I hate those early clutches, I always had issues with them jumping and lurching, even after a rebuild. Best thing you can do is bin it and install a cosa. Great video though 👌
if it shut off immediately and suddenly, sincerly, sounds like an electrical problem. if not it would force off immediately once you pull the clutch. just my opinion

I appreciate the input. It’s the first time I’ve seen this problem but I will be replacing the clutch with the Cosa version.
The center brass bush on the clutch assembly will most likely be your issue. If it moves easily it needs to be replaced. Should be a tight fit.
Ah smart thinking on the compression test!!
Hey...I'm still here! There's always something to learn. Besides, I've got lots of time. I'm retired!
9:33 Man seems like mercato has all the scooter parts you need, they should sponsor you haha
Scooter Mercato is one of our sponsors :)
From my experience it would be the clutch washer cracked..
The brass collar?
I have that same center punch!
I got it from Snap On and its a little janky.
Interesting...I'm curious to see the results. Scooters can be voodoo sometimes
16:09 thats so weird, nothing is seizing…
Is the top (swish gear) worn badly?
It doesn't appear that way.

Sorry I may not have been clear. That engine stalls when I let off on the clutch in first gear. It has nothing to do with the electronics.
