What some casual fans don’t understand is that when you’re a top tier program such as Alabama, making it to the CFB semifinals is not something you celebrate. It’s championship or bust. This is the best Michigan team since 97". Former players and some fans have known this since before the season. I tried to tell people this but they though it was the soft schedule. No! They are a veteran team (40 seniors) that has been using the Baltimore Ravens defense since 2021 when John loaned Jim his defensive coordinator (Mike McDonald) for a year and then sent the man who replaced his coordinator (Jesse Minter) to Michigan the next season. By the way these two coordinators stay in constant contact throughout the season.

Matt, as a college football fan it was one of the best football games I have ever watched. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the fourth quarter and overtime. That Michigan Defense Line was elite. My gut told me when Corum scored that touchdown in overtime, the way he did it gave me memories of his touchdown against OSU the play after Zinter got hurt.

Bad snap messed the timing of the play up. It was a terrible play call since Michigan had stacked the box expecting just that. A quick out like the pass to Metchie in the iron bowl a few years ago would be what I would call.
Milroe has had so many mental errors this year, I immediately assumed that he did not hit the hole that he was suppose to. Great athlete, but he just doesn’t have the head for QB.

If they had won you would not be complaining, you would be talking about how great the game was. Funny, when the line blocks and the plays work people think the play calling is good but as soon as the player do not execute you blame it on the coach.

You actually gave credit to the opponents for some of their successes during the game (not just after the game) which is rare these days. The game could have gone either way, and while you were saying “o feel like Bama is going to lose, I was saying “I feel like Michigan is going to lose.” I hope your players can get past the disappointment and soon feel pride in a their performance. A really interesting thing about watching an opposing fan react is that you noticed every Alabama miscue and I often didn’t. On the other hand I was going out of my mind about Michigan’s muffed catches, unnecessary penalties, and missed kicks. It’s tough to be a fan in a big game that is close. Thanks for sharing.

Rodemaker would have been overwhelmed by Michigan's defense. This has to be the best defensive line I've seen in maybe 5 to 10 years. The last one is that 2018 Clemson team that really sticks out.

Bama fan here. Michigan flat out played better and coached a better game than us. In the beginning Bama went away from the run after Jase's 1st TD, not sure why. We should have dis what Michigan did early on and kept the run established. They dominates both sides of the LOS until the 2nd half when Bama started stuffing the run. Defense was letting the WRs get free releases and not pressing the WRs or disrupting their timing. And at some times Milroe got too cute with it. That possession where he fumbled the ball on the scramble really hurt us. I should be angrier because I've been saying Michigan was overrated all year, but I guess not. Hats off to em! Damn good game overall!

This is the best Michigan team since 97". Former players and some fans have known this since before the season. I tried to tell people this but they though it was the soft schedule. No! They are a veteran team (40 seniors) that has been using the Baltimore Ravens defense since 2021 when John loaned Jim his defensive coordinator (Mike McDonald) for a year and then sent the man who replaced his coordinator (Jesse Minter) to Michigan the next season. By the way these two coordinators stay in constant contact throughout the season.

Matt, as a college football fan it was one of the best football games I have ever watched. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the fourth quarter and overtime. That Michigan Defense Line was elite. My gut told me when Corum scored that touchdown in overtime, the way he did it gave me memories of his touchdown against OSU the play after Zinter got hurt.

Bad snap messed the timing of the play up. It was a terrible play call since Michigan had stacked the box expecting just that. A quick out like the pass to Metchie in the iron bowl a few years ago would be what I would call.
Milroe has had so many mental errors this year, I immediately assumed that he did not hit the hole that he was suppose to. Great athlete, but he just doesn’t have the head for QB.

his pay calling and offense had us up by 7 until the last 1:40 of the game. He can only call the plays not line block, run the ball, and play quarterback. If they had won you would not be complaining, you would be talking about how great the game was. Funny, when the line blocks and the plays work people think the play calling is good but as soon as the player do not execute you blame it on the coach.

You actually gave credit to the opponents for some of their successes during the game (not just after the game) which is rare these days. The game could have gone either way, and while you were saying “o feel like Bama is going to lose, I was saying “I feel like Michigan is going to lose.” I hope your players can get past the disappointment and soon feel pride in a their performance. A really interesting thing about watching an opposing fan react is that you noticed every Alabama miscue and I often didn’t. On the other hand I was going out of my mind about Michigan’s muffed catches, unnecessary penalties, and missed kicks. It’s tough to be a fan in a big game that is close. Thanks for sharing.

Rodemaker would have been overwhelmed by Michigan's defense. This has to be the best defensive line I've seen in maybe 5 to 10 years. The last one is that 2018 Clemson team that really sticks out.

Bama fan here. Michigan flat out played better and coached a better game than us. In the beginning Bama went away from the run after Jase's 1st TD, not sure why. We should have dis what Michigan did early on and kept the run established. They dominates both sides of the LOS until the 2nd half when Bama started stuffing the run. Defense was letting the WRs get free releases and not pressing the WRs or disrupting their timing. And at some times Milroe got too cute with it. That possession where he fumbled the ball on the scramble really hurt us. I should be angrier because I've been saying Michigan was overrated all year, but I guess not. Hats off to em! Damn good game overall!

The CFP argued that FSU's 2nd/3rd string backup QB situation would make for a shitty game and thus undeserving of making the playoff. So Bama's STARTER promptly went out and threw for only 116 yards with a full complement of teammates. Outstanding result in my humble opinion! 🙂🙂🙂
