as someone who's practically played ultimate team since the beginning I'll say the current player base is completely unequipped to deal with someone who plays creative and real football because almost everyone plays the game the exact same exploitative boring way nowadays will be my last year but just having fun trying to play nice football and the game is fine and can be fun until the game makes you lose on purpose and it drives you up the wall
So true, every time my buddy and I play it’s a non-stop cook fest. Peoples can’t defend at all. We slaughter and embarrass them the whole game and wind up losing after being aids’ed the whole time. The game doesn’t like people who are actually good at the game and punishes them for reminding the rats they’re horrible and that their excuse for “having to play like that” is just that an excuse. Then it rewards them for playing like that reinforcing them not improving.
You are so right, there are so many players only using 4321 in what ever variation they copied from tiktok or youtube and think they are the craziest players. This formation does everything for you, you don't need to defend press and even attack, it's always the same patterns of play and then they get salty if you take them apart. For years, I've been thinking on why the hell EA never address the no loss glitch and now I think I've thought the most plausible answer. If you played FUT for a long time, you'll know that there's a lot of social engineering going on in the mode/background to make you login and stay in the mode longer and longer. Because the longer you stay in the mode, the more likely you're gonna spend and purchase EAFC points. And no loss glitch is just a part of that, if you don't get a win when someone's no-loss-glitching then you're still 1 less win from whatever your objectives are. Then you still have to spend more time to get a +1 win, hence the longer you stay in the mode. To summarize, EA is pure evil.

the FIFA community was always toxic and I play UT since 2013/14 - at that time, ppl dab at you, but dont rage quit that often, nowadays, my team is named I RAGE QUIT, cuz I have no time to play against ppl who pass the ball around, do 20 tricks per second or just abuse cutbacks - there I just go out and leave, but I still always skip goals and dont griddy at anyone, until he/she griddys at me. I blocked DMs from "not friended" contacts btw... xD I just use stuff I used every FIFA before and play in Div3 atm. I stopped raging, I just quit, play the next match and go on. Its not very fun, but its like a drug you addicted to. Maybe I will launch a website in the future, where ppl can post usernames and what they have done, like time wasting, passing around in the back or do only cutbacks - yeah, its more toxic, but who cares... the whole community of FIFA/EA FC is toxic for years and maybe the toxiest com ever.

I don't celebrate at all and then this guy plays for 30 in game minutes just to equalise and then leave instantly. I always give away wins in champs when it’s impossible to reach the next higher rank in the hope that some others will do it too. But I don’t remember the last time a free win has been given to me tbh. The amount of people that rather give u nothing instead is crazy. Especially since it’s no effort at all to do that.
About 3 years ago, I tried to get into online multiplayer FIFA. I played about 8 games, all against better teams with the shiny players and whatnot. I lost 2 of them, drew another. The remaining 5? All quit when I was winning. I didn't play it again. Pointless, boring.
I remember playing my first competitive game. Until then i played just AI matches. My best player was 85 rated. His whole team was 91 ovr. I expected to get spanked. But he was good soul. Sure, scored 2 goals, but then got to my box and gave me a ball, so i can actually play. He literally let me train with him. In the end, i still lost 6-0 but my hope is that these players still exist. Nowadays, i will lose 31-0 with 5% possession, and probably pissed off restore to AI matches

Just yesterday while playing rivals. My opponent won 2:0. If he was a better player, I don't know, everyone at least knows the feeling of the game being on the opponents side. And instead of just being happy thaz he won he felt the need to send me this one word message "Trash". The FIFA/EAFC community really is the most tocix one.
I was away from this game mode for 5 years and came back to a completely different monster. Tactics, SBCs and Weekend League were a super different thing to me , i had no idea what they were. I hate what it's become. My tactics i take from the teams in the game. Its gotten me to Elite Division last year and this year im at div 1. I hate running down line so i dont do it. I say all this just to prove a point. YOU DONT HAVE TO PLAY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! Have a mind of your own. Play with cards you like and formations you enjoy.
Couldn't agree more. Sadly they all share one brain... I might be weird but I can't stand Icons so I don't use them. That's the only type of cards people have in their team 😭 I do try to make the game realistic and enjoyable for myself, but the problem is then you face an awful human being that ruins your experience...

I'm proud to say that this year I finally didn't buy Fifa after 19 years (I skipped a few after 2017, tbh), and good God how better it's the weekend when you don't have to play the WL. Do I miss a football game to play by myself or with my friends? Sure. But do I miss full Icons teams, not being able to try players because everything costs 1M+ (and I don't spend money on credits), being forced to play the same players and formations because otherwise you automatically lose? Hell naw. The last good Fifa was the 15 on ps3.

Just take the "mistery ball" cup as an example: Ppl, start a game, it they don't play first, or if they don't have a good "mistery ball" they pause and quit. Happened to me a lot tonite. One time, after facing the same guy 3 times and getting 3 quit I wrote to him: What is your problem? And he reply that he reported me. (for what, gods know) I secretly hope they ban me, so I would have the final push to delete this game. I cannot stand the community anymore.

