    In this video I share how I address heavily stained auto carpets by using my Aqua Pro Vac extractor, McCulloch 1375 Steamer, Porter Cable corded drill, 4" drill brush heads, Bonnet pro rocket revive it, Citrol 266 and Tide Coldwater. You can also use Superclean, F-bomb or Meguiars APC in lieu of Rocket Revive it. This combination will remove 89-90 % of all carpets stains, from tar, nicotine, mildew, coffee and more.

    That was awesome ! I was taught that too when detailing, you never want to give the customer a false expectation when detailing. You want to under promise and over deliver and you should be good ! That will always stick with me...

    I had to get up tar prints recently from carpet at church. Grey carpet and around 12 or 15 footprints from fresh tar. Had pretty good results with liquid wrench penetrating oil followed by super clean and a shop vac. Scott shop towels for lifting the tar after letting liquid wrench dwell for a bit.

    I keep reading that to get rid of that mold it is most effective to use white distilled vinegar which kills 80% of all fungi/mold types, and must be left alone for at least an hour before scrubbing and blotting. The key is to dry it very well in order to avoid carpets and places getting wet again and allow the perfect conditions for the fungi/mold to form again. Keeping it dry is key which is difficult in a car floor.

    You "rocked" it Chelsea! Your arsenal of cleaning chemicals obviously did an excellent job of removing what I would say was at least 80-90% of the mold,mildew and stains! That Aqua Pro Vac extractor is "Awesome" and I think I would love to have one of these! Where did you purchase yours and what did it cost you? Are you happy with the performance of it and would you recommend it to other Detailers like myself! I have the 4" drill brush set and I do have a mid line wet/dry Shop-Vac but to me its not very convenient to try and do dry vacuuming and turn right around and use your vacuum to wet-vac carpets and upholstery on the fly! Chelsea can you share your dilution ratio's for the Citrol 266 and the Tide Coldwater solution/dilution ratio as well! What is the purpose of using the Bonnet Pro Rocket Revive It solution and what is the dilution ratio for using it on carpet as well! Thank you for an excellent video and short demo of effectively cleaning mildew,mold and tar stains and other stains from the carpet in this Lexus! :-)

      I purchased my extractor straight from aqua pro vac and it was just under $400. It was an investment that paid for itself after 2 jobs. For me, ease if use, it's cleaning effectiveness as well as speed of performing job are more valuable to me than saving $200 dollars. I used a rug Dr carpet spotter before I got this and comparing the two, it was a game changer for my business and quality of work. Cheaper than a mytee lite but just as effective imo

      The purpose of the rocket revive it is to have a powerful cleaner that doesn't leave residue behind. It is a hydrogen peroxide citrus based encap solution that works well with cwe. Highly recommended by carpet professionals and far more effective than Superclean or any other APC out there. It helps when doing carpets to use chemicals that were designed specifically for carpets.

      Try a degreaser like super clean or super degreaser or even Dawn dish soap as it loosens up and breaks up grease and oil. Clean with hot water and a stiff brush and then extract. Might even try steam to loosen it up.

Anyway i didnt realize the whole time its been sitting that the back windows had been cracked open. Went to clean the car and discovered under my mat in the back seat that the carpet has alot of mold im just wondering would i be able to kill the mold enough for it to be safe to drive or should i cut that corner out completely.

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to clean it. Obviously protect yourself and wear a mask or respirator when cleaning but you can try a couple different methods. First vacuum what you can up, then apply white vinegar and let dwell. Then agitate, steam to kill the bacteria and then extract. May need to repeat. Finally treat area with mold remover /antimicrobium to prevent it from coming back. (I use this:www.lowes.com/pd/32-oz-Liquid-Mold-Remover/3623280?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-pnt-_-google-_-lia-_-133-_-thinnersandsolvents-_-3623280-_-0&store_code=1127&cm_mmc=src-_-c-_-prd-_-pnt-_-google-_-paint-_-MHLIA_PNT_Paint_High+Priority-_--_-0-_-0&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQiAiNnuBRD3ARIsAM8KmluL-9qcOigiQSfdnM3Bscq1UaBOWLIVohZ7Om10hWuHaCsZPgQVFlwaAtWmEALw_wcB
      Do this in a well ventilated area and allow the carpets to dry thoroughly after spraying with Mold Control. Mold may stain the carpets so keep that in mind. You may remove the mold but a stain may remain.
