He compares a fully loaded genesis to a mid level Lincoln... not a fair comparison at all. The lincoln is over 10k less, of course its gonna have a few less features.
Good review. But not really a fair one. Of course the GV80 is better. It's a more expensive, more luxurious RWD architecture rig. A better matchup would've had the Aviator here.
Yes, but no. They're both midsized crossovers. Comes down to the consumer. Some may want RWD, or some may not even notice or have a care at all RWD vs FWD architecture.
Agreed I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. It looks like the genesis is 80+ and you can get a fairly loaded Nautilis 2025 for the high 60s. 20 grand matters. As others have commented they should’ve compared it to the aviator. I don’t think the bias of rear wheel versus all-wheel-drive is the defining factor. Price is.
@@markcooper7842 Exactly. I bought a loaded Nautilus Reserve with upgraded wheels for a list of $65k - and got a $6k discount down to $59k. OF COURSE an $80k car is going to win in a comparison. This whole review is pretty ridiculous.
Lincoln as a brand seems/feels more established, even though they are again pushing for a new image. I love the designs of both of these cars, and would be stressed to pick one over the other.
I've said it for a while...Lincoln is all show but no substance. For a Ford product, reliability is mediocre. This SUV (and the brand) have little value. Genesis is what Lexus was 30+ years ago. They bring a full plate to dinner why Lincoln offers a sub sandwich and some chips. The only thing in question for the Genesis brand is reliability. They've improved a bit since 2019, but still behind Acura (which has dropped a few pegs the past few years). I'm team Genesis.
If I’m being honest, every Lincoln still has a ford dynamic feel to it besides navigator. Genesis is boat loads softer and more comfortable than Hyundai … same with caddy an Chevy/ Infiniti an Nissan. Ford is messing up somehow
Yeah I'm team Genesis. They need to work on their engine efficiency and beyyer reliability. They reliability part has improved for sure. Genesis reminds me of Lexus due to the path they are going. But in some cases they are outdoing Lexus and have out done Lexus when Lexus was coming up. As if now when I think of sport luxury believe it or not I think of Genesis. Even with their reliability not being on par with Lexus and efficiency not on par with the Germans, I'd pick owning a Genesis over a Lexus. It's just more of my taste. But when it comes to performance I'd go with BMW.
@@jockboy it’s been said since forever because it’s true … the only Lincoln’s that don’t feel like a ford are the nautilus, aviator, navigator … otherwise it feels or felt like a ford product in my opinion
Great content as always. I feel the GV80 is often underappreciated and overlooked in this segment. As an aside, whatever your training routine is, it's working for you Cliff.
If you want luxury interior which includes things like premium materials, better sound dampening that’s what the black label trim is for… so not testing a black label isn’t a direct comparison. if you want something that’s your average more run of the mill interior you go for the lower trims for Lincoln.
nobody else gonna say it so I’m gonna say it the Lincoln nautilus is the girl that will make it through life based on her looks an I’m gonna be the one who fall for it😂… looks so good despite her flaws
Everyone that reviews the Lincoln come away very impressed i like the look inside and outside on the Lincoln i know everyone is riding Genesis tip right they can't do know wrong at the moment
The Lincoln Aviator would be a better comparison especially considering the RWD biased platform. The Nautilus should have never lost the 2.7 twin turbo V6. I'd rather have the 2023 version with the V6 and basic layout. I'm not a fan of the extra electronics that's just distracting rather then helping with anything substantial. So find a good low mileage 2022-23 model especially the black label with the aforementioned motor.
if it was my money i would go for the lincoln because it looks much better than that superman front end genesis. number 2 the nautilus gas mileage is way better than the gv80. theres two things people look for when buying cars. looks and gas mileage. just my two cents
Y'all must be on the genesis payroll gv80 don't compete against the nautilus it goes against the aviator and then y'all didn't even have the fully loaded one that's unfair lol
A whole lot of personal opinions here relating to looks, noise, the smell, etcetera. Keep in mind there's $10,000 separating these cars. I owned a Hyundai once. I'll never do it again
@@jockboyok sorry but have you seen what the Chinese make these days? Why is it American Big 3 have been routed by Chinese companies because their products are uncompetitive and are overpriced.

The comparison here is absolutely ridiculous.
Nautilus exterior looks soooo good. Kind of wild I like it more than Genesis but Lincoln nailed that
Gv80 all day. Nautilus looks great though.
G80 should be compare with the Aviator. NOT the Nautilus. They're in different class.

Both are exceptional but gv80 gets the win
For sure! Love the new Lincoln products too! But this fwd Nautilus isn't up to the GV80's level. Should've had the Aviator. Better matchup.
not a equal comparison u should have a black label lincoln against a prestige gv80
The same outcome... I own a GV80 Prestige & was considering trading it for a Nautilus Blk Label until I drove it... I'm sticking with my Genesis 😊
The correct outcome. Genesis is in a different league above the Lincoln.
Except the Genesis costs A LOT more than the Lincoln. This comparison doesn't work for me.
@ and it’s worth every penny of it and everyone can see why.
So you tested the mid trim Lincoln with the top trim Genesis 🤔
Price
Lincoln as a brand seems/feels more established, even though they are again pushing for a new image. I love the designs of both of these cars, and would be stressed to pick one over the other.
Genesis all the way here!!!
This isn't a good comparison. The nautilus is on the gv70 level, while the aviator is on the gv80 level

This is such an unfair comparison. The Nautilus is comparable to t)3 GV70 while t)3 GV80 would be more comparable to an Aviator.
I'd definitely go with the Genesis, and I'd get the coupe for sure. My next vehicle!
GV70 vs Nautilus is correct 😊🎉

the Lincoln Black Label interior is more luxurious
Nautilus is far superior. Test drove both and Nautilus was far more responsive. .
In terms of looks, slam dunk win for Nautilus.
Both are beautiful vehicles. Personally, I’d go with the Lincoln Nautilus.
Just an FYI, Genesis is marketed as a Luxury SUV, not sport/ performance vehicle.
Genesis is on another level ! You should've compared it with luxury German cars.
So proud to be korean lol gogogo GV80

I would rather have the BMW X5 over either of these SUV's.
Also, the Lincoln is Chinese made. It's a shame they refuse to build this car in the US.
Question why was this vid so long after the 5 min .?
I would buy the Lincoln over the Genesis. The resale in Genesis is horrible, and I protect buy an American car over Korean!
You mean you prefer a Chinese car over a Korean car.
Yeah. Good luck finding ANYTHING American. Even the “Buick Envista” is Korean.
american cars are just garbage
A Chinese Lincoln does not convince me at all. Sure feels like it based on this review.
