I fell in love the instant I put it in S and floored it - it's SO POWERFUL! It's now one of momma's precious babies - alongside my 2016 Shadow Aero. I GOT THIS car march 2016 as my daily driver ,and it already has 13k miles . it is wonderful to drive . the stereo is very versatile , and quite good , it has XM radio , HD which is great , USB , and blue tooth , along with telephone interface for apple and samsung , plus multiple apps . the GPS is very accurate and has traffic . the GPS has a great interface for finding stuff . the seats are heated . i got black on black , and in a southern summer , it does get hot while sitting in the parking lot , i put in a window screen which helped a lot , the AC is 2 zone ect and is typical great . lights are great but not auto dim , but are very powerful . the wheels are really beautiful , cannot really see how nice they are in the video . i have the auto , i really stressed over this , but went ahead with the auto . you almost have to have one with big city traffic . the auto is a little heavier than the manual and you can pick up on that when you try to really go through a tight corner at speed , you can feel some torque steer . if you punch it , you want to hold on with both hands , the car really moves . the engine note for a 6 sounds great . the car has many upgrades , and is probably the most optioned car honda makes , with out going to an accura . it has lane warning , brake warning , and the cruse control is adaptive , it would take only a small software change to make the car self driving . it is a joy to drive , i get > 30 MPG on HWY running off econo .

I love my 2012 V6 Manual. That was the last year for double-wishbone suspension -- they went to front McPherson struts the following year. The engine is badly choked -- open up the breathing, i.e. intake and exhaust, and you would be surprised how much power is liberated by simple bolt-ons. Nothing radical. If anything holds it back, it is the heavy dual-mass flywheel. Well, and the open diff, but suitably sticky tires and careful handling helps with that.

These are really cool cars! I was looking at them before I bought my BRZ, but they're really hard to come by especially with manual transmissions. And CVT is a big dealbreaker for me so I was kind of out of luck there. But the styling holds up incredibly well and personally I think it looks way way better than the new gen accord. Has a lot more character and not so generic old man car. And of course the stock power output is very impressive. I've never driven one before, but I can't think of any real negatives to this accord.

I remember a long time ago (1995) there was the Acura NSX, and it had only 250 hp with the automatic. It cost $125,000 back then. Now for $35,000 you can get an Accord coupe with 270 hp with an automatic, so to me this car is a really great alternative for a guy who could never afford the NSX back then, and he prefers Honda products. Like a reborn old NSX.

Wow, just discovered that for 1st gear, the ratio is 3.933 while 2nd is 2.478. That's crazy aggressive. All ratios are more aggressive than the 2023 Civic Type R (despite the final drive ratio being slightly less aggressive). Peak torque @ 5,300 RPM means that the power builds linearly and you get more power the more you rev out the engine (almost like V-TEC since it encourages you to be in the higher RPMs if you want the most power). What a sleeper of a car.

Looked at a bunch of cars this past summer and ultimately decided on a '15 6-6 with 28K miles on it. Took months to find a good example a couple states away. These reviews helped sell me on the car (thank you, Topher). Maybe if the market calms down in a couple years I'll make the switch to the Type R or something similar, but for now this checks a lot of the boxes for a daily driver. It won't eat a corner like my old RX8, but this engine will pull ya along nicely while the front tires yell for help. The car probably doesn't make sense to a lot of folks, but that's all part of its charm in my opinion. Very engaging in a refined, old school package (manual, analog, buttons, etc). Steering feel is non-existent but can't have it all...

I should have written this on my last comment, but if you ever have the opportunity to drive one of these again, I think it would be fantastic to compare and contrast a 6-6 with a modern Accord, especially a new 11th gen model. Honda's gotten rid of all of the enthusiast options in the Accord in not a huge amount of time, and this car was the pinnacle for those Accord owners that thoroughly enjoyed driving. Since the end of the 9th gen, they've gotten rid of the:
    -Coupe
    -V6
    2.0T
    -6spd Manual
    -6spd auto
    -10spd Auto
from 2023 forward, the Accord will only be available as either a hybrid or turbo 4 popper that are both paired with variants of CVT's exclusively. I get that it's a wise money making decision for a car maker, and the power-trains in the new Accord are more than adequate for the masses, but it's pretty sad, and frankly rather shocking to see how quickly Honda pulled the Accord away from enthusiasts. Time marches on, I suppose.

I bought a 2013 2.4 w/ the cvt (cuz im dailying and I've heard nothing but good things about it) and it's by far the nicest car I've ever driven. The 4 cyl is still quick, mines got a quality intake and exhaust but the only difference is it doesn't have the high rpm torque the v6s have. It gives alot stil,l all things considered, I'd reccommend the 4cyl cvt/manual for dailying but the v6 manual for a summer/weekend/secondary car. I woulda bought a v6 but I didn't want to mess with timing belts and some of the fancy features bug out on the higher trims like forward collision warning and push start
PS that comment at the end about MI not having curvy roads is so true, there's some in a few places but for the most part its straight and flat

Hello Chris or Topher, as you like to be called. I'm writing to you and your fans as well. I own the 2017 touring V6. I analyzed four main cars spec for spec. I liked the Mazda, fusion, camry and accord. I picked the accord because of the daily driver, all round car factor. Mind you, I still like other aspects of other cars...But the accord is a great handling car. Now, here's my main point for your buyers. The 2018 accord might beat the 2017 in some aspects, but perhaps not all? I do like the two screens and the design of the dash on the 17, rather than the 18. Of course the Mazda has a great interior, but it's a bit small. No car is perfect, so if anyone is in the market, it's best to analyze every aspect of your top four or five pics. Hope this message was helpful. And Chris...Again...your reviews are top notch.

Recently bought a 2016 V6 AT to replace a 2003 Eclipse GT only because of its age... Really like the Accord...Except for the seats..especially the passenger seat. Seats are shorter than the Eclipse and even my '94 MX6.. Stiff and not very comfortable. Other than that, has a lot of what we were looking for to upgrade our ride...to 2 people getting on in age. I like the Sport mode on this 'Touring' edition.

Well, I just came from a 2007 Maxima, which I STILL LOVE very very much but the transmission is almost gone. So I jumped on a 2016 Touring V6 Coupe Automatic. It's loaded and I did get an extended warranty on it, buttttttt I'M SCARCE. I will not try to hit the gas in it much. I wanna preserve the engine, as much as I can.

The way you'll kill the Honda V6 is to run it without oil or don't change the timing belt and let it snap. The Honda J35Y engines on these Accord's are bulletproof. Don't be scared to give it some gas , these engines love to rev. However, that doesn't mean you have to abuse it.
