    A couple of years ago, my old college beater Corolla was totaled, and on a lark, I bought a 2015 Accord Coupe EX-L V6, automatic, San Marino Red except with a different trim in the front. I fell in love the instant I put it in S and floored it - it's SO POWERFUL! It's now one of momma's precious babies - alongside my 2016 Shadow Aero.

    Yo, Drive 315. Enjoyed the video. I've a 2016 EX-L V6 that I purchased new, it is the same color [in & out] as your 2017. While shopping, I decided that the Sedan was a better fit for our needs, however I will say that the Coupe is very stylish. Your trip-ometer resets when you fill the tank? My car does not do that. I agree that the performance of the stock V6 is outstanding... indeed, I've had compliments from passengers that seemed surprised that a Honda can jump-ahead like this. You're correct, it does feel like more than just 278 HP, of course this vehicle does have plenty of torque. I live in a metro area and I use the Eco feature when running errands and driving around town... it has proven to save gas. The highway sweet-spot for my Accord [without Eco] is 83 mph, the V6 purrs and will still jump if and when the throttle is pressed. Even at 80 mph and above, the car gets 30-34 mpg on the Interstate - depending on terrain. I noticed that your review was posted in Jun. of 2021. I'm writing this on 04/04/22 ~ our Accord has almost 24K miles. I replaced the original Michelins at 21K as they were starting to lose grip on wet road. Noted that you put the 2021 value of your Coupe at $20K, you may want to recheck that as their resale has gone up.... my 2016 is now worth $25K and the dealership is hounding me to trade-up. However, like you and yours, I love my car; I don't think that I'll ever trade. I have thought about upgrading the audio system, but that is a project for another day. When I hit the lottery, I may be in the market for an Acura TLX V6 SH-AWD Type S... and then keep the Accord as a daily driver. Too bad that Honda no longer offers an AWD... but that is their ploy to get us to buy an Acura. Wishing you and your Accord many safe & happy motoring miles

    • @danjoe22
      @danjoe22 ปีที่แล้ว

      you could experience oil consumption and subsequent engine misfires, your engine mounts could fail, and it may damage cylinder walls and piston rings. Do a search to find out more and how to bypass vcm.@@Drive315
