Holy shit, I thought that was just me, The night before yesterday I was on a winning streak keeping clean sheets or only conceding 1 or at max 2, then yesterday night, I'm doing the same shit and I keep conceding 6-7 goals, I put tactics to drop back since I was conceding on the counter and still my CB's would push themselves to beyond half line, This game is fucking ridiculous and I'm glad to find out this this happen to only me.
This so much. On my career I average over 120 passes a game with a 90% completion rate. Quick passes are my strength. When I play online my guys pass it straight to the opposing team. The other player doesn't have to do anything, my guys just pass it straight to them. Even on through balls. I go back to my career and I can pass the ball again. It's so broken online.

Hate to break it to all of you but Fifa is never going to fix their problems. The reason is to maintain extreme dopamine levels. For example, when you go through a “losing streak” you want to see if eventually you’ll win, if you go through a “winning streak” you gamble to see if you can win more. This is to keep players in the game and spend money. It’s scripted

The biggest issue we have as football fans and football game players right now is this... There's no competition. Until there is competition, and I mean real competition, not eFootball competition, we won't see EA make any drastic changes because the truth is, they don't care. They know people will come back every year because there is literally nothing else.
All games have been stagnant since there are no competitions. NHL, MADDEN, NBA LIVE, UFC, even EA SPORTS F1 since F1 22 and LoveLive Rhythm game series on SCHOOL IDOL FESTIVAL 2 MIRACLE LIVE are some of the examples of game being stagnant.

FIFA was always filled with some issues, but it was good. I was always miles ahead of all my friends and my community in FIFA, using ball knowledge, unique and creative technique and ACTUAL football to win. But the game has gone into a Meta haven and I completely spiraled. I have a deep HATE for a game that requires meta to win, that lives on being cheesy. I rather play my football and lose. And that's what I did, my friends would say "I fell off" whilst they just spam and abuse stupid metas every single game. No one seemed to understand that this is a meta simulator with LITERALLY at least 20 issues every game. This game rewards BS, and punishes good football- what? To hell with this game & this company, stopped years now, not worth my time. I would give anything for good gameplay back. Thanks for these man, may we live to see a good FIFA again.

Especially the attacking AI is basically dead without a million different custom tactics loaded into the players and you also have to MANUALLY send players to make a run while worrying about the million defenders that are purely just AI. It's possible to beat the defending AI, but you have to play a specific 'META' way. But really is there even a point to the football in a football game? Might as well call yourself a robot.

I haven’t played Ultimate team for years, it’s a scam. I only play Pro Clubs and this is a manipulated mess. You can feel the scripting dynamic difficult assist helping each team aggressively. Sometimes you’re on the good side of it and all the AI players make great passes, actually tackle, make up runs and the keeper does their job. Our players feel quicker, strong and more responsive. Then you’re on the wrong side and you can feel it happening, your players become sluggish, slow, weak and at time button inputs are ignore entirely. The AI can’t or won’t pass, they allow they play the opponent onside and refuse the tackle, in some occasions they actually move away from the ball to allow the opponent to gain or retain the ball. It’s a joke and frustrating. We continue to play because there is no other competition on the market currently. EA need to remove the scripting and allow us to play the game.
I used to love UT but it got too complicated, unrealistic and the pack rewards were a joke. Ronaldo and Messi don't need 100 cards either. And 'moments'? What kind of a concept is that? Lame excuse for even more cards. Switched to playing more Pro Clubs but they beefed up the defenders and goalkeepers too much, nullified shooting from outside the box (unless you're the opposing team in the first one or two attacks) and that became boring. And I won't even start on the 'woke' stuff.
In my opinion, trying to salvage something like Ultimate Team is lunacy. It's the original sin and there is nothing that can be done to unrotten something that is rotten to the core. Pay to win is an abomination.
Going back to games like Fifa 12,13 and 14 feels like taking a gigantic leap in terms of gameplay enjoyment and quality. If those game had LAN or P2P servers I'm 100% convinced people would still be playing them.
I used to play a lot of FIFA back in the day. Had 500 hours of playing time back in fifa 16 and 17. Stopped playing after 18. Now I saw that the game is free to play on PlayStation. Played it on career mode and noticed how broken it is. Defending became so shit and the momentum side of it is very noticeable. You score and all of the sudden the AI goes into god mode, while the players you don’t control just do what they want.
Totally I think fifa 17 for example was nice if it had gone after in the right direction we could have now a great game but they went the road of the money only making kids happy which invest with parents credit cards

It's so bad that it made me pull the copy of PES 2021 I bought on a whim on clearance from Amazon for €10 three years back and play it for the first time and the gameplay is superior in every way. How does FIFA go from FIFA 15 to what it is now? How has it regressed with time? The FC in FC 24 might as well stand for Fucking Crap at this point as that's exactly what this game is.

