Do Oris you monster.
Yo I spilled my water laughing at this. 😂
Lol
😭😭😭 im fr wheezing
Thanks for mentioning the Tissot Gentleman. Actually there are more than a few Tissot models that exude the luxury vibe without totally destroying the budget. Those vintage inspired chronographs are stunning. Your content and presentation are both brilliantly done! 🥃
Love my gentlemen and it gets A lot of my wrist time !
Fantastic trip through the entry into each brand / level and what to expect. You mentioned a part 2, maybe covering a nice Tag, Oris, etc, many more out there 😊
Great choices. Especially the Longines.
Ahh thank you so much!
God damn it, every time i watch watch youtubers i end up buying a watch
Starting the video from 1,000GBP- I thought it was too much. Now at the end of the video, I am like, ok, I can spend 25,000GBP
Oris rocks big time
You know, Oris is noticably missing from this list! I need to make a Part 2 to fix this!
I bought the Seiko sports GMT recently and I absolutely love it, took it on holiday, never took it off, swam with it in the sea, lounged by the pool then went out for dinner in it, suited all occasions, and despite taking other dressier watches I never felt like wearing them, the Seiko just worked perfectly.
OMG, Britt, another great video!
While you're Jonesing on the Hamiltons, don't miss out on the Khaki Field Titanium, which comes in 38 or 42 mm (I know you'd love the 38). My friend got one a few weeks ago and he claims that it lost just 2 seconds in an entire week!
As always, thanks for the excellent content! 👋😃⌚👍
Nicely done. Just added a Squale 1521 as entry point to my existing collection. Just under $1K but great vintage diver look, nice finish including rotating bezel click click sound. Most importantly in my eyes, I was captivated by the founder Charles Von Buren dedication to develop the best pro diving tool in the early 70, working with free diver legends like Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca.
Sinn 104. It's simply wunderbar!
Christopher Ward would be a great addition to this list. Great video! The vibes are like a warm blanket on a cold winter day
A full railmaster video would be awesome. Such an overlooked watch from mainstream TH-cam
You’re forgiven by this Omega Fan! Great video!
Wearing my railmaster denim while watching video. This is a must see watch in the metal. Nice to get a shout out-thanks Britt
"You really can't argue with the PRX"
Well I can
The powermatic 80 uses plastic parts and is not repairable or serviceable. It's essentially a disposable watch. It's either a new movement or the bin. This is one of the few times I'd say get the quartz rather than the auto. You're still buggered if it fails but you've lost a lot less money
and it's ugly
yeah agree i have the tissot prx tiffany for 300 euros and its a great watch with a Beautiful dial. If i wanna buy an tissot automatic then the gentleman. Sadly, the gentleman increase in price by like 30 % the last 6 months
Loved watching this. Today by coincidence I bought a Hamilton Khaki Field Blue Dial titanium. It’s 42mm but only 11.5mm thick. Looks amazing on my 7’ wrist. Thanks for all the content and humour 😊.
I bought new Breitling SuperOcean 3 months ago and I never go out without it and it is extremely accurate being Chronometer.
You can talk about carpet; I’ll still watch. Love your videos, Britt.
Britt, just wanna say I've started watching through your episodes, and you're fantastic! Your natural ease in front of the camera is delightful, along with your passion and enthusiasm. And, not to make you self conscious of it, but your use of the coffee cup is low key brilliant. It gives you this two-friends-hanging-out energy that works beautifully. Awesome! Cheers:)
Great video! I would love to see a watch brand ranking based on their entry models, which ones are good value for price and which ones are overpriced.
Missed out Christopher Ward, but also Bremont 👍🏻
The heritage line from Tissot is so underrated
I wanted the most watch for my money in the luxury segment and decided that a top-end Tissot was better than a bottom-end Longines. The watch I chose was the Tissot Seastar 2000 and if you happen to check out the specs, it's basically an Omega Planet Ocean for 1/8th the price. It literally out-specs every single dive watch below the specs of the Planet Ocean including the Mido Ocean Star, Rado Captain Cook, Hamilton Khaki Diver, Glashutte Original SeaQ, TAG-Heuer Aquaracer, Breitling Superocean, Oris Aquis, Omega Seamaster and Rolex Submariner despite costing way less.
Underrated pick for entry level but Glycine! the Airpilot is an excellent quartz chronograph for the money
Britt!! You have me pondering about what is entry level to me. I think I understand your reasoning for those watches above 5,000, being the specific models are entry level vice the brands. It took a couple of cups of coffee to realize what you presented. I do love a thought provoking video. Thanks and Long Live the Cult(s) and 4:30 Date windows!!