You play and no matter what you had an untradable pack. 3 Qualified match, quarter, semi and finals. If you win good, if you don't well you just try again. Sometimes there were good opponents,. Ppl would play it cause it was fun. Sometimes you dominated the game, other times you lost badly. But who cared? You never felt like the game was cheating on you. They just need to remove skill based match matching from every damn mode and people would stop being so toxic.

There should be some mechanism in the game like if a player quits the game intentionally, then they will be temporarily banned from playing division rivals or champions till they play some amount of games in friendlies without quitting. If they decide to quit again and again, the amount of games they should play in friendlies should increase. Free Fire (a mobile game) had done just that. EA should learn or else the fan base is gonna decrease ( it already is)
The three pillars basically sum up every game that has a multiplayer these days (doesn't even need to be competitive). Use overpowered mechanics, play boring aka sweat as hard as u can no matter the stakes (no fun allowed bc everybody thinks they are a streamer) and be toxic af.

In last Fifa's I loved to play more like a Tiki-Taka play style with a lot of passes playing on the center. This year is impossible to do this and I'm forced to play on wings and run and using Rat tactics.

Great video, there is no fun playing FC24 anymore, everyone I face is toxic and rat, always pause the game after each goal, passing the ball in their half for the last 15 minutes of the match, cant even pass in my half because he has 6 players waiting to cut the ball, always has 2 CDMs and defend with the whole team, its even worse in friendly cup event, yet I didnt mention the gatbage gameplay when my defebce cant tackle or stop the ball when am leading ahead by multiple goals.
Bro this last weekend league itself i got a person who quit when i equalized 3-3 in 80th minute... i was soo furious that i went ahead texting nice things to him. And he said "cope dude" i mean he ain't wrong 😂. Edit: all his 3 goals scored were in 1st half, all cutbacks and i was experiencing DDA.. luckily in 2nd half DDA favoured me. Also, sometimes my girlfriend plays and her opponents confuse her not being in control of the game which is the case more often than not, unintentionally celebrating, running towards the cam or committing some unintended sh*thousery for being toxic so they become ultra toxic. People playing this game should also realize that they sometimes play kids, someone’s little brother, son or girlfriend who don’t even do stuff on purpose and think they are entering a game that’s supposed to be fun and that isn’t played by mostly gambling addicts that take it way too seriously. Obviously EA adds to the toxicity, almost every aspect of Ultimate Team is toxic because they simply try to get people to keep playing and to keep paying. P2W aspect is also crazy and it goes beyond being able to afford the best players. As an experiment go make a f2p account and try to get 20-0. It’s impossible. There’s a reason why they don’t fix “inconsistent gameplay” as you guys call it.

There is simple solution to all of this: FUT Champs is meant to be for the best players right? If you consider yourself the best, EA should force use of only FULL MANUAL settings, no assists. Right now the game plays for you. There is no skill involved in playing FIFA/EA FC on assisted controls. Sorry. Just take the Competitive settings further.
The point of UT is to build the best team not to be good or win I would’ve way happier with the game packing Pele than going 20-0 in champs. I have a theory why they will never fix the quit on a draw mechanic, lets say if you get the win for the other guy quitting on you that means you don't have to go into another game, which means you will have less time on the game. so the time on the game will drop a lot, then ea cant show their investors how much people "play" the game and how much time they spend on the game

I had a guy yesterday in champs kick the ball back to his gk from kick off. Juggle the ball for 10 ingame minutes and as soon as I got close he booted it out, quit and proceeded to message a bunch of laughing emojis. Only bottom of the barrel tier people play this game unfortunately.

About 3 years ago, I tried to get into online multiplayer FIFA. I played about 8 games, all against better teams with the shiny players and whatnot. I lost 2 of them, drew another. The remaining 5? All quit when I was winning. I didn't play it again. Pointless, boring.

I remember playing my first competitive game. Until then i played just AI matches. My best player was 85 rated. His whole team was 91 ovr. I expected to get spanked. But he was good soul. Sure, scored 2 goals, but then got to my box and gave me a ball, so i can actually play. He literally let me train with him. In the end, i still lost 6-0 but my hope is that these players still exist. Nowadays, i will lose 31-0 with 5% possession, and probably pissed off restore to AI matches

I was away from this game mode for 5 years and came back to a completely different monster. Tactics, SBCs and Weekend League were a super different thing to me , i had no idea what they were. I hate what it's become. My tactics i take from the teams in the game. Its gotten me to Elite Division last year and this year im at div 1. I hate running down line so i dont do it. I say all this just to prove a point. YOU DONT HAVE TO PLAY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! Have a mind of your own. Play with cards you like and formations you enjoy.

Back when you could have a pure rare gold team all the way until the last week was so much fun. SBCs killed the game IMO

Do I miss a football game to play by myself or with my friends? Sure.

