- This video is about Baseball's Forgotten Ace - Cliff Lee. This is Part 1 of 4 in the 4 Aces series on the channel, where I detail the careers of each of the 2011 Phillies 4 Aces. Lee's path to the 2011 team was most bizarre, as he joined the Phillies during the 2009 season by trade, then left prior to the 2010 season via trade, and joined again, ahead of the 2010 season - this time, by way of free agency. Lee was dominant during his prime and due to his calm demeanor and hatred for the spotlight, he flew under the radar during both his playing days and beyond. Lee deserves more credit than he gets.

Thankyou for that great video. God bless you Cliff Lee where ever you are. I,ve thought about you many times.
I hadn't thought about Cliff Lee in years until seeing this. Kudos for a well done video.
Glad you enjoyed. Spread Cliff Lee awareness
Last pitcher to go 10 innings
Incredible
And the Phillies lost the game 1-0 😭
Rubber arm
Rich Hill: Am I a joke to you?
cliff Lee was one of the great ones. he pitched his ass off for the Phillies and the Phillies faithful. if we were able to bet like we can now. we could have made bets. when he was starting a game you knew as long as the Phillies scored a couple runs. it was like 90 percent chance the Phillies win. thank you cliff Lee for always giving Phillies nation your best. always pitched great pitched hard he worked hard. he was one of a few who got us. he knew what we wanted from our sports teams players. play hard give it your all. and we will love you forever. its like that in every city. but in Philly we will let you know just how we feel good or bad. its a Philly thing.
I lost $3,500 betting on him 1st pitch strike back in like 2009-2010 after Holiday lost playoff game earlier in day game cards vs dodgers.
His control was crazy tho and He was dominant for 3-4yrs
Jeez man, I hope your kid's college fund is in a secure account
@@Slim_Ch4rles don’t have any kids, not planning on it either, thanks for your concern tho hahah
Thanks for this. Someone needed to make a video on this great pitcher. I knew the phillies made a huge mistake trading him off in 2010 it made no sense. That was a long drought the past decade but thankfully we the phillies have another chance..... as long the get rid of Tiwan Walker😂😂😂
Let's hope they get the ring with these 4
this man deserves a video like this! (and you deserve a subscription for bringing it up)
appreciate it
I remember that crazy 3 year stretch like it was yesterday… great content!
Appreciate it
That must have been a massive disappointment for Phillies fans to have those 4 studs as SPs and not even get to the World Series. As a Tiger fan, I can commiserate. When we couldn't win it all with Verlander and Scherzer, 2 Cy Young winners in the early 10s it was painful, even the 3 and 4th starters in Sanchez and Porcello were really good. When we got another recent Cy Younger in Dave Price in 14 I thought it was a foregone conclusion they'd win it all. Then they got swept by the Baltimore Orioles in the opening round of the playoffs, the Nationals stole Scherzer from them and they were done.
Thank you for this video I just brought a Phillies connect with 33 lee lee is still my all time favorite Phillies player wish we could get a ring for him
thanks for the comment
He could hit too!
You’re absolutely right. It’s a shame he was in the AL for most of his career because he could swing it.
