knowing the amount of different shield irl it surprises me that mojang hasnt at least mentioned the idea. consider this: sarrisa shield. It takes up the offhand slot and you are unable to raise it, however the shield itself adds extra protection by either reducing the amount of incoming dmg and effectively acting as extra armour and/or (havent decided which one) having a chance to completely block the hit. it is innefective against ranged projectiles. heater shield or kite shield. The ability to block while on horseback is removed for the normal shield and instead you have to use the new shield, either you can make both the heater shield and the kite shield and they both have some kind of difference in either durability or smth else (idk im not a game designer but mojang are). in terms of downsides it has less durability and has less protection while off of horseback (either you can get struck in the legs or the protective "cone" is smaller (its hard to explain without visuals). alternatively arrows might have a chance to not get blocked by it. also i suggest that for this to actualy be useful we buff horses so horse armour is easier to get and also make it hitting somebody with your weapon while on horseback increases damage and knockback by a lot. like twice the damage seeing as youre probably only gonna get a couple hits off at most before your target either shoots you from range, build something to stop your charge, or escape to safety. there are other things that could get added like leather shields that have abysmal durability but only require leather and sticks. but if im being honest im really just scratching the surface. i mean imagine how much more depth we could add to the game if we added extra weapons and mechanics. things like more stuff for horses like lances for charging. also more weapons like spears and maces, maybe even play around with armour like making chainmail weak to arrows or adding in heavy plate that reduces your speed or makes swimming a pain. make the heavy plate resistant to arrows so shields become practicaly useless. and also just give horses some love please like my god theive barely receaved any new content in years even tho theire so good please mojang just let me perform cavalry charges on pillagers with my friends i beg you.
I had an idea for copper shields and you would surround a shield with copper ingots. The shield would allow you to boost yourself forwards or upwards. And if you boosted into a player it would deal 4 hearts. To upgrade the copper shield you could combine a copper ingot with an axe and get chipped copper to upgrade your copper shield. This would add spikes to the shield and be able to break blocks and deal more damage to a player (6 hearts) so in a way it would make the shield even more op.
@@chazzistheman When I think of a shield bash I think of the shield bashes in Skyrim. Low-damage, close-range attacks that stagger enemies, causing a brief stun period. However, since Minecraft doesn't have Skyrim's stamina system, you'd have to have either a built-in cooldown or a massive durability cost on the shield in order to make it so you couldn't indefinitely stun a mob.

I just thought of an idea for copper that I think would be a nice usage of it- locks and keys. It functions just like the existing minecraft code that allows doors and chests to be locked with commands, but you can craft it and click it onto the block you want, then turning the item into a key in the same slot it was in when you used it. (Like how emptying a water bucket will leave the bucket in your hand). ONLY that key will pair to that block now, and if you want to remove the lock then just left click the lock with the key. Sure it has the drawback of not being able lose the key or else you can't open the chest, but breaking the chest/door is still an option, which isn't a problem because a player could just break down the wall of your house if they wanted in badly enough, so it's not like the lock is much aside from a mild annoyance to intruders.

With regards to the amethyst monocle: -could use echo shards instead of amethysts to give them more of a use -should take up the helmet slot to nerf it -maybe rather than showing where the diamonds are, it would simply beep louder and louder whenever you get near them, like a metal detector
I agree with all of this. My only concern is players who are hearing impaired or deaf. Relying on audio cues might exclude certain players from using the monocle effectively. It makes more sense to me for the cue to be visual, considering it is a monocle. this needs to be sent to the devs. i think it is a perfect use of amethyst, unique deep dark treasure, and a new shield form. obviously not every part of this would be balanced in gameplay, but the main idea would be a great addition
An idea for a type of crystal shield made of diamonds or amethyst is an idea I’ve thought about. Another way to carry it out is have the shield perfectly deflect ranged attacks at an increased velocity. An arrow kits the shield and boom the skeleton is missing a few joints. Other than that the crystal shield idea would just be a shield with much higher durability.
