Good Advice again from Olivia. Tension is something that I know I need to conquer. Relax and keep it light.
I also struggle with accepting my voice as natural. It is something I keep working at. I noticed that my minor speech impediment of a slight lisp effects how natural my voice sounds. I know what I need to do to correct it and it does not have to do with my voice feminization. As my voice feminization develops, if I can conquer my lisp I think that will help me sound more natural.
I am taking lessons with Olivia and she is the greatest. I have made a list with numerous things I feel I must do to make my voice feminization consistent. These things are from the lessons, both written and oral, that Oliva has given me. They remind me of the particular things for me that impact the feminization of my unique voice.
Olivia, you may want to add sections at different times in you video. It would help viewers.

Thank you so much! I've been following you for quite a few months now and I'm doing exercises recommended by you every day (vocal warm-up, stretching, massages, voice training...), but unfortunately I don't hear any change in my voice and this frustrates me, especially in public since very often I am quiet around people because I am ahamed, or it happens that people misgender me, even though I have a very feminine appearance (or at least people I know say that I have a "Barbie appeal", I don't heve that much self-esteem hahaha), but apparently just my voice is enough to recieve male pronouns, which clearly makes me suffer a lot. However, it must be said that there are a couple of people close to me, like my mother, that there is a slight difference in it, that before I had a heavier voice, and I have tried to pay more more attention to it. Anyway, I'm writing this long comment to tell you that I needed this video, you gave me more reasons to believe in myself and to be more confident in what I'm doing. So thanks again💜💜

Using a voice app is so, so helpful. Olivia has a video suggesting some. For me , it is essential to incorporate checking my pitch and recording my voice with the app into my practice.
I know my voice fluctuates. I think developing your voice is very much a part of developing yourself as a woman. As you identify and feel more and more feminine, modifications of your voice also become easier. Transition takes time to accept your true self and demands effort to nurture changes. As trans people we must be patient and continue to love ourselves through the process.
If you have the financial resources, you can take lessons with Olivia. Her rates are very reasonable and your time with her will be invaluable in your voice journey. Just five or six lessons will advance your feminine voice development immensely. Trust me, I have done it.
I am MtoF transgender in transition for twenty months.

Try do a sigh - this is going to result in a lighter vocal quality. Using that feeling might be helpful! :)

@@oliviaflanigan5938 Thanks but, I already use the sigh, it's now a must in every practice session I do hahaha; among other things, now I'm also trying to use it in public with my friends and it's working :) 💜

Not many people order food items with voice call anymore here.
But it's interesting to try some time ^__^

It really depends on the person! It's important to pay attention to how you're feeling. You can try to say the days of the week in a few different ways and notice if you feel tension in your jaw, tongue, or neck.

you look cis, but i'm curious if you're trans? only because i'm wondering if your knowledge comes from a more personal place of training your own voice, or if you're just a someone who has studied and mastered voice and decided to extend your knowledge to the trans community to help. if i'm out of line, no need to answer! thanks for all your videos.

Hey! I'm a cis woman. My degrees are in vocal performance, and I've been teaching singing and gender affirming voice for over a decade. Thanks for checking in - I know that some people prefer to work with/learn from someone with lived experience.