LONG LIVE THE CULTS!! And the Lord told me he doesn't like the 4:30 date window. ;) Bahaha! Sending you giant hugs from Gringa HQ!!
I shouldn't say this because I want them all myself, but second hand/vintage.
You mentioned Hamilton, I used to have a Piping Rock quartz reissue.
Longines, I like the sector dial watch, might be still under 2Gs? I'm wearing a Thorn tuxedo dial right now, like one that Longines did, but Omega invented the tuxedo dial, not a Longines original design. I'm glad you pronounced Omega as Omega and not Omeeega, they should give you a free watch for that ☺
I love your videos, Britt. Really funny and informative at the same time. You inspired me to get my grail, Explorer 124270
Interesting selection. Suggestion: do this same video but focus on independents, smaller brands, and/ or micros. Thinking along the lines of Minase, Chronoswiss, Horage, CW, Cuervo y Sobrinos, etc.....
“One day when I win the lottery” is my spirit animal moment 🤣
CONFIDENCE. ;) hahaha
Great vid Britt but please do a part 2 with other brands like Certina, Mido, DOXA etc
u got me back into watches ty
Don’t denigrate your opinions! You are humble and create fun content!
I go the vintage route and have a great watchmaker service them. I love the depreciation and skip the inflation.
if we define luxury as something that is beyond strict necessity, then any watch is a luxury item. To my budget, a modest Seiko pressage is a high end watch.
I would have called it most accessible offering versus entry level. Just because most people think cheap when they hear entry level. Pretty much outside of Casio, Seiko, Citizen any of the big boy watches don’t really offer entry level. A 3K Breitling is still a damn fine luxury watch. But I see where you’re coming from etc. The Omega Railmaster is a great entry point into Omega. I have one, and it is fantastic. Beautiful, refined, and wets the appetite for Omega.
This is a tough topic to address because "entry level" offerings can compromise expectations, especially when complications are concerned.
for Longines.... I would recommend the conquest/Hydro conquest lines too...
TIMEX Expedition would have been a great addition to a “Entry Level” video: Titanium + 200m WR + a great looking watch at a very responsible entry level price!
I NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS!
Wouldnt call Timex ”luxury”.
@@kossan5023 … definition of luxury is relative! 😉
@@BrittPearceWatches Please look at Certina and Mido.
Nice vid Britt. Tag heuer, midas and Oris are also really perfect entry level watches.
*For most buyers of the expensive marques, I don’t believe “entry level” applies in the way it likely does for the Casio Timex customers. For many wearers of a Rolex, Omega and similar, getting one is the final level. The Rolex OP wearer stays there, s/he doesn’t trade up or add to a collection with more expensive, greater complication models the way enthusiasts & WIS nerds (such as myself) often and continuously do.*
Well Britt, you might be surprised but this video is where you catch your unique perfect tone in content creation, just lovely! Greetings from Istanbul
I have a few suggestions that perhaps you overlooked. Baltic, Traska, Wise, Christopher Ward, Seiko Alpanist, Oris and of course I am a huge Breguet fan
As much as I love the Spirit Zulu Time... because I have one... I think a better entry to Longines is the new mechanical Conquest at $2000. I haven't seen one in person, but it's stunning in pictures. And that brown dial version...
I was seriously expecting her to say Conquest. I like the looks of the Zulu Time too, but all of the Longines designs right now look good.
Hi brother, I owned the Longines Zulu Time too. Love it.
Love your channel. You realize watches are fun. A lot of watch videos make it sound as if Rolex could end world hunger. Congrats on sneaking up on 100k subscribers
🤣💕 oh BLESS! I take a lot of heat for how much I like Rolex! But I really do try my best to remember it’s ONLY WATCHES!!! They are meant to be fun!
Mad respect for adding the Railmaster! Btw, I forget you due time constraints but you didnt include Zenith or Oris.
A Lange is my personal favourite brand out of everything 👏👏👏
I like your list! I have the PRX Quartz, Overseas Black dial, Modded seiko Batman. Great minds think alike
Was surprised not to see Oris on this list.
Great video, love your selections - thanks for sharing !
If they didn’t sell out almost immediately, studio underdog would definitely be on my list.
Anyone like citizen watches? Just got my first watch for Christmas and I absolutely love it ( I picked it) it's the Citizen BH5001-56H. For me it's comfy, clean and simple I can't wait to get more watches to the collection 😄
A pretty comprehensive buyer's guide.
Thanx Gring!
What whaaat! thank you so much! i'm so glad you enjoyed!