If ea actually cared about the competitive scene 1.the scene would be accessible as possible, not locked behind a paywall(cards) The format would use 2v2, 2 people controlling 11 players would require more skill than 1 player controlling 11 players, there would actually be a skill gap if the competitive scene consisted of teams of 2.
2 v 2 would be horrible and would sure as hell not work. Can you imagine the toxicity of your team mates, how many people would never pass to you and would just hog the ball. Also there is obviously a huge skill gap even now. Some people struggle to get Rank V while some people get Rank I without even trying that hard.

I stopped fut on fifa 19 because I was just not able to accept the scripting anymore and the terrible gameplays since then I was on pro clubs played so many games but this year I can’t even play pro clubs anymore it also just sucks way to much
#1 OVERLOOKED PROBLEM The game has always been scripted but if a person had TRUE skill they could still affect the outcome and dominate. Every year the game became more scripted because EA realized the IRONY…. Script the game to its Max because even though the gameplay will be garbage the overall sales will actually increase because 75% of the player base has zero skill. So now the trash people not only do better throughout the game they actually win more and the only people who can see it’s scripted are the better players who are now getting dominated by the trash players. It’s actually genius…. They’re tricking the majority of their player base and reaping the benefits while morons continue to think they’re good at the game and continue to buy. But the main reason why they get away with it is because they know the other part of the player base who can see what’s going on are too weak to not buy the game so they literally don’t lose.
The fact that they can’t optimize the game for pc at high and ultra settings is so disgusting a lot of stuttering even on my RTX 4060 graphics card. It is only playable with medium to low settings on pc😞😞😞
Ive played almost every edition since 07 and im not buying the next one, i lost interest in fut and my favorite mode , career, is even more unplayable than it already was , especially player career with the dumb objectives, that combined with heavy scripting which makes me rage at least once everytime i play made me decide to not waste anymore time and money
I played a match last night, was winning 3-0. Dominant both attacking and defensively. However, in the 85th minute, my defense decided to stop getting the ball when i tackled, leading to them equalizing in the last minute (with who else? TOTS Saint-Max). I am so fucking done with this shit game.

Just so terrible this game, have getting worst year after year skill gap is soooo small in this game, fifa pro players only better in this game because they get directly the super cards and can play for months with these cards and then are ahead of the other people in terms of experience with these players, since most of people only getting them more to the end of fifa.
The issue in career mode is the ai scripts i often scored 4:0 in the first half against a damn australian team and I honestly raged because it ended 4-5 because the AI started making perfect passing tiki taka and even if the players who passed had 64 passing or the guy who scores out of the box 54 long shots. Honestly this didn’t happen in fifa 23 every time i play it makes me have fun not rage moments
I remember when TOTS first came out on FC Mobile, the same UTOTS glitch for exchanges that happened last year repeated itself. 15 mins later, the exchange tab was gone (I missed it). And what did EA do in response to all the backlash on reddit? Give players a free 90-99 OVR TOTS pack. So what EA is saying is the compensation rewards vary in RNG so it's not even fair for anyone.
The copensation ea gave last year was reasonable but this year it wasnt fair i was lucky to get 95 card from it but it should have been a free 96-99 ovr player and fc mobile has a seperate currency for packs in the form of gems which are easy to obtain and the power curve is reasonable this year and there are also better events in mobile than 24. many people should switch over to mobile for the f2p players.

EA needs to do what 2k games did with WWE, when 2k released WWE2k20 it was so bad it was labelled the worst fighting game of all time, then 2k didn’t release WWE2k21 and instead spent an extra year to make sure that the next game would be perfect, and of course it wasn’t, nothing’s perfect, but WWE2k22 was a much better game than WWE2k20 with less glitches, better gameplay, and more game modes, so this is what EA should do.

