Cameron, main brake seals usually have an inside and outside face. You didn't mention you tested them first for orientation. If you do it wrong they can fail in use. If you feel the seal lip it will feel sharper on the face that goes inside the cylinder first.
I'm a Honda guy, I just bought a 2006 cr 125 that i've been rebuilding for the pass month because I was pumped on your build! My brakes would definetly need some love. I also have a 2017 CRF450, you saw it on instagram ;)
I want to ride but never have and dont have the money too so im trying to get old parts and build my own bike. Your tutorials help so much thank you man!
Honda all the way I'm actually in the process of doing a frame up on my 01 cr250 and could really use it and thank you for all your content has helped me out so much
4:05 some grease guns can allow you to unscrew the top, turn over the chamber into the jar of lube and pull back the plunger until you get a clean pull and it bottoms out in the jar. Other grease guns that only work with cartiges can sometimes have a reversible plunger but I just bought a grease gun off Amazon for $20, easy peezy.
First i loved the hondas but man i had to switch to the 2 stroke kawasakis. I'm rebuilding my 1999 kawasaki kx60 engine with my neighbour. Its awesome how a bike can make a coneection with someone through sharing the passion man. Idk if it's a USA giveaway only cuz im from europe but still loved to share my story later.
I cannot believe how much this video helped me. Tip when doing fhe compessed air, don't put the air in the old retaining pin hole, it just shoots out the other side hahahahha
i wanna rebuild my bbr pitbike but im not very good at it. and i would defenetely trust you to rebuild and make my bbr mm12p look good again. theres just no one else as good as you it seems. nice video cant wait to see the whole bike together !
Cameron, don't use the maxima blue grease for the sliding pins. It won't withstand the high temperature of the brake caliper. Use copper grease instead, or specific high temperature (above 450 °C) grease.
I noticed that you didn't apply lube to the edges of the pads that contact the caliper - lubing with a specific anti-squeal grease is important, as those calipers do not have anti-squeal shims on the back of the fixed pad.
I'm excited to see what this is going to look like when it's done but I'll be bummed out when it's done too cuz I'm really enjoying the watching the build of the bike it's going to look sick
My favorite brand of bike is Honda, love the brand and I recently bought the bike I’ve always wanted, it’s an 02 cr250 that is need of a brake rebuild!
Looks like the same calipers that my 1998 Africa Twin has, and my 98 XR400. Unfortunately the left one for my Twin has been damaged, and the thinner outer seal wont stay in. struggling to find a replacement at a sensible price!
My fav brand is Honda I have 2 cr 125s ones an 03 ones an 04 the 03 I use for freestyle and me and my girl watch your vids every time you post them bro we love the vids without your help I’d never be able to build my bike like I do today stay pryme
Honda!!! They lasted longer than any of my other bikes! I used to have a yamaha, low compression, a kawasaki, needed a top end rebuild, and then some chinese bikes and they also broke!
I rebuilt my front caliper and master cylinder just like you, but even after bleeding my brakes it won’t build pressure and the fluid level in the reservoir doesn’t change when I squeeze the lever
My brake caliper piston fell out and I can't possibly get it back in. Any help would be appreciated. I also tried brake fluid around it so it makes it easier to get in no luck.
Hello Cameron. How did you fit the scotch brite wheel do your bench grinder? The discs only have a small half inch hole (my grinder has 5/8 shaft and most large grinders would be the same). Thanks! Peter
where are you on about ? he`s installing rubber grommets with assembly grease when theres no need, a bit of water and they pop right through, no need for grease and they dont need lubrication afterwards. Once its dry you can forget about them. Might be sponsored by Maxima but the less grease near brakes the better
4:05, Cameron, thats a white lithium complex grease. It does not hold up when used on brakes, please remove that. Use silicone paste not lithium, lithium is a multipurpose grease for bearing and sorts.
Just finish doing the rebuild, there is a tiny leak from one of the pistons. Anyone experienced this, do they “bed” in a bit with new seals, also it’s pretty cold right now, would that effect new seals?
What color banjo bolts would look good with these?
Grey
Cameron Niemela do red! Pro circuit makes some and red would look awesome!
blue!

brandywell44 I think he knows what he's doing
Sure, but showing others, you need to be aware of this.
I know I was just saying 😂

Nicely filmed and edited, and excellent instructional videos for how to. Sponsors gotta be happy with this coverage. Thanks for sharing
Thank You!

Honda is my favorite :) If you pick me then skip me since I don't actually need the kit. Rather see someone else get it.
Honda’s r one of my favourite bike but I don’t like Honda four stroke bikes only two strokes
7th. U8
Honda is my favorite. I'm rebuilding my 2003 crf450r from the ground up. It was in a fire. Its coming along. I need to rebuild both calipers.

Looks like after your repair the parts should work better than new one:) great video manuals. Thank you Cameron!

That's super cool that you've been getting sponsors for parts. Great video as always Cameron
Thanks! Yeah I'm pretty thankful for all the support.
I have a 2008 crf250r for me it is one of the nicest bikes that I have ever ridden
Looks easy enough but you always make things look easy you do excellent jobs
How is the front caliper slide pin removed Cameron? Thanks man. Looks sweet!
Honda! My best friend owns a Honda 250 and I'd love to give this to him as a gift!
i wanna rebuild my bbr pitbike but im not very good at it. and i would defenetely trust you to rebuild and make my bbr mm12p look good again. theres just no one else as good as you it seems. nice video cant wait to see the whole bike together !