@@BrittPearceWatches if I were Sinatra, I might call you ring a Gring gring..
Some great choices there from you.
Sinn deserves a mention with the 556 , but, as you say how longs the list.
I'm reminded that one man's bread is another man's poison. Once a watch creeps up past, say, 1500 (pounds or dollars), I can't consider them "entry level". Mentally, I live on the value sigmoid curve and know I'm only getting minute incremental gains (in looks, function etc) for lots more dollars and honestly, for me, a lot less enjoyment! I'd worry all the time about any high end item (watch, pen, car etc). I'm very happy sporting my entry level Hamilton Khaki Field!
Great video. Love that Spring Drive Grand Seiko. I mean I really really love it! I think my entry level to the brand though would be their quartz GMT.
I like the new Longines Hydroconquest GMT 39mm, seriously considering getting one
It's sooo good!
Except it’s 41mm.
What a nice selection of watches 😎🙌🏻.
What whaaat! The Dr Fernando seal of approval!
Well done Britt, I didn’t think you would hit all the good ones, all the ones i would pick but you did 😊
Another fun video! what is the song at the start of the speed round?
Hey there Britt, what a great video, loved the way you edited this one 🤩👍🏻
Great options for entry level watches. Maybe I would also add the Christopher Ward - The Twelve as a great allround starter into the luxury watch world.
Cheers Britt, looking forward to the Halloween 🎃 live show 🥳
Whaaat EDWIN! MY day has been MADE! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video and the edit!
favourite Brit video to date......so much useful intel that is actually actionable because we aren't all buying a Rolex
Like Seiko 5, PRX has no screw down crown despite 100m water resistant. If one were to wind it daily, will the water resistant be compromised? So it is not considered suitable as a daily swimming watch. Unlike Casio which has no winding required.
Great video as always :) one of my favorite watch brands you missed was F.P. Journe! Loved it regardless
Which Journe do you think is entry level? It’s a tricky one.
Love the video! Just great!
I would mention Certina and Oris
Certina all seem very similarly priced 🤷🏻
Really want to get a Tudor prince date day with a blue dial recently, people around me all say I should get a Rolex day-date instead. I already have a 118138 and I really do need a more everyday watch. Is a prince date day a good watch to get?
I think we deserve a part 2 with Christopher Ward, Zenith, Seagull and others 😅
What’s the entry point into Seagull?? Aren’t they all cheap as chips??
I wanted the most watch for my money in the luxury segment and decided that a top-end Tissot was better than a bottom-end Longines. The watch I chose was the Tissot Seastar 2000 and if you happen to check out the specs, it's basically an Omega Planet Ocean for 1/8th the price. It literally out-specs every single dive watch below the specs of the Planet Ocean including the Mido Ocean Star, Tudor Black Bay. Rado Captain Cook, Hamilton Khaki Diver, Longines Hydroconquest, Glashutte Original SeaQ, TAG-Heuer Aquaracer, Breitling Ocean Master, Oris Aquis, Omega Seamaster and Rolex Submariner despite costing way less.
If I hadn't bought it, I would be regretting it today. Fortunately, I knew that at the time and didn't hesitate. I would recommend checking it out to anyone but do keep in mind that it's big at 46mm (rivalling the Bulova Lunar Pilot and Invicta Grand Diver) but if you have flat, slab-shaped wrists like mine, it's absolutely perfect and a must-have.
Something to think about! I mean, of course I want ALS, Patek, VC, Breguet...and Rolex, however, you gotta start somewhere! Thank you for posting.
Right?! And in this addiction you always want moooore >=]
@watchgringa yes!! Please keep us updated on your next acquisition. I know I'm interested, and I'm no trend-setter, so there has to be other viewers who want to keep up!!
You forgot AP
@@tyarnold4088 I did - thanks! There's a Royal Oak I need!
I feel like you could do an entire series of videos just to cover the watches that commenters say you missed. 🤣
Great video, Brittany. 👍😎
This video is SOOO AWESOME!!
Great video. To know what is luxury you have to start from the opposite of luxury - necessity.
congratulations on your video. The production is excellent and the content very interesting.
I second the below comment...CW is a great starter!
You're sooo right!
Love the Railmaster, under the radar and robust
Missed Tag! It was my first luxury watch (aquaracer) and would love to see you talk more about Tag :)
I was thinking the same thing! My first automatic was a Tag Carrera. Wearing right now, actually…
1. Great choice of watches.
2. Great choice of background music.
3. What's all this concern about the length of the video!? I wouldn't mind watching you talk about watches for 20 minutes or more!
