I use the Voice Tools App and it has really helped me. For MtoF trans people voice feminization can be hugely affirming. It has been for me. Olivia is fantastic and provides a great service. I have made great strides in my transition working with her and her videos. Thanks Olivia!
Thank you so much!! So glad working on your voice has been so affirming.
If you can, I would highly recommend utilizing the services a voice teacher who specializes in trans / gender affirming work like Olivia. My first voice teacher was a voice therapist assigned by my health care provider and they were used to working with people who'd had throat cancer, strokes & similar injuries. They were...not as helpful as they could have been.
Thank you so much! It's true that all SLPs are not necessarily trained in Gender Affirming Voice. I think there is more and more education, though. At least I hope so! Definitely good to do your research before you start sessions. Thanks for this comment! 🙂
Note that Voice Tools also has a Spectrogram function. It's a bit more hidden, under the last, 'More' tab.
You're so right, thanks for mentioning that!! :)
Great vid!
Thank you!! 😊
@oliviaflanigan5938 Yes, I have a very deep voice register and this is great information.
"La Croix." I'm literally LOL'ing.
Haha I love a La Croix!!!!
@@oliviaflanigan5938Oh you didn't say that just to make a joke! Thanks for helping me understand that. I respect that you love a La Croix.
Is there something similar to spectrum view on Android ?
Looks like there's one just called "Spectogram": play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.digivista.spectrogram&hl=en_GB
ok, so my normal speaking voice is already well within the acceptable female range, but i still sound like a guy, so since pitch isnt a thing i need to work on, what should i work on next?
Resonance! I've got a couple videos on that - check them out!! 😊
@@oliviaflanigan5938 thanks!
They are mostly useless, sorry
I'm sorry they haven't been helpful for you!
