Cao Ren always gets overshadowed by Cao Cao, often being treated as a guard dog. Im glad that with Cao Cao fleeing from Chibi, Cao Ren got his time to display his general characteristics that showcased he wasn't all taunt and no teeth.
I had no idea I was going to enjoy this series so much. Growing up, I was always a Wu fan and enjoyed Lu Meng’s increased INT stat in the RoTK games, but I’ve never heard that idiom before and I really like it.
Hey ST! Great informative video as always! I hope in the future you’ll do more videos on lesser known generals of the 3K era like how you did for Qian Zhao and Zhang Ni
I wonder why Cao Cao never force the emperor to declare Sun Quan and Liu Bei traitor, I imagine it can cause quite a few of their subordinates to betray them.
At this point in time, everyone's true allegiance was very much evident, Sun Quan and Liu Bei were operating years without any official title that allowed them to command the armies they eventually did. Branding them traitors will only give them the incentive to become actual rebels, not to mention show everyone at court what Cao Cao's true colours were. There was really no benefit and many negatives.
@@NP3GAyou say at this point in time everyone’s loyalties had become mostly apparent, yet having Cao Cao make the Emperor officially declare Liu Bei & Sun Quan as traitors would expose Cao Cao’s “true colours”, can you please expand more on that? what do you mean by Cao Cao exposing himself when everyone already has their loyalties set? can you also please explain more on the legal ramifications of having Liu Bei & Sun Quan be officially declared as traitors? what would be the implications if both Liu Bei & Sun Quan were to actually rebel in the legal/technical sense? Thank you very much!
A compilation of arrogance, depression over losing two sons, a very sad state of affairs inside the court and his infatuation with his latest concubine.
4:39 you can almost hear the Wu officers yell DADOUDOU after this line.

Dispite the arrow from Cao Ren unit, I still can hear Gongjin complaining to the heaven about sharing life under one sky with Kongming.
Wow changed my opinion of Cao Ren! What a hero! Yay Lu Su makes an appearance!
I love Lu Meng, Lu Su and Lu Xun ; in the 2010 show I always rewatch their scenes

Absolutely brilliant and inspirational that Lu Meng transformation.
The unique skill Lu Su has in Rot3K VIII accurately matches his tasks well when he succeeded Zhou Yu as Dadudu and Nanjun taishou
I hope you do series about Zhang fei , because he is the least known of the three brothers, and my favorite character of all the three kingdoms period
Allegedly a man of the arts and poetry

Great work as always, ST! Love your presentation and attention to the details. 😊
At times I feel like Cao Ren has plot armor lol

Only warriors game about Cao Ren's rescue action was 4 Xtreme Legends.
Wonder what the “what if scenario” be if Sun Quan went along with conquering Liu Zhang. Would that have put Liu Bei at odds earlier?
what happend to Quan he was such a good lord
Alcohol is bad for your braincells

could you PLEASE make a lore series about the wu court as a whole? id love to watch that but cant find sources!
Not sure what you mean by the Wu court as a whole
@@SeriousTriviahe means a full accounting of the 東吳 Imperial Court, workings and all.
Interestingly enough, peicing the story together via individual biographies is how Chinese scholars pieced together much of history during this era.
@@Killerbee4712 yep. And only the Shu Dynasty seemed the most challenging from what I understand, because they had no official archivist/historian.
@@Sylnir Chen Shou bruh
I was a hater to cao ren , but now still hate him but not that much😂