Seasons are horrible and there are no stakes. There is a reason UT is the only mode that makes EA any money, it’s competitive. People love competitiveness. Also you can’t play seasons with Ronaldinho or the og Ronaldo. Not defending this horrible game but UT is the only mode in it that has potential to be fun.

I enjoy competitive game but only for fighting games, because its pure skill based (1 vs 1, no mistake/help from AI) and has better character/players balancing than any football games (its impossible to win football game with 65 rated team vs 95 rated team, where in fighting game you don't need to use high tier characters to be competitive). Note: its back on personal taste to play which games. Where I personally, can't enjoy football games on competitive scene.
One thing I always found annoying was how fast your defenders were when they were running away from the ball and how slow they are when running towards it. It’s like the game has already chosen a player that must get the ball and it’s impossible for any other player to get it, especially when it’s rolling out of possession
EA24 and Efootball both suffer from the same problem. They are no longer trying to make authentic realistic fun football games. It’s all mass marketing card selling centred and the gameplay is an afterthought
I was a sweater back in time (FIFA 2013-2018), but it was also much fun - then I stopped until 2020 and now I just play casual. No more rage, no weekend league, just rivals, 7 wins and play for fun. I'm still in Div2, what is okay for me, but I don't want that toxic/rage stuff again. The gameplay changes every time and EA let the player win, who they want to win - when you accept this, you still can have fun. I never bought FIFA points btw, just to players picks and dupe exchanges, where I got a ton of good/solid players. I don't think EA will fix this mess in the future, but since I love football and there are no other games/gamemodes like this, I will stuck with FIFA / EA FC.

The most annoying thing is that there's no real alternative to fifa/fc and ea knows it. They know that as long as they are the only game in that genre then they can do whatever the hell they want and people will keep coming back because they have nowhere else to go
i haven’t played fifa since 17, as i was sick of gameplay, lack of innovation and desperation to sell micro transactions. friends bought 24 for my birthday. i cannot describe how stunned i was with the defensive AI and positioning. they had zero sense of urgency, awareness or positioning. i played a couple of hours then quit.
I played PES from PES 3 to PES 2013. I started playing FIFA 13 and played all of them, wining Div. 1 in FUT etc, but it started to get worse and worse and I eventually stopped playing one month after the release of FIFA 23. The game keeps getting more and more unrealistic, with nonsense dribbling and pinball passing, now even women and men mixed teams. Way too many special cards, all players have 90+ pace. Scripting and handicap getting more obvious. Complete trash, nothing like football. Leave it, it's the best thing you can do, go play some actual games that will give you a good time instead of frustration.
I’ve played FIFA since FIFA 98 (I’m 32 now) and I loved FIFA 23, but I got very tired of the gambling issues and the lack of decent players out of packs. In all of my years playing the game, I only ever packed 1 player worth 1mil+ which was TOTY VVD. I decided to boycott EAFC 24 and I’ve not regretted it once, I’ve been really into single player games this last year and this video has just reinforced my decision. One additional thing - weekend league used to make me so grumpy if I didn’t get 14 wins and I really don’t miss that!
I don't see any alternatives ever actually rivaling EA. PES/EFootball is also incredibly predatory and pushes pay 2 win just as much as EA. "GOAL" isn't even remotely in the same category as it won't have any real players and is more arcade-y. The ONLY true "rival" to EAFC now is going to be UFL, except it's been delayed for 2-3 years now and we've barely gotten any word on when it's actually going to be released. Not to mention the marketing of it being an alternative to EAFC is very worrying. I don't like when a game's entire premise is capitalizing on the hate the more popular series gets. Also it's free to play, which is worrying because how are they going to make money? Usually free to play games make their money back through in game purchases. I just don't see how a small studio is going to be able to fund better AI and stability. We're seeing the same thing with XDefiant being an alternative to COD, except it's by Ubisoft lol, so I have no doubts it will be pretty lacklustre.
A big part of FIFA that I don't think gets enough voice is probably career mode. Manager mode, and even worse, Player Career, have been neglected for so long that it's genuinely disgusting at this point. It's pretty clear that all the focus is on their pay-to-win ultimate team mode so I don't get why they just don't make that its own game. They hype career mode up with these new features that sounded good on paper but when the game finally came out, it was just a pile of horse shit. I just want to live out the dream of becoming a professional footballer and EA can't even let me have that. I guess it's time to pirate FIFA 12?
Also on the mechanics that benefit people who abuse them. Tackle spamming is the worst culprit! Some players tackle over 100 times per game and it actually works as even if they don't win the ball they either made your player fall or give wrong passes. Whey EA does not put an stamina penalty if you press tackle multiple times?

