I went with the Atomstack A10 instead of this one cause of the offline capabilities and the safety features.... Is there anyway to control this machines with something other than a pc? A raspberry pi for example?
You should check if Raspberry Pi can run Lightburn. The offline mode on the A10 is great for making a series production, but when making one-off project I always find myself fiddling a lot with settings, making small tests and doing this offline is very difficult. It is also much easier to precisely position the engraving while being on PC. Maybe it could run on a small Windows tablet or a mini PC. I wanted to by one from Banggood for a long time. They are pretty cheap.
budget doesnt really matter( I just cant afford a glowforge), I want to make door signs, and mostly acrylic earrings, I am torn between the x tool D1 and this one. Tell me what to buy

@@JTMakesIt , Thanks for the reply. Yes I have set the focus according to your video by using the given 50mm cylinder rod. After almost 8 passes, it cuts. Is that right or anything you feel fishy in it.
@@karthikprabu5632 it can be normal. The number of passes heavily depends on how dense the wood is. I test on Poplar plywood which is very soft and the easiest to cut.
