly improving will get you there, though. We do use Adobe. The Creative Cloud is great. We use premiere, Lightroom to touch up photos, audition you can use to edit pro audio, and after effect when you’re ready to get loco 😜. Something g for you TH-cam channel that can help a lot is tube buddy and learning how to use it. Also having attractive thumbnails. And as far as live graphics, that can be tricky, and Riverside doesn’t offer too much in that department, at least yet. For your situation I would go live and then after make a features or shortened edit of the video and add graphics. That’s where riverside really shines, is in the files you get for later editing. Any way it’s a crazy deep rabbit hole, keep at it! -Steve
I’m curious about whether you’re switching camera cameras in real time or in post. I really want the 4k look for both me and my guest but I wanna be able to switch from split screen and solo for each. Is there anything that can do that
@@podsoundschool hi, is there a way to change the background (when I interview on zoom ) without a green screen? I tried, but its distorted and has that funny effect when I move. thanks fo rany tip
Hey, is riverside fm compatible with androids? I have an android and most people have iPhone, so is it ok to not have the same phone to use the app? Thanks
Thanks for this video. Very informative. We are looking to expand and maybe do an additional channel strictly for podcasting. I’ve been researching trying to find the equipment we need and how to set it all up. Still doing my research but gaining more knowledge about it. Someone just told me about an app called Teams. I’m assuming it’s a free app as well like zoom and Skype so the quality would not be the same. I will look into riverside. Thanks again.
I’m doing that in the editing. Riverside let’s you download the two people together and then each separate camera. So later in video editing software you can switch between the 3.
I know right. I know they have video recording on the horizon, I'm excited for when they do. I had a chance to chat with one of the guys from Riverside. Their cools guys. They actually first designed the software for politicians in the Netherlands to connect and take in live callers.
There is such great content here! Do you have a document that can be used as a go-to guide/checklist for doing the podcasts? Basically this video in document form?

Stream yard is probably a better solution for live streaming. The pixelated version of Veronica is from our live stream. The other video of Veronica is from the download file from Riverside.
Hi there, awesome video, I learned a lot! In your Adobe Premiere Project I see that your framerate is at 18 fps, while Veronica's is at 30 fps. Is there any way you can adjust the framerate? I ran into some trouble because of this. Also I had the issue of the video and audio not being in sync later on in the recordings. What are your thoughts on this? PS. Not a native English speaker, I hope I made my questions clear :)
Thank you so much for posting this! With Riverside, if someone talks over you, does it mute the other person or are you able to still hear both people? Thats a problem I've been running in to.