Good video but why is no one talking about the menu glitch’s? Literally everyday I play it i just get a menu which freezes, sometimes I go into squad it freezes, or when I go to select a kit it freezes and if I search a player through the market it freezes

The worst thing for me is the insane DDA in every match. You can tell when your about to concede a goal and what your opponent about to do because they all play like bots and just score cut backs but you cant do anything to defend, the ball will just bounce out of 2 or 3 players and then the goalkeeper will just let the ball in. This game is broken
I watched you video on whether fifa should be realistic or arcade type game. I think what makes fifa appealing is that it offers you a taste of professional football without putting in hard work to get it. So to make it completely arcade type game would just take the fun out of it, cuz players would come up with one technique and stick with it and win every time. But having too much realism is also not fun cuz it can very frustrating when you do everything right and your players play like idiots. So I think it should be balanced, but a little more tilted towards realism than ping pong, arcade, predictable playing style.

I played them all from early 2000s as a kid and then from 12 to 19 intensively, and the worst one was 19 which made me quit around April or so and not come back for 2 years. I skipped entire 20 and 21 just due to how bad 19 was. I came back for end of 22 and I liked it. 23 was very good, but very good for Fifa standards which means that it was crap but the best I played lately. And then EAFC came and I know people like to say each interation of the game is the worst but this truly is the worst game I played since I can remember. I quit before January and I cannot believe something like that could EVER happen

They have blatantly been manipulating pack weight at the beginning of promos to generate interest and then dropping the rates behind the scenes all year. They just got caught twice tuning it too far with the TOTS and TOTY messes.

Just so you know, Valo, Tarkov, Halo, DayZ, Forza, CS2 etc are all in the same boat when it comes to their devs hating the community and trying to prey on credit card gamers.

Sometimes I think I’m playing someone on the other end of career mode and nothing will change in the new game

I bought fifa 23 near the end of its game cycle. Played 1 season of career mode and haven’t played it since. Didn’t buy FC24 and it marks the end of the streak of buying every fifa from 16-23. It kept getting worse after fifa 17 and none of us noticed until now
I stopped buying the game after FIFA 22, that game was good when compared to 23 and 24. I lost my passion with every single 100 pound store content that was released. I could use IF Ben Yedder in March and decimate my opponents, because I was a better player and refused to pay real money for a stupid game. Now, you have to spend thousands to get the card you want, because the market is empty when it comes to meta players. EA caused this with all the untradeble packs they gave to players. There are no tradeble meta players to put on the market. There are no fun sbc’s and cards anymore. I used Freeze Marquinhos and Flashback Neymar all year. Now try to do that same thing with -90 cards again, you will lose every game. I am incredibly happy that I didn’t buy 23 and 24. There are no time-worthy cards like Van Bergen and Gravenberch anymore

This so much. On my career I average over 120 passes a game with a 90% completion rate. Quick passes are my strength. When I play online my guys pass it straight to the opposing team. The other player doesn't have to do anything, my guys just pass it straight to them. Even on through balls. I go back to my career and I can pass the ball again. It's so broken online.

Until there is competition, and I mean real competition, not eFootball competition, we won't see EA make any drastic changes because the truth is, they don't care. They know people will come back every year because there is literally nothing else.
All games have been stagnant since there are no competitions. NHL, MADDEN, NBA LIVE, UFC, even EA SPORTS F1 since F1 22 and LoveLive Rhythm game series on SCHOOL IDOL FESTIVAL 2 MIRACLE LIVE are some of the examples of game being stagnant.