Honda 250x. I’ve made that dirtbike into an enduro beast. I love her to pieces 😎

Oh there will definitely be more bike builds after this one
THANK THE GODS!!!!!
wish the calipers on my street bike was that simple mine are dual 6 pots up front

Honda without a doubt. Love my CR250
Add some galfer braided steel lines while you're at it. Makes a big difference to me.
My favorite brand of bike is Honda, love the brand and I recently bought the bike I’ve always wanted, it’s an 02 cr250 that is need of a brake rebuild!
I don't own one, but love the Yamaha YZ250. I could use this kit on my XR250, hopefully it would solve my spongy brake issues
my favourite brand of bike is defiantly Honda by far, for the mx 2 strokes of course
Love the look of those calipers!!
Yamaha is the best.
Thanks!
Love to see video which use my music's pretty well, Thanks for using my music !
Thank you for producing great music to use!
Looks like the same calipers that my 1998 Africa Twin has, and my 98 XR400. Unfortunately the left one for my Twin has been damaged, and the thinner outer seal wont stay in.
struggling to find a replacement at a sensible price!
Great video, music and patience 😂
Honda CRF450R all the way 🤙🏻
Honda!!! My 96 cr250 needs a caliper kit it’s leaking pretty bad
Honda. The calipers look fantastic mate. Can't wait for of the gear to be put together.
you should use silicone grease on those rubber pieces for the guid pins, petroleum with degrade the rubber
Hey Cameron, How much did it cost you in total to rebuild your front and rear brakes, not including cost of cerakote
I would never lock tight bleeder screws good way to strip them when trying to bleed system
Who would dislike this guys videos there totally awesome
My fav brand is Honda I have 2 cr 125s ones an 03 ones an 04 the 03 I use for freestyle and me and my girl watch your vids every time you post them bro we love the vids without your help I’d never be able to build my bike like I do today stay pryme
Im loving that cerakote! Maybe try a non-metallic tool instead of that screwdriver. Less chances of damaging delicate surfaces.
Sometimes I use long wooden q-tips for this kind of thing if they are strong enough
Honda. Will use the rebuild kit for my cr250
Honda!!! They lasted longer than any of my other bikes! I used to have a yamaha, low compression, a kawasaki, needed a top end rebuild, and then some chinese bikes and they also broke!
My favorite brand is Honda, that’s why I got a 03 cr 125.
Kawasaki! Im still looking for a seat mounting bracket also for a kx 100
I rebuilt my front caliper and master cylinder just like you, but even after bleeding my brakes it won’t build pressure and the fluid level in the reservoir doesn’t change when I squeeze the lever
Your videos and channel are freaking awesome! Keep up the good work.
Kawasaki, I ride an 03 CR250r though and love every minute on it.
No favorites, but I started on Yamaha’s but now I have an 04 crf250r.
keep up the good work! stoked to see the engine
If my calipers are in good condition can I just spray over them mate
Raw billet would be super sick! Can’t go wrong going silver! Go for the full factory look!
Honda is my favorite, Keep up the good work this bike is going to be sick
Do you know of an aftermarket or brembo part for replacing the sight glass windows and seals on the master cylinders?
Back At It Again !!
love KTM and have two KTM 125 exc 2002 and KTM 125 exc 2003 but if there was no KTM it have to be crf 250 twin pipe keep up the good work Cameron

Where i can buy the bolts at 11:17 and 11.37? And the Clips for the rear brake?
Those parts are looking great 👍🏻
Does anyone have tips for removing a seized/stripped brake pin?
th-cam.com/video/YJbTnkdpuew/w-d-xo.html
Cameron Niemela thanks a lot!
Harley freakin Davidson! Would that rebuild kit work on my xr650l? Black, red, or polished would look killer on the banjo's
The 650L kit is different unfortunately
Kawasaki, of course! :)
Good video. Showed me how to rebuild both sweet. Thought it was worse then that
Honda is my favorite brand bike and my 250 just locked up on me yesterday 😔
Does he have a video doing a rear master cylinder
My brake caliper piston fell out and I can't possibly get it back in. Any help would be appreciated. I also tried brake fluid around it so it makes it easier to get in no luck.
hi, so the master cylinder of the honda crf is valid for the brake master cylinder of the cr?
No way! Is that a piston return spring? We need to make sure Chris fix sees this 😂
Suzuki all the way but would love an CR 500 one day!! Can go on my dads 450.
I could put it to use on an 02 Cr250 🤘
Yamaha love
My faverite brand of bike is Yamaha! I just wish they still made ITs!
Hello Cameron. How did you fit the scotch brite wheel do your bench grinder? The discs only have a small half inch hole (my grinder has 5/8 shaft and most large grinders would be the same). Thanks! Peter
The arbor holes enlarge pretty easily when pushed onto the grinder shaft.
Cameron Niemela thankyou!
Tiiiiiiiiiiight !!! Gr8 video .xlnt job no doubt about it😊
You want to use silicone grease, not oil based grease. Oil base will break dn the rubber
I used plain water, dont want any grease anywhere near brakes thanks
codenamenel just like the factory, lol. Do you put water in your gas tank too?
I`ve never had a bike from the factory with grease on the brakes either
codenamenel they all have grease, if they didn't the brakes would freeze up. Look in your manual.
where are you on about ? he`s installing rubber grommets with assembly grease when theres no need, a bit of water and they pop right through, no need for grease and they dont need lubrication afterwards. Yamaha
honda great selection of bikes over the years.

Honda is what i have owned the most - raced for Yamaha - KTM so far is my fastest - just can't beat the good old hondas
HONDA! I ride a '99 CR250R. Best bike Ive ever owned by far.
Great vid can you do one on drum brakes
Great Job!🔧🔩🔩🔩⛩️👍👍
My favorite bike is a Honda. I have a 1997 cr 250r
I like Honda but I've owned all Yamaha's... Hopefully I'll get a cr80/85 or a cr125 soon
Talk to spec bolt and get a bolt kit to get all the nuts and bolts lookin pryme
