Asking On Paper to look at anything other than the record as opposed to the actual fight, where Reyes definitively out-struck Jones and defended all takedowns across 3/5 rounds, is like asking him to prevent Johnny Walker attacking his family. Impossible. Also you are absolutely right. He very arguably lost to one legged Santos and Gus should have been a split-decision as, again, there is a serious argument Gus won 3-2.

It all depends on Makhachev if he defends his belt a record 4 time in the premier lw division then move up and takes that WW belt he will remain P4P#1, it's the most difficult feat a fighter can pull becoming double champ between 135-170.
It's crazy how so many UFC fighters and media cannot distinguish the difference between P4P and all time GOAT. Jones is the GOAT but you have to be active to be the current P4P no.1. One fight in 4 years against Cyril Gane doesn't cut it. It really isn't that difficult to understand.