This are amazing ideas, yet I doubt that mojang would put all those features of the shield like the burst or sparkling sword thingy, since they go too much into superpowers or like rpg abilities(meaning too magical for mc) but I think a double jump could work in minecraft but with the echo shards to craft maybe a object like a piece of armor or something held in your off hand so not to make it overpowered like the shield in which you can both block and escape too easily. But the warden idea is magnificient and should totally be added to make the warden more terrifying, maybe even making it break blocks or transform them into easily breakable blocks or even gravity blocks so that you can't simply skyblock your way into the deep cities
I don't know if the shield dashing would be added. That and the shockwave back seem like a bit too much. Though a double jump would be interesting and unique.
A double jump feature on a shield? Have you lost your mind? The tridents felt too much before it was introduced so I'll have my shockwave shield any chance i get

@@supernova5934 I agree that jump boost is pretty useless, but I would argue that is a bigger problem with potions. Plus, jump boost is only half a block per level. That is not nearly enough to be useful. I have it on a beacon in my main world because it is permanent. The only time I remember I have it at my base is when I am near fences. It is not useful any other time. Plus, the potion could work on the shield jump as well. Making for an interesting combo that actually could be useful because it isn't just half a block. As for the rest of your criticism, you can't really use horses, donkeys, elytra's, or riptide casually in a cave. The animals need more space, and that isn't even close to how elytra's work. Unless you have fireworks, but even then, you need some space, and if the spot you want is only a few blocks up, you will absolutely overshoot it and hit a wall on the way back down. I guess you could have a bucket with you for riptide and just mine back down to get the water back, but that is a terrible solution. So no, most of the solutions you suggested wouldn't work in a situation where a large double jump would be useful. Plus in the nether you can't get water so riptide is useless. I was thinking of something I could use in the basalt deltas and other spaces where blasting off with a firework means charging directly into a wall and falling into the lava.
Also, the Treasure glove could also have some very potent PvP applications. If used against a player charging at you, you could use it to not only send them flying, but also heavily damage their armour and shield. You could also steal the charge from an opponent's amethyst shield to fuel your glove
The Amethyst Sword dive is an interesting idea, but it wouldn't work in Minecraft's combat system unless it were to be triggered by you, the player, making contact with your target. The sword only swings once, and damage is dealt basically as soon as you hit the button. If you're not in range, it will do no damage. And if you're double jumping, chances are you're not
An idea that this gives me is possibly making something similar with the armor trim system. Perhaps by making a craft-able item with similar functions to a template, to allow for something with similar function to the shield to be applies to armor. Perhaps doing something like either speeding up the charging process, or acting as defense from certain types of attacks.
I was thinking in a way to turn this ideas more vanilla-like. - I think the recipe for the amethyst shield could be simply a shield + an amethyst cluster. Since you need silk touch for those I think this recipe is expensive enough. (And Btw, the shield itself already looks like it is made like this) - Instead of a shockwave, the amethyst shield could behave like a normal shield enchanted with knockback (that is applied into the attacking mob). - In bedrock edition the normal shield already deflects blocked arrows, so the amethyst shield could increase this effect normally without needing special timming, like sending the arrow even further.
I think instead of having knockback, it should have thorns. As amethyst is kinda spikey it would make sense to make it deal some kind of damage to the attacker
Though if this was added maybe there would be some kind of downside like slower movement speed and/or a more narrow window if directions you can block and maybe add more tiers of the regular shield such as diamond or netherite so as to not make one item the objective best, i think any combat system is much more fun when there is no objective best weapon/weapons
You might want to revise the amethyst stuff that's based on vibrations to use echo shards instead as the skulk is more the vibration related stuff while amethyst seems more to revolve around light (plus the echo shard is currently only used for one recipe and would make for a good base for general skulk recipes)
You are so underated lol, I was thinking to myself a while back huh what happened to that channel with the light and dark modes then I saw this! It's a small change but it really sets you apart from everyone else, plus this animation is awesome!!!

Tbh I am shocked people haven't already made mods for these. Honestly some truly inspiring ideas. But if you want something that feels like this I would suggest playing on the Origin Realms server. I used to play on there but now my computer took a nosedive. 😞 So I can't play it anymore.
what about a new shield concept from the new snapshot called the echo shards where crafting it with the shield becomes an echo shard shield called "the echo shield" as the name suggests the shield causes an echo when it's stunned it makes a high pitch noise that makes the mobs in a 5 block radius stunned, making it useful when the warden is locked on to you, or if you are in a bastion with piglin brutes
The warden having basically vibranium is so much better of a reason for his ranger attack than “we didn’t like how players could cheese him so he gets the force now”
I'd love to see what this would look like in the first person view, i.e the GUI and the keybinds so we can get a full picture of what this would look like ingame, also great job on the concept.
