Dang! Stores are going to have to stock all these bottles in tents. Shelves are saturated with stuff that is not selling. They need to stop the madness with all these bottles. It’s adding glut. My local big box has so many clearance bottles. That just cheapens the brands. IMHO. Thanks for all the info!
That’s what I was thinking; how are there that many different brands already there, and then four roses potentially bringing 10+ versions to the game?? It’ll be interesting to see how they plan to implement all the recipes as well as the NEW recipes they are adding. Just wild
Yep I mentioned that in a previous video, forgot to even mention them in this one. That’s so many potentially new bottles I don’t even know how they’ll do it.
Dang I didn’t even see that! Probably with filming videos at midnight. Oh well, I got it mostly right hahaha. Just more wheat in it than corn, I’ll take it!
Here's what I'm worried about with the Four Roses. Most of the private barrels I've seen have been over 10 years old. I hope that releasing large quantities of all ten recipes doesn't mean the age goes down significantly.
Someone mentioned it in another comment and I agree; to keep up with demand of something like that, quality will have to decrease. Aka, cheaper barrels going in guaranteed.
The more I’ve thought about it, it really doesn’t seem like there’s gonna be many of them. Like, a single barrel worth of them. I betcha it’s gonna be crazy expensive!! Cheers brother!!
The excuse for the 375’s is that more people can get it. In reality, it’s so they can sell more of them for an abhorrent amount of money and make even more cash hahaha
True, while it’s technically a blend, I guess they can then can bottle that one single blend and call it a single barrel? I really think it’s because there’s no legal definition for majority of words you see on whiskey bottles.
@@AdorableGoose55 Hirsch did the same with their double barrel single barrel picks. Looks like they created a decent blend to start with and then dumped them into new barrels which *abracadabra!* made them single barrels lol
The Barrell 20 Toasted single barrel is pretty nuts. Im guessing it was a vatting of 20 year old IN, KY and TN then put into the toasted finishing barrels which makes them single barrels. Otherwise the bacl label would just indicate one state of origin.
The single barrel call on that confused me too. I mean, is there a LEGAL definition for single barrel? As your example, that seems like a loophole to any sort of definition. Regardless, I care more about how good it tastes versus whatever marketing lingo words they throw on it. Just interesting to see a single barrel have 3 states of distillation lol
I wonder why Penelope Havana was changed. The original label showed just finished in Cuban Rum barrels. New label shows double finished in maple and rum (no longer Cuban rum) barrels. I am guessing it wasn't what they wanted and did a second finish with maple. Curious how it will turn out.
Seguin Moreau has been used by Starlight for their double barreled stuff. Pretty much just a company like International Stave Corp and Kelvin. All depends on months of air drying, toast and char levels etc. I just see it as a way to sell Remus bourbon that no one is buying amd maybe make some coin due to its "experimental-ness"
I don’t hate Buffalo trace. I think Buffalo trace the $25 bottle and Eagle rare are great. The fact that I haven’t seen a single bottle of regular Buffalo trace in my entire state outside of the allocated isle is a problem. If you can’t supply the market with your most basic bourbons, you shouldn’t be supplying the market with $1000 retail bottles every other month. I don’t hate Buffalo trace, I hate their decisions. Except of EHT small batch, I hate that bottle. Cough medicine in a tube. If you can’t openly discuss what you like and dislike, then you live in a communist country. Hope you understand Bryan. Cheers brotha!
Yep, they’ve gotten stupid expensive. I will say, a couple of these seem like they’ll be decent prices. Barrel foundation isn’t too bad, the Penelope’s are good prices (if they aren’t snatched up like the Rio was)
Hey now, I actually enjoy aged dickel, I feel like they had some flops but a lot of good aged stuff. I may be one of the few that enjoys them lol. That being said, $800 is probably spot on if not even more than that! Just can’t do that for anything. Cheers buddy!

