I appreciate that you’re so honest to admit you’re not making £33k/y, because a lot of viewers might believe all famous youtubers are making millions out of youtube, which is only a very small percentage of youtubers. It allows us (mere peasants) to relate more to your opinion, even when it’s about luxury items that might be out of our reach.

Best part about Longines is they do discount if you ask in their ADs. I got the new Hydroconquest Automatic for £740 a couple of years ago including a separate Longines wooden display box. Think at the time it retailed for circa £1100. Love this sub £1000 bracket.

Great choices, Britt! The CW is an instant classic line. I actually wish the 39mm black and white models were simple without the bits of colour like the 36mm versions, but maybe that's just me. As for the sporty greens, blues, etc. 39mm CW63, go to town on the extra pops of colour. The only reason I haven't gotten the brilliant Seiko 5 GMT is I've gotten pickier and spend more now a days. I would like a Jack Mason Strat-o-timer instead, but I love the Seiko. Even the black one with that half grey bezel and the red GMT hand is gorgeous, but the blue and black is the star for me.
The new Khaki Expedition is great, but does break the budget, so the KFM is a great choice. The Land Rover bit made me chuckle. It sounds like you're describing Jason Heaton of The Grey NATO. The FC is an underdog and GREAT shout out. They need more love.
After handling the chunky older Longines Conquest, I am not as much of a fan of the choice. It's got crazy water resistance, but definitely feels more its

I went to the Tissot representative to try both the PRX and the Gentleman. The one I wanted the most was the PRX because I find that bracelet super gorgeous, unfortunately I didn't like how the watch felt on my wrist, those lugs were hitting my wrist bones and felt quite uncomfortable. I have big Casio Protreks that are around 50mm in diameter and I barely feel the watch at all, so the 40mm is not at an issue. So when I tried the Gentleman it was night an day, the watch rested perfectly on my wrist. If Tissot comes out with a 38mm version of the PRX I'll definitely try it again and if feels nice, i'll bring it home

I did a hands-on PRX vs. Gentleman comparison at Tissot's NYC store. The PRX seemed a bit boring, and it was a chunky thing compared to the Gentleman. Walked out with the latter, in the extra-thin quartz version. Looks very classy on a leather strap, and slips under a cuff easily. Add an Alpinist for outdoor wear, and you're ready for anything.

whilst I don't have enough funds (and guts to take the plunge) for a Cartier Santos, this week I bought myself a Seagull 1963 as a placeholder.
I don't know how you rate Chinese watches but this Seagull is mechanical, it has the right size (got the 38mm), exposed movement on the back of the case, good accuracy (much better than Seiko's) and some sort of heritage. and it was mine for a hair over 150 euros. it's not perfect (that would be a Vacheron Constantin 56 in my book) but it's good enough and I'm pleased with it.

TISSOT PRX should definitely be my NEXT WATCH! really like that WATCH! but there's one thing about WATCH VIDEOS, SEIKO IS ALWAYS THERE in VIDEOS like this, that just shows HOW DOMINATING SEIKO is! CHRISTOPHER WARD OMG, their watches are just so COOL and AMAZING! they are just so unique at their DIALS and that logo makes their watches look even more CREATIVE! thanks for showing some of the most cheapest😅 luxury watches on EARTH! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO WATCH GRINGA! i HAVE A weird question, choose one: JACOB AND CO godfather or oil pump?😅

Lay off with the caps mate, the Tissot is a 7 wrist minimum btw. Flat as a pancake...

Good overview with models that are not always comparable (auto vs quartz). But I would never call them LUXURY watches

Conquest is awesome, but the proportions just feel off. I have tried it on and... Something about the width of the watch and those wide lugs feels wrong(especially the newer version). On paper, it is a great alternative to BB36 and AT but in person, it doesn't feel as.... what is the word... Not refined but maybe elegant? For the price of the new one, I'd probably go with Formex Essence 39. The old one is a great option if you like the looks and the feel of it. In addition to Longines in that range, I thing you can check Rado Hyperchrome(quartz). Stunning piece.

Really want a PRX- but the larger one wears really large on my wrist (not exactly a tiny 6.5 wrist) due to shape/band integration and the small one feels tiny....really hoping for one right in the middle (think black bay 58 family sizing)

I'd like to see your take on watches that show the time in "non-conventional" ways like the Bradley Eone One, the Ressence line-up or the HYT watches. Most watches have been using the same lay-out and I like to see more non-conventional designs show to more people.

My Seiko spb143 is the best $1100 I’ve spent on a watch. It’s not my most expensive but it’s my favorite.

Would throw in the Citizen Tsuyosa between the Seiko and the Tissot. They comming out with new colors and with new dials. And i think they look way better then the prx.

I was going to suggest the Sinn 556 on leather but it's just gone up to £1095. However I am confident you could strike a deal with Ryan at Francis & Gaye in Coventry and get it for under £1k.

I like diversity in my collection and that means going from high to lower. A sweet watch is a sweet watch and “sweetness” is not always price dependent. I have the 38mm Hamilton Khaki Bronze Field Watch and it is a charming piece of kit. Ditto for my Seiko Grey Birch SPB237 Captain Willard dive watch. Life is too short to feel constrained to collect only expensive references.

My favourite watch under a grand has to be the Victorinox INOX automatic.
It's just a gorgeous watch, it even gets more wrist time than my Omega's and i'm the biggest Omega fanboy of all time 😎
Steinhart also deserves a mention (when they're not making Rolex homages), the Apollon in particular is a fantastic watch.

King Seiko on the rubber? Proper dive watch, nice dial no hardlex and less that £400 if you ask, also shamelessly plundering my own collection the Classico Unimatics are well in budget. Great vid