I like the thought that went behind this however it feels a little too over-designed. Maybe just simplify it so that arrows can be deflected much further (as if they were shot from a bow) and melee attacks push back mobs.
legit for a minute I thought I was watching a trailer and tutorial on how to use the amethyst shield. this concept is amazing this is a concept that deserves to be a real item.
My god... the production value of this video is insane. If you ever need help making any of these concepts into mods, hit me up my dude. I'd love to work with you.
i really liked the amethyst shield boosting stuff idea, you could make parkour maps where you need a dash in the air or a double jump do get somewhere,it could give an extra hit by spawning a ghost clone of the player using the shield and hitting someone (got this idea after remembering that the amethyst is reflective)
I've never heard of a light and dark mode version of a video, as soon as I heard you say that I instantly subscribed. Thank you for the amazing quality content
i feel like combining the monacle and glove idea would make for a really cool concept where if you are using a specific gem type with the glove and bang it against the shield it would consume a charge and "reverberate" and show 'echoes' that lead in the direction of the same type of mineraland there could be different levels of echo strength depending on how far it is. maybe with the monacle if youre crouching or right clicking or something it could slowly consume shield charge and with it you could visualize reverberations of all things that make sound (mobs, dripstone, chests, doors, etc.) very cool vid i love these ideas
I can imagine people stacking up 4 or 5 amethyst shields before engaging in pvp with each other. That way you can charge up multiple shields at the same time and have them all ready at once
Maybe the glove can throw vibrations at the warden to overload it and temporarily stun it, allowing you time to escape while making as much noise as you want.
One thing that bugs me about this concept is that in the hypothetical where this were in ALL versions, it may be a little too complex for bedrock. Not to mention it’s a whole lot more complex than anything ever introduced (perhaps make the shield only have double jump and one other action). Just my opinion though. Keep up the good work and great animations.
Hey Blockixel I have a idea! What if the amethyst shield’s charge when using the glove doesn’t just distract William but stun them and maybe even cause them to run away from the sound!
I would love it if you or someone would make a mod with all these ideas! The Synergy of ideas would really be nice to see in minecraft, as it seems a lot of Mojangs new ideas have very little synergy.
I think instead of just being a double jump, it would be cooler if you would hold the shield towards the ground(and touching the ground) and tap the shield with whatever you're holding, and depending on what you're holding and how charged the shield is, it would launch you up and where you're looking
Bonus concept at 8:21 Let me know what you think!

(And Btw, the shield itself already looks like it is made like this)
- Instead of a shockwave, the amethyst shield could behave like a normal shield enchanted with knockback (that is applied into the attacking mob).
- In bedrock edition the normal shield already deflects blocked arrows, so the amethyst shield could increase this effect normally without needing special timming, like sending the arrow even further.
Weirdly enough the new echo shards introduced in the latest snapshots work way better for the shield than the amethyst XD
"In Bedrock Edition the normal shield already deflects blocked arrows"
Also in Java
@@Spatzleboy I mean, it's easier to deflect the arrow back to the skeleton in BE. In java you need to be much closer
I think instead of having knockback, it should have thorns. As amethyst is kinda spikey it would make sense to make it deal some kind of damage to the attacker
That glove turning stone into gravel is a unique and fun concept! Now I want this in either a mod or vanilla
Feels alot like a dungeon type of game, where you learn magic and other things. I love the concept.
So, if amethyst doesn't get to do something like this, the new Eco shards could serve a similar porpuse
babe wake up, new blockixel video
This is the first time ive ever seen someone post a lightmode and darkmode version of the same video.
I honestly dont know what to say
Mojang needs to hire this guy
mojang should hire him like right now!!!
How is this not something official from Mojang... It looks so professional
oh boy, new source of fresh serotonin!