Four roses is also coming out with 4 new mashbills later this year on top of the old 10.
Yep I mentioned that in a previous video, forgot to even mention them in this one. That’s so many potentially new bottles I don’t even know how they’ll do it.
Best line ever: “Blanton, you know, the dude with a horse” 😂😂😂
I dont know "As you get older you start going down" was nasty work! This guy's a freak 😂 7:14
Listen man, sometimes you gotta do the dirty work!
Penelope and Maker's Mark is a go for me. Cheers!
I’m stoked for them! That is, if I can get them!
The penelope wheated still says four grain at the bottom.
Dang I didn’t even see that! Probably with filming videos at midnight. Oh well, I got it mostly right hahaha. Just more wheat in it than corn, I’ll take it!

Penelope stay in the MGP Warehouses finding all the good stuff
It’s that power they got from being acquired by mgp!
Completely agree
If that 20yr Barrell bourbon isn't one billion dollars, I'll be interested. Great content as always Trev!
The more I’ve thought about it, it really doesn’t seem like there’s gonna be many of them. Like, a single barrel worth of them. I betcha it’s gonna be crazy expensive!! Cheers brother!!
Sams Club, Members Mark, is realeasing a 1792 110 Proof whiskey! Stoked!!!
Haha, felt it in my soul at the 5:12 mark
That Penelope Wheated intrigues me as long as it's not $75+. The SW Triple 7 might be reasonably priced I hope. Thanks Trev.
We shall see! I couldn’t imagine it being too much more expensive!
VOP is also a 375
The excuse for the 375’s is that more people can get it. In reality, it’s so they can sell more of them for an abhorrent amount of money and make even more cash hahaha
Still buying the new Maker's Wood Finishing Series. Wish I could find the Lost Recipe out right now.
A local Connecticut Costco just got some at like $55. Flippers have descended like vultures.
Oh I will too! I love them, it was late and needed to rant about that label hahaha
I’m down for the Maker’s!
Big Maker's fan. Love the Heart Release. Will buy the next one. Also with I could find the Lost Recipe stuff here in Arkansas!
I can’t wait for these new ones! I’m always excited for new makers! Cheers from Arkansas brother!
@TheBourbonWrench what part of the state are you in? I'm in Jonesboro, but I usually have to drive to Memphis or Missouri to get anything.
Trev if you have not grabbed one of the Beam single barrels, black label 108prf for
How can a single barrel be distilled in 3 different states? Even if you put all three in a finishing barrel, then bottle it, it's still a blend.

Penelope Havana is the only one i want

With the 4R’s
Makes me wonder if they might be on a rotational bases.

That’s a good call! That was my very first thought “uh why are they calling this some new click baity released?”
We get it. You hate buffalo trace

Trevor this insanity has to STOP!!! I cannot keep up with all this new shit coming out.
My wallet can’t handle it! Plus, I already have so many dang bottles!
So many new releases are expensive. These prices can limit purchasing them.
Yep, they’ve gotten stupid expensive. I will say, a couple of these seem like they’ll be decent prices. Barrel foundation isn’t too bad, the Penelope’s are good prices (if they aren’t snatched up like the Rio was)
@@TheBourbonWrench I wanted a Rio, I've been enjoying my RD1 Amburana.
How to supply 10 new products... you make it lower proof and young.
We shall see, it’ll be pretty obvious decline in quality that way
First!!!! I been waiting on this
From the parking lot!!!
Four roses has the new recipes are they going to be part of the single barrels?
I’d imagine so, but only time will tell! It’ll be interesting to see how all of these come out to the market
Let’s go nerd!!!
Lol... Bobcats dont look like that.
Well supposedly the Kentucky bobcat does! Maybe the artist got the wrong reference picture hahaha
No room on the shelf now 🤔😖
I’ve been making more room for some new ones! There’s always room somewhere hahaha
Shamwow, more like Scamwow!! Shame on you BT
Barrell Bourbon dropping a 20 year bottle - will probably cost $800 and contains 20 year dickle. NO THANKS.
