    I went with the Atomstack A10 instead of this one cause of the offline capabilities and the safety features.... Is there anyway to control this machines with something other than a pc? A raspberry pi for example?

    • @JTMakesIt
      @JTMakesIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You should check if Raspberry Pi can run Lightburn. The offline mode on the A10 is great for making a series production, but when making one-off project I always find myself fiddling a lot with settings, making small tests and doing this offline is very difficult. It is also much easier to precisely position the engraving while being on PC. Maybe it could run on a small Windows tablet or a mini PC. I wanted to by one from Banggood for a long time. They are pretty cheap.

Could you suggest me what is wrong and how can I sort it out. Thanks.

    • @JTMakesIt

      With your settings it should cut it in a few passes. Did you focus the laser properly?

    • @karthikprabu5632
      @karthikprabu5632 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JTMakesIt , Thanks for the reply. Yes I have set the focus according to your video by using the given 50mm cylinder rod. After almost 8 passes, it cuts. Is that right or anything you feel fishy in it.

    • @JTMakesIt
      @JTMakesIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@karthikprabu5632 it can be normal. The number of passes heavily depends on how dense the wood is. I test on Poplar plywood which is very soft and the easiest to cut. Dense and strong plywoods would take more than twice the passes for cutting. Try lowering the laser head 2.5mm so the focus will be in the middle of the material. It should cut a bit better.

      Puedes traducir mi respuesta :)
      Tienes que ver las propiedades del laser.
      El del Sculpfun es de 445 nm (laser azul). Si buscas la gráfica de los colores cromáticos (círculo con colores) verás que el opuesto al color azul es el naranjo y no verde como el que viene con la Sculpfun.
      Los 445 nm tienes que ver que las gafas cubran este rango. En las especificaciones o descripción de las gafas que venden lo indican. Ideal buscar unas que sean OD6+ porque el color es mas denso y protegen más.