Cheers! //Rick
Awesome job 💐🤠
I love my Tissot Gentleman but my crown got very hard to turn after 4 months, sent in for a warranty repair and they did nothing. Back in it goes 🤷🏻♂️
Loved this video ❤
Britt, I just saw the add you did with Christopher Ward! 10/10, very good stuff.
Ahhh the adverts are LIVE?! That’s great news!!! I was so glad when it was all approved! Honestly. Absolutely love working with CW. Such a pleasure! They gave me a choice for a cash payment or a watch. Of course I got a CW Twelve 36mm! Can’t wait for it to come!
@watchgringa that's so cool! Every wristwatch TH-camr I've seen who has worked with CW has had great things to say about the company, which I love to hear. We buy watches because they give us a certain feeling, and Christopher Ward seems to understand that.
Presage was my first ever automatic srpb44j1 margarita absolutely gorgeous and still have it
What a CHOICE!!! So class!
Maybe should retitle 16 cool entry level watches from favorite brands and remove the word “luxury” since the word luxury means different things to different people? Anyway as always still enjoyed your video! Keep up the great work ❤
I love my daily wear PRK Powermatic80 40mm light blue dial!!!!
Thank you for giving the Railmaster a shout out. It is criminally underrated. I bought my Denim dial grey market from Japan and for $3150 CAD, you can’t name a better watch for what it is and price.
GP is never mentioned
The I love gold bit made burst out laughing XD
Brit I’m a fan because you give original thoughts and perspectives that said I was hoping you would have excluded some of the easy usual suspects and introduced us to up and coming micro brands I look forward to your efforts on this side of the industry
Ahh I am sorry!
if ur a beginner planning to buy just one watch to wear for the rest of your life, buy a speedy.
Oris Big Crown Pointer Date is a great option, too!
Omega Speedmaster man on the moon is a great entry level watch. You can build your collection from there
Great information. Just wondering why anyone would argue with a watch?
OK. I just HAD to look up the word "whip" in the context you used it in. This is new to me. So very STREET of you! Impressive! Is that photo of your actual bicycle? If so, what are the specs? Looks like a nice ride! (Seriously, I'm a bicycle enthusiast, even if not an expert.) BTW, I commented on the watches on Patreon. In summary, I have 5 Tissots!
LOLLLL, I mean! Always keeping it STREET here in Gringa HQ± And no. :( It's not my actualy bike! I didn't want really admit... I am currently whip-less as my bicycle is all mangled from my crash! I need to buck UP and buy a new one! ;) BUT YOU SHOULD HELP ME FINDING MY NEXT BIKE!!! I've got about a £2,000-£2,500 budget! I like road bikes!
@@BrittPearceWatches A Bicycle is an extremely personal thing. First off, it must FIT. A good bike shop will size the bike to you. Second, decide if you want aluminium or carbon fibre. Aluminium bends. Carbon fibre breaks. (The goal is to avoid either condition.) I hear nice things about Orbea. The Orca M30 Carbon Fibre Road Bike is in your price range and comes in Yellow, same as my Mustang GT! I haven't seen one as I don't think they are available in the USA, but worth a look. Trek is excellent. As are Cannondale and Specialized. I have a Raleigh Mountain Bike from 1999 which is very good. I would start with the Orbea then look at and of these other brands at the shop. A good bike tech can help you far better than I can.
Great video!
I’m only halfway through the video, but want to say I DESPERATELY want a Tudor 1926.
My dad has been a Seiko wearer as long as I can remember, and my current daily driver is a Prospex Diver. But I tried on a 1926 and a Ranger and I am dying for the chance to snag either one in the next year or so.
Hey Gringa, I have read that Rolex 32×× movement have some amplitude issues in 1.5years time, is that true
Hmm I'll need to look into it ^_^
Your correct, entry level means entry level price point for the brand that gets you into one of their watches. I have the Seiko 5 GMT, and the Seamaster, both are fantastic watches.
Ahhh, I get in this argument with people sooo often! Whenever I call my OP "entry level" (.... which it is), my comment section is "ROLEX ISN'T ENTRY LEVEL" bahaha.
@@BrittPearceWatches lol it’s because people have misconceptions about what entry level means. To those people it means cheap, or lesser quality. Your OP is beautiful, great quality, and not cheap. In terms of price point it is entry level for Rolex.
cool sweater!
Breguet Classique ?
Could it be considered ?
Love your website.
Um…. My “starter” wartch is a GS SBGA443. Is it only downhill from here 😅
No, no, onwards and upwards ☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