I don't know if someone remember the good old FIFA World cup mode. You play and no matter what you had an untradable pack. 3 Qualified match, quarter, semi and finals. If you win good, if you don't well you just try again. Sometimes there were good opponents,. Ppl would play it cause it was fun. Sometimes you dominated the game, other times you lost badly. But who cared? You never felt like the game was cheating on you. They just need to remove skill based match matching from every damn mode and people would stop being so toxic.

There should be some mechanism in the game like if a player quits the game intentionally, then they will be temporarily banned from playing division rivals or champions till they play some amount of games in friendlies without quitting. If they decide to quit again and again, the amount of games they should play in friendlies should increase. Free Fire (a mobile game) had done just that. EA should learn or else the fan base is gonna decrease ( it already is)

The three pillars basically sum up every game that has a multiplayer these days (doesn't even need to be competitive). Use overpowered mechanics, play boring aka sweat as hard as u can no matter the stakes (no fun allowed bc everybody thinks they are a streamer) and be toxic af.

In last Fifa's I loved to play more like a Tiki-Taka play style with a lot of passes playing on the center. This year is impossible to do this and I'm forced to play on wings and run and using Rat tactics.
If you're not already, try doing ping passes 95% of the time (RB+A on PC/Xbox). This changed everything for me.

Great video, there is no fun playing FC24 anymore, everyone I face is toxic and rat, always pause the game after each goal, passing the ball in their half for the last 15 minutes of the match, cant even pass in my half because he has 6 players waiting to cut the ball, always has 2 CDMs and defend with the whole team, its even worse in friendly cup event, yet I didnt mention the gatbage gameplay when my defebce cant tackle or stop the ball when am leading ahead by multiple goals.
Bro this last weekend league itself i got a person who quit when i equalized 3-3 in 80th minute... i was soo furious that i went ahead texting nice things to him. And he said "cope dude" i mean he ain't wrong 😂.

The phone call one could be legit though, happens to me sometimes. Also, sometimes my girlfriend plays and her opponents confuse her not being in control of the game which is the case more often than not, unintentionally celebrating, running towards the cam or committing some unintended sh*thousery for being toxic so they become ultra toxic.
People playing this game should also realize that they sometimes play kids, someone’s little brother, son or girlfriend who don’t even do stuff on purpose and think they are entering a game that’s supposed to be fun and that isn’t played by mostly gambling addicts that take it way too seriously. Obviously EA adds to the toxicity, almost every aspect of Ultimate Team is toxic because they simply try to get people to keep playing and to keep paying. P2W aspect is also crazy and it goes beyond being able to afford the best players. As an experiment go make a f2p account and try to get 20-0. It’s impossible. There’s a reason why they don’t fix “inconsistent gameplay” as you guys call it.

I'm part of a few gaming communities and honestly this one is one of the the worst. Mainly bc of the constant messaging. If you feel the need to message someone after a game, you need therapy. Its the biggest sign of immaturity, toxicity, and showing you probably don't have much success in the game nor life. Usually someone messages me, I just report for harassment, block, and go about my day.

There is simple solution to all of this: FUT Champs is meant to be for the best players right? If you consider yourself the best, EA should force use of only FULL MANUAL settings, no assists. Right now the game plays for you. There is no skill involved in playing FIFA/EA FC on assisted controls. Sorry.

The point of UT is to build the best team not to be good or win I would’ve way happier with the game packing Pele than going 20-0 in champs. The actually game in my opinion is boring and more like a chore but the menus is fun no one would play UT if there was no rewards like other games people play to win Fortnite fall guys most games but people play fifa to get better team.

I have a theory why they will never fix the quit on a draw mechanic, lets say if you get the win for the other guy quitting on you that means you don't have to go into another game, which means you will have less time on the game. so the time on the game will drop a lot, then ea cant show their investors how much people "play" the game and how much time they spend on the game
I agree overral but I find it a little hypocritical that you would criticise outfield players for pointless stepovers but defend a goalkeeper for doing the same only because hes a "pro player". People have a right to experience the game the way they want, whether thats an arcade street style goal bonanza or a more realistic simulation. The issue is EA throws both groups into the same pot, thats where I feel the toxicity comes from.

I had a guy yesterday in champs kick the ball back to his gk from kick off. Juggle the ball for 10 ingame minutes and as soon as I got close he booted it out, quit and proceeded to message a bunch of laughing emojis. Only bottom of the barrel tier people play this game unfortunately.

Fc community is so ratty and toxic and the game is stressful, people playing their family for a win, you get matched with players that play like a schizophrenic spamming RB passes, croquetas, going with a fast player all the way through the wing then passing the ball in the middle and tap in. People that everytime you get the ball they spam the offside trap + passing tacting so you will get pressed instantly. Thats not fun. I now understand that people dont play to have fun, they play for not losing. Thats a toxic and immature mindset, the goal of ultimate team is to have fun playing with the favourite players and challeing with other players, tryharding because you cant accept a loss is a meaningless way to play. This game will never change, never, only a new graphics engine could change the gameplay and making it less stressful to play.