This guy is such a voice of truth. Like I've never seen in this BS community. I grew up on FIFA 14, 15, 16 and found my prime in 17 when the game was its BEST... FIFA was always filled with some issues, but it was good. I was always miles ahead of all my friends and my community in FIFA, using ball knowledge, unique and creative technique and ACTUAL football to win. But the game has gone into a Meta haven and I completely spiraled. I have a deep HATE for a game that requires meta to win, that lives on being cheesy. I rather play my football and lose. And that's what I did, my friends would say "I fell off" whilst they just spam and abuse stupid metas every single game. No one seemed to understand that this is a meta simulator with LITERALLY at least 20 issues every game. This game rewards BS, and punishes good football- what? To hell with this game & this company, stopped years now, not worth my time. I would give anything for good gameplay back.

Especially the attacking AI is basically dead without a million different custom tactics loaded into the players and you also have to MANUALLY send players to make a run while worrying about the million defenders that are purely just AI.
It's possible to beat the defending AI, but you have to play a specific 'META' way. But really is there even a point to the football in a football game? Might as well call yourself a robot.

I only play Pro Clubs and this is a manipulated mess. You can feel the scripting dynamic difficult assist helping each team aggressively. Sometimes you’re on the good side of it and all the AI players make great passes, actually tackle, make up runs and the keeper does their job. Our players feel quicker, strong and more responsive.
Then you’re on the wrong side and you can feel it happening, your players become sluggish, slow, weak and at time button inputs are ignore entirely. The AI can’t or won’t pass, they allow they play the opponent onside and refuse the tackle, in some occasions they actually move away from the ball to allow the opponent to gain or retain the ball.
It’s a joke and frustrating. We continue to play because there is no other competition on the market currently.
EA need to remove the scripting and allow us to play the game.
I used to love UT but it got too complicated, unrealistic and the pack rewards were a joke. Ronaldo and Messi don't need 100 cards either. And 'moments'? What kind of a concept is that? Lame excuse for even more cards.
Switched to playing more Pro Clubs but they beefed up the defenders and goalkeepers too much, nullified shooting from outside the box (unless you're the opposing team in the first one or two attacks) and that became boring. And I won't even start on the 'woke' stuff.
This game is only running down the line , corner glitch, bounceback and cutback simulator, no skill required, there is no space in middle

In my opinion, trying to salvage something like Ultimate Team is lunacy. It's the original sin and there is nothing that can be done to unrotten something that is rotten to the core. Pay to win is an abomination.
Going back to games like Fifa 12,13 and 14 feels like taking a gigantic leap in terms of gameplay enjoyment and quality. If those game had LAN or P2P servers I'm 100% convinced people would still be playing them.
Even FIFA 06 PS2 and FIFA 07 GBA are way more fun to play unlike FIFA 18 to FC 24.
FIFA 12 was the last great title of this series. 14 was the last good one. Every one since has been a nightmare!

I used to play a lot of FIFA back in the day. Had 500 hours of playing time back in fifa 16 and 17. Stopped playing after 18. Now I saw that the game is free to play on PlayStation. Played it on career mode and noticed how broken it is. Defending became so shit and the momentum side of it is very noticeable. You score and all of the sudden the AI goes into god mode, while the players you don’t control just do what they want.

Words can't describe how much I hate the gameplay in this game. It's so bad that it made me pull the copy of PES 2021 I bought on a whim on clearance from Amazon for €10 three years back and play it for the first time and the gameplay is superior in every way. How does FIFA go from FIFA 15 to what it is now? How has it regressed with time? The FC in FC 24 might as well stand for Fucking Crap at this point as that's exactly what this game is.

The format would use 2v2, 2 people controlling 11 players would require more skill than 1 player controlling 11 players, there would actually be a skill gap if the competitive scene consisted of teams of 2.
2 v 2 would be horrible and would sure as hell not work. Can you imagine the toxicity of your team mates, how many people would never pass to you and would just hog the ball. Also there is obviously a huge skill gap even now. Some people struggle to get Rank V while some people get Rank I without even trying that hard.

