I'm 77 and bought a Reserve 2 (not hybrid). I love the screen and the high tech. I have made several 500 to 700 mile trips and average 30.8 MPG at 75 MPH. The Blue Cruise is wonderful while cruising on the Interstate. You are monitored and have to watch the road or it will take out the self-driving. I'm averaging 26 MPG over 7200 miles with more weight to 50 miles than around town driving. It's quiet, runs Apple CarPlay which I like, but also has Google and Alexa. It's a very luxurious vehicle.

I'm 76 and tech doesn't scare me but I don't want to go digging for ventilation/other settings while driving here in Florida! The Lincoln brand has been plagued with many issues in the past so I'm waiting for the 25/26 Hyundai Palisade hybrid and hopefully the PHEV! I loved the past Palisade that I owned. You guys do great reviews and are very much appreciated!

I am 70 and also have a Palisade. I might wait as well as I would definitely be more interested in a hybrid or PHEV Palisade or Telluride. This Nautilus only gets 31 mpg which is not nearly good enough. The RX gets 37 mpg which is way better.

I personally would take out the HUGE LEXUS TX and go with a 2024 Audi Q5 55 TFSI e, premium plus, with the Warm weather package (sport seats and ventilated) and the convenience package and black optic. It might be shorter than these (except the Volvo), most comfortable seats I ever sat in, including the Q8 I own, but at 362 HP, 369 lbs/feet, it's a bullet. And I am an above average height and shoulders. And with 32-34 combined mpg to boot in 90+ degrees Carolinas summer so far. Plus 25 electric miles in case you drive around town only. I bought it as a dare me birthday gift but it turned out to be fun daily driver.

Enjoyable review as always - thank you! I was wondering if you could address reliability. You did make a statement in terms of adjusting the air vents as a likely problem in the future, which is what I fear. I currently have a 2022 Lexus RX 450hl (6 cylinder hybrid), but love the class, luxury, elegance and advanced tech in the new Nautilus. But, my worry is that I would be trading in a trouble-free (so far) reliable vehicle for one with questionable reliability. Am I worrying unnecessarily, or do you think I should stick with the proven winner?

I believe it has to do with US regulations. The turn signal has to be a certain brightness, and only the first light in the sequence is counted. So in the Audi the first part that illuminates must meet that requirement and then the rest of the sequence just follows.

Tested one a couple days ago. Reserve but without upgrades. I liked the performance and looks but the vents and other things that need to be set through the touch screen are too much! We will opt for a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Poorer fuel economy but way more comfort and luxury for a lot less money. The Kia or Hyundai lane centering works without cruise control and is spot on. The Lincoln blue cruise is pretty much useless in most of Canada.

Nautilus gets the NHTSA Top Safety Pick+ rating, Gen 5 (started in 2023) Lexus RX doesn't.
Concerning reliability, the Gen 5 RX has had more than its fair share of ongoing issues. Battery discharge problems with the hybrids, transmission issues with the 500, general fit/finish items that still are popping up, still miserable parts availability after being in the US two years, others. Nautilus hasn't been problem-free by any means, but they seem to be working through things (fixing hardware issues, releasing software updates [faster than Lexus has for the RX], etc.).
I've driven RX since introduction of the RX 300, 5 of that series, have been hanging onto my current Gen 4. I'm certainly not a Lexus hater, but their latest round of new products doesn't live up to their long time reputation, expect to switch brands next year.

Glc hybrid haven’t came out yet. X3 phev isn’t in this category. X3 phev is a 44k good value car. It’s cheaper than a rav 4 prime hybrid (56k). And also the competitor to the 44k x3 phev is the q5 phev, which the q5 starts at 98k 💀

The GLC PHEV is not available yet. You can get a BMW X3 PHEV in Canada but it's no longer available in the US. BMW just announced a new X3, not sure I love the look. I will have to wait to see it in person.

@@andreaspencer9813 yea I saw the new x3. I’m a bmw driver not loving the new look too. The old x3 is a great car being only 44k super affordable and good value. My 2022 m5 comp started having issues like the sunroof getting stuck, infotainment system lagging, and ac only blowing air not cold air. I looked in getting an amg GT 63 4 door but I don’t like the interior, I prefer the new c class e class interior. RS models are out of my budget. I already have a 2024 cayenne s hybrid pebble grey so don’t want Porsche. I’m thinking about new m5 but can’t get past the front. Do u have any other recommendations?

A lot of the ventilation-related controls, including seat hearing/ventilation, can be done by the driver using voice commands. Last I knew you couldn't set the vents to motion mode (moving the air back and forth), though they may have updated that in the latest software (just rolling out now).