Firstly, this concept is extremely good! Secondly, “Sparkling Amethyst Sword” sounds like it’s straight from an anime and I love it lol
There is so much effort in all of these animations!
All the concepts you make would be amazing as a mod
1. Extremely well thought out and rational ideas that aren't too mod like
2. Well animated video clearly explaining a pretty complex idea
3. Dark mode videos
Easiest insta sub in my life.
This needs to be a mod. All of your concepts should be a mod.
I like how the ejector is not only sentient but also has its own idle animation
If Mojang doesn't add this to the game someone should make a mod of this
Tbh I am shocked people haven't already made mods for these.
The warden having basically vibranium is so much better of a reason for his ranger attack than “we didn’t like how players could cheese him so he gets the force now”
Man mojang really needs to see all this concept work, it's awesome, amazing and interesting
Gotta watch both light and dark mode to show support ^^
I've never heard of a channel being considerate enough to have a light and dark mode of the same video!
The owners of Minecraft should definitely hire this guy because he has many good ideas that could benefit Minecraft
I'd love to see what this would look like in the first person view, i.e the GUI and the keybinds so we can get a full picture of what this would look like ingame, also great job on the concept.
The production quality here for this video is outstanding
mad respect for posting two exact copies of this video, the only difference being the quanitity of light. Actually a chad move.
This such a cool idea and the textures really look like they would fit into the vanilla game!
this is such a cool idea, and minecraft really needs more uses for amethyst
the explanation makes a lot more sense now with the calibrated sculk sensor being added
These ideas are so amazing and cohesive, this needs to be a mod!
i really liked the amethyst shield boosting stuff idea, you could make parkour maps where you need a dash in the air or a double jump do get somewhere,it could give an extra hit by spawning a ghost clone of the player using the shield and hitting someone (got this idea after remembering that the amethyst is reflective)
Honestly, I would love to see this included into Dungeons somehow, since it seems like a waaaay cooler idea for that game.
I was making a Minecraft+ modpack and stuff from this channel is PERFECT for it, thank you TH-cam recommended
Smooth Animation and compact Explanations, you're the Type of Channel where 400k Subs should be the minimum
these concepts are so good!! I really wish Mojang would add stuff like this it would be so cool.
This is outstanding! I wish the Minecraft movies will use this kind of style!
This is so extremely well animated and I genuinely love your channel, I look forward to seeing what else you make
bro i on een gon lie, dark mode and light mode videos are genius
Sooo good I love it
I would love a mod of this when archaeology is added. That is if Mojang doesn't ask if they can use the ideas you have made.
This would improve combat in a way I don't think anyone even conceived. Love ur vids man :3
Love the new concepts, keep up the good work.
I can imagine people stacking up 4 or 5 amethyst shields before engaging in pvp with each other. That way you can charge up multiple shields at the same time and have them all ready at once
I would love to see someone compile all your epic ideas into a mod
Maybe the glove can throw vibrations at the warden to overload it and temporarily stun it, allowing you time to escape while making as much noise as you want.
the concept of that shield is so perfect, that it hurts me so much that they will never put it...
I really really really love that you make dark mode videos, very easy on the eyes all times of day!
It would be cool to see minecrafters use something like this! And I think such a shield would be great when dealing with skeletons.
I can’t wait until they finish modernizing past Minecraft features and start adding new ones so stuff like this can actually happen
I've thought for a wile that someone should make a mod or mods for all of Blockixel's ideas.
my man predicted the shockwave of the warden
The fact that mojang added a sonic attack to the warden shows that they also take ideas from the community
I would love it if you or someone would make a mod with all these ideas! The Synergy of ideas would really be nice to see in minecraft, as it seems a lot of Mojangs new ideas have very little synergy.
I really like the treasure glove idea. Adds a new interaction between existing mechanics in an awesome way.
I think instead of just being a double jump, it would be cooler if you would hold the shield towards the ground(and touching the ground) and tap the shield with whatever you're holding, and depending on what you're holding and how charged the shield is, it would launch you up and where you're looking
The content you put out is actually insane. Not just the visuals but the ideas themself as well
Great job!
I'm still waiiting for Mojang to hire this man.
This guy should get a dev team together and make mod packs