#1 OVERLOOKED PROBLEM
The game has always been scripted but if a person had TRUE skill they could still affect the outcome and dominate. Every year the game became more scripted because EA realized the IRONY…. Script the game to its Max because even though the gameplay will be garbage the overall sales will actually increase because 75% of the player base has zero skill. So now the trash people not only do better throughout the game they actually win more and the only people who can see it’s scripted are the better players who are now getting dominated by the trash players. It’s actually genius…. They’re tricking the majority of their player base and reaping the benefits while morons continue to think they’re good at the game and continue to buy. But the main reason why they get away with it is because they know the other part of the player base who can see what’s going on are too weak to not buy the game so they literally don’t lose.
I quit in december and it's the earliest I ever quit. This video popped up in my feed and I literally forgot the game exists, that's how bad it was.
The fact that they can’t optimize the game for pc at high and ultra settings is so disgusting a lot of stuttering even on my RTX 4060 graphics card. It is only playable with medium to low settings on pc😞😞😞

I played a match last night, was winning 3-0. Dominant both attacking and defensively. However, in the 85th minute, my defense decided to stop getting the ball when i tackled, leading to them equalizing in the last minute (with who else? TOTS Saint-Max). I am so fucking done with this shit game.

The issue in career mode is the ai scripts i often scored 4:0 in the first half against a damn australian team and I honestly raged because it ended 4-5 because the AI started making perfect passing tiki taka and even if the players who passed had 64 passing or the guy who scores out of the box 54 long shots. Honestly this didn’t happen in fifa 23 every time i play it makes me have fun not rage moments
I remember when TOTS first came out on FC Mobile, the same UTOTS glitch for exchanges that happened last year repeated itself. 15 mins later, the exchange tab was gone (I missed it). And what did EA do in response to all the backlash on reddit? Give players a free 90-99 OVR TOTS pack. So what EA is saying is the compensation rewards vary in RNG so it's not even fair for anyone.
The copensation ea gave last year was reasonable but this year it wasnt fair i was lucky to get 95 card from it but it should have been a free 96-99 ovr player and fc mobile has a seperate currency for packs in the form of gems which are easy to obtain and the power curve is reasonable this year and there are also better events in mobile than 24. many people should switch over to mobile for the f2p players.

EA needs to do what 2k games did with WWE, when 2k released WWE2k20 it was so bad it was labelled the worst fighting game of all time, then 2k didn’t release WWE2k21 and instead spent an extra year to make sure that the next game would be perfect, and of course it wasn’t, nothing’s perfect, but WWE2k22 was a much better game than WWE2k20 with less glitches, better gameplay, and more game modes, so this is what EA should do.

Seasons are horrible and there are no stakes. There is a reason UT is the only mode that makes EA any money, it’s competitive. People love competitiveness. Also you can’t play seasons with Ronaldinho or the og Ronaldo. Not defending this horrible game but UT is the only mode in it that has potential to be fun.

I enjoy competitive game but only for fighting games, because its pure skill based (1 vs 1, no mistake/help from AI) and has better character/players balancing than any football games (its impossible to win football game with 65 rated team vs 95 rated team, where in fighting game you don't need to use high tier characters to be competitive).
Note: its back on personal taste to play which games. Where I personally, can't enjoy football games on competitive scene.
One thing I always found annoying was how fast your defenders were when they were running away from the ball and how slow they are when running towards it. It’s like the game has already chosen a player that must get the ball and it’s impossible for any other player to get it, especially when it’s rolling out of possession
EA24 and Efootball both suffer from the same problem. They are no longer trying to make authentic realistic fun football games. It’s all mass marketing card selling centred and the gameplay is an afterthought
I was a sweater back in time (FIFA 2013-2018), but it was also much fun - then I stopped until 2020 and now I just play casual. No more rage, no weekend league, just rivals, 7 wins and play for fun. I'm still in Div2, what is okay for me, but I don't want that toxic/rage stuff again. The gameplay changes every time and EA let the player win, who they want to win - when you accept this, you still can have fun. I never bought FIFA points btw, just to players picks and dupe exchanges, where I got a ton of good/solid players. I don't think EA will fix this mess in the future, but since I love football and there are no other games/gamemodes like this, I will stuck with FIFA / EA FC.

