Girl, the way my thighs were burning after an hour of practicing this move at the rink! I got it when i wasn’t trying and lost it when i was. Needless to say, i will keep trying but you weren’t lying about squeezing those thighs.

As someone who tried to learn how to roller skate in derby gear with big toe stops, this seems like a much easier way of doing a crossover! Also super impressed at such a huge space to skate all to yourself 😄

I ordered my sure-grip Broadway, and then sprained/possibly fractured my ankle the day they came in, before I even got to try them on. So now I'm healing up and binge watching your videos while crocheting accessories for my skates 😅 thank you for these tutorials!

I think the term you were looking for was the 'ball' of your foot but I MUCH prefer toe knuckle 😂

But isn’t the stick strut walk just dribbles? I’m confused, what’s the difference? And can it be done with toe stops? And am I able to achieve this as a beginner? 🙈
Can you learn this with a super stiff boot like moxi BB's or is it not as easy?

I've watched this video like ten times and have probably practised for about six hours but I just CAN'T go backwards with this! I stay in place or sometimes go forwards. I must be missing something about weight distribution. Any tips?

@@DasiaDoesIt hi! I'm looking at videos of myself to try and figure out, but I've only filmed from in front of myself. I think it's titled backwards because I really make a concentrated effort not to look at my feet and keep my back straight. Do you think I should move my head forward a bit?
That "palm of your foot" is called the ball of your foot ;)