Even career mode is awful to play sometimes. they only care about the cash they could get...
Of course career mode isnt beeing improved because it doesnt make them money :/ i mean they literally added one single new feature to that mode and it didnt even work properly on release😂 also the straight up copy pasted this mode for the past 4 years because theres still the exact same bugs like there was in career mode fifa 20

The most annoying thing is that there's no real alternative to fifa/fc and ea knows it. They know that as long as they are the only game in that genre then they can do whatever the hell they want and people will keep coming back because they have nowhere else to go
Just downloaded pes 2021 after playing fifa since 2018. All I can say is I will never play fifa again
i haven’t played fifa since 17, as i was sick of gameplay, lack of innovation and desperation to sell micro transactions. friends bought 24 for my birthday. i cannot describe how stunned i was with the defensive AI and positioning. they had zero sense of urgency, awareness or positioning. i played a couple of hours then quit.
I played PES from PES 3 to PES 2013. I started playing FIFA 13 and played all of them, wining Div. 1 in FUT etc, but it started to get worse and worse and I eventually stopped playing one month after the release of FIFA 23. The game keeps getting more and more unrealistic, with nonsense dribbling and pinball passing, now even women and men mixed teams. Way too many special cards, all players have 90+ pace. Scripting and handicap getting more obvious. Complete trash, nothing like football. Leave it, it's the best thing you can do, go play some actual games that will give you a good time instead of frustration.
I’ve played FIFA since FIFA 98 (I’m 32 now) and I loved FIFA 23, but I got very tired of the gambling issues and the lack of decent players out of packs. In all of my years playing the game, I only ever packed 1 player worth 1mil+ which was TOTY VVD. I decided to boycott EAFC 24 and I’ve not regretted it once, I’ve been really into single player games this last year and this video has just reinforced my decision. One additional thing - weekend league used to make me so grumpy if I didn’t get 14 wins and I really don’t miss that!
I don't see any alternatives ever actually rivaling EA. PES/EFootball is also incredibly predatory and pushes pay 2 win just as much as EA. "GOAL" isn't even remotely in the same category as it won't have any real players and is more arcade-y.
The ONLY true "rival" to EAFC now is going to be UFL, except it's been delayed for 2-3 years now and we've barely gotten any word on when it's actually going to be released. Not to mention the marketing of it being an alternative to EAFC is very worrying. I don't like when a game's entire premise is capitalizing on the hate the more popular series gets. Also it's free to play, which is worrying because how are they going to make money? Usually free to play games make their money back through in game purchases. I just don't see how a small studio is going to be able to fund better AI and stability.
We're seeing the same thing with XDefiant being an alternative to COD, except it's by Ubisoft lol, so I have no doubts it will be pretty lacklustre.

A big part of FIFA that I don't think gets enough voice is probably career mode. Manager mode, and even worse, Player Career, have been neglected for so long that it's genuinely disgusting at this point. It's pretty clear that all the focus is on their pay-to-win ultimate team mode so I don't get why they just don't make that its own game. They hype career mode up with these new features that sounded good on paper but when the game finally came out, it was just a pile of horse shit. I just want to live out the dream of becoming a professional footballer and EA can't even let me have that.

Also on the mechanics that benefit people who abuse them. Tackle spamming is the worst culprit! Some players tackle over 100 times per game and it actually works as even if they don't win the ball they either made your player fall or give wrong passes. Whey EA does not put an stamina penalty if you press tackle multiple times?

I first started playing FIFA when 21 came out to get away from Madden, but after these couple of years I can honestly say Madden is better and that's saying a lot

I remember when EA FIFA was more realistic every year, I haven't played it for years because it seems worse and worse, it almost seems like a Disney Pixar game, the players run in a very unrealistic way, they pass backwards, they are slow, every maybe it's worse!!!! I remember the good pro evolution, I think that PES 21 with mods is the definitive soccer video game, if you like something more arcade I would recommend Pes 2008, 2013, and choosing Fifa perhaps a Fifa 17 or Fifa 14 🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾
Good video but why is no one talking about the menu glitch’s? Literally everyday I play it i just get a menu which freezes, sometimes I go into squad it freezes, or when I go to select a kit it freezes and if I search a player through the market it freezes

The worst thing for me is the insane DDA in every match. You can tell when your about to concede a goal and what your opponent about to do because they all play like bots and just score cut backs but you cant do anything to defend, the ball will just bounce out of 2 or 3 players and then the goalkeeper will just let the ball in. This game is broken
and yet middle schoolers will still say its peak 🤦♂
I watched you video on whether fifa should be realistic or arcade type game.
I think what makes fifa appealing is that it offers you a taste of professional football without putting in hard work to get it.
So to make it completely arcade type game would just take the fun out of it, cuz players would come up with one technique and stick with it and win every time.
But having too much realism is also not fun cuz it can very frustrating when you do everything right and your players play like idiots.
So I think it should be balanced, but a little more tilted towards realism than ping pong, arcade, predictable playing style.
You are absolutely spot on. I played them all from early 2000s as a kid and then from 12 to 19 intensively, and the worst one was 19 which made me quit around April or so and not come back for 2 years. I skipped entire 20 and 21 just due to how bad 19 was. I came back for end of 22 and I liked it. 23 was very good, but very good for Fifa standards which means that it was crap but the best I played lately.
And then EAFC came and I know people like to say each interation of the game is the worst but this truly is the worst game I played since I can remember. I quit before January and I cannot believe something like that could EVER happen

Ima be honest, the algorithm brought me back to the FIFA corner of TH-cam with this video after like 5 years. I quit back in 2018ish, haven’t looked back, haven’t given EA money since. That’s what it’s gonna take to fix this game. It’s been this way since FUT was introduced and will continue as long as they keep making money off packs. I was hoping to see videos saying FIFA has gotten better but, seems like nothing has changed…
They have blatantly been manipulating pack weight at the beginning of promos to generate interest and then dropping the rates behind the scenes all year. They just got caught twice tuning it too far with the TOTS and TOTY messes.

The manipulation is so blatant this time around than it has been on previous releases. Everything is designed to push people towards the store and make them part with their cash. Pretty sickening when you think about it when gambling is such a concerning issue and then you have impressionable young kids being tempted. EA should show more responsibility.

Unlike most people that hate fifa, i swapped to pes. Eafc was rhebfirst fifa i gotbinbyears (thanks to ps mobthly games) and i honestly feel like it's the best fifa in years...but the defence is none existent

jesus fuck, im an escape from tarkov gamer, and i decided to played FC24 because of cloud streaming, i didn't think a game/community could get worse - turns out I'm wrong lmao. Just so you know, Valo, Tarkov, Halo, DayZ, Forza, CS2 etc are all in the same boat when it comes to their devs hating the community and trying to prey on credit card gamers.
Goalkeepers can’t save/catch can’t change players without it changing to someone on the opposite side of the pitch all formations feel the same defenders don’t defend wingers don’t make runs there’s no pre match anything the ai is either horrible or prime barca and there’s no inbetween and the cheating is so so bad if the ai want the ball they’ll get it if they score they’ll score there’s no skill in this game any more and even when your indicator is shown to have the shot on target the ball still ends up wide? Sometimes I think I’m playing someone on the other end of career mode and nothing will change in the new game

i never played ultimat team in my life so gave it a shot open some packs dont know from where they came and receveid good players and fast i tought nice nice. then played with a dudde his players were like cyborgs didnt finish the game and never played again
Just bought it for 14€ to play an offline match here and there if I'm bored - actually I'm very happy with the game so far (played 3 hours so far, never had any Fifa besides 12 for the nintendo

I bought fifa 23 near the end of its game cycle. Played 1 season of career mode and haven’t played it since. Didn’t buy FC24 and it marks the end of the streak of buying every fifa from 16-23. It kept getting worse after fifa 17 and none of us noticed until now

I stopped buying the game after FIFA 22, that game was good when compared to 23 and 24. I lost my passion with every single 100 pound store content that was released. I could use IF Ben Yedder in March and decimate my opponents, because I was a better player and refused to pay real money for a stupid game. Now, you have to spend thousands to get the card you want, because the market is empty when it comes to meta players. EA caused this with all the untradeble packs they gave to players. There are no tradeble meta players to put on the market. There are no fun sbc’s and cards anymore. I used Freeze Marquinhos and Flashback Neymar all year. Now try to do that same thing with -90 cards again, you will lose every game. I am incredibly happy that I didn’t buy 23 and 24. There are no time-worthy cards like Van Bergen and Gravenberch anymore
